Ryan Reynolds got support from his wife Blake Lively at the premiere of his movie "The Captive" at the Cannes International Film Festival. The couple wore coordinating black-and-white outfits from Gucci to the special screening in France on Friday, May 16.

Reynolds looked dashing in his designer suit with a white satin bowtie, while his beautiful spouse dazzled in a strapless gown with a dramatic voluminous skirt. She finished it off with Lorraine Schwartz diamond bracelet and necklaces. It was her second appearance at this year's Cannes. She previously attended the premiere of Nicole Kidman's "Grace of Monaco", wearing a Gucci maroon dress with sexy thigh-high slit.

"I think the way people like to pit women against each other ... it's really annoying, and it's really sad," she said, calling the rumors "really frustrating."

Nicolas Cage will get political in his next movie "The Runner (2015)". He is tapped to play Colin Price, an idealistic but flawed New Orleans congressman who is forced to confront his dysfunctional life after his career is destroyed in a sex scandal.

The political thriller will take place in the aftermath of the tragic BP oil spill happening in 2010. Producer Austin Stark ("Infinitely Polar Bear") is confirmed to sit behind the lens, making his writing and directorial debut with the upcoming project.

Earlier this week, reports emerged suggesting that Michael Jackson would perform a new track at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards as a hologram. Now, the performance may be canceled thanks to a lawsuit that was filed by David Alki on Thursday, May 15.

Alki filed a lawsuit against Jackson's estate and production company as well as the producers of the Billboard Awards. He claims he has the rights to the hologram technology and he doesn't want his technology to be used to show a hologram of the late King of Pop.

Kim Kardashian Reportedly Refused to Sit With Joan Rivers at NBC Upfronts

Kim Kardashian made Joan Rivers sit away from her as they attended the 2014 NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Upfronts on Thursday, May 15, Us Weekly reports. According to a source, Kanye West's fiancee refused to sit next to Rivers and asked the organizer to change Rivers' seating plan after the "Fashion Police" star insulted her family.

"[Khloe Kardashian] and Kim were seated next to Joan Rivers, but they had them move her," the source said. "Kim and Khloe both don't want drama and can't fake it anymore with Joan, so they asked the staff to keep them separate."

FX Announces 'The Bridge' Return, Premiere Date of 'Guillermo del Toro' 'The Strain'

FX has set the summer premiere dates for its new and returning series. Among the highly-anticipated ones is new series "The Strain" from executive producer Guillermo del Toro. Based on del Toro and Chuck Hogan's best-selling novels of the same name, the high-concept thriller is set to debut Sunday, July 13 at 10 P.M. ET.

The story centers on Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Centers for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called on to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers wage war for the fate of humanity.

A new teaser for "Guardians of the Galaxy" arrives ahead of the second trailer scheduled for Monday, May 19. It features some new footage including Peter Quill forming an uneasy truce with a group of outlaws he met in prison. Another scene shows the Star-Lord about to kiss Gamora.

The film is due August 1 in the U.S. Chris Pratt plays Star-Lord who was abducted from Earth at a young age. Zoe Saldana portrays Gamora, an orphan from an alien world who was raised by Thanos to become the perfect weapon and his personal assassin along with Nebula (Karen Gillan).

As I Lay Dying's Member Tim Lambesis Sentenced to Six Years in Jail

Tim Lambesis has been sentenced to six years in jail for attempting to hire a hitman to kill his estranged wife, Meggan. The member of metal band As I Lay Dying received the sentence on Friday, May 16 in San Diego Superior Court. His bandmates Nick Hipa, Phil Sgrosso and Josh Gilbert were also present as Judge Carlos Armour announced the sentencing.

In February, Lambesis pleaded guilty to the felony charge of soliciting the murder of his wife. He was arrested in May 2013 after he offered $1,000 to an undercover agent, who posed as a hitman, to kill Meggan. Lambesis told the agent to carry out the mission when he was with their adopted children to create an alibi.

ABC's "Rising Star" team has been formed. The show enlists pop singer Kesha (formerly stylized as Ke$ha), country crooner Brad Paisley and hip-hop artist Ludacris as judges for its inaugurual edition, with singer-songwriter Josh Groban as the host.

The summer singing competition is based on the popular Israeli format. It will feature a contestant singing with a wall separating him/her from the audience. As the contestant sings, audience vote on the performance via a smartphone app. Photos of the viewers voting for him/her will be shown on a giant screen. If he/she reaches a certain level of votes, the wall will be lifted to reveal the singer to the audience.

River Phoenix's final movie "Dark Blood" will finally see the light of day after 21 years in the vault. Sales company Cinemavault announces Lionsgate has just bought distribution rights for North American release and plans to unveil the movie on VOD later this year.

The psychological thriller follows Jonathan Pryce and Judy Davis as a Hollywood couple whose honeymoon goes awry when their car breaks down and they seek help from a young widower, played by Phoenix. It's still halfway done when he died from drug-induced heart failure in 1993.

A new album by Seth MacFarlane is on the way. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer/actor has recently finished working on his first Christmas set which will arrive later this year via Republic Records.

For the holiday-themed set, MacFarlane reteamed with composer, arranger and producer Joel McNeely. He was also joined by a 52-piece orchestra, which include jazz legend Peter Erskine and Frank Sinatra's former bassist Chuck Berghofer, to record the album in Abbey Road studios.

After countless rumors, finally the official words regarding when and where Kanye West and kim Kardashian will get married are out. The couple is set to get married in a highly-anticipated wedding on May 24 in Florence, Italy, confirms spokeswoman Elisa Di Lupo at the Florence mayor's office.

The ceremony will take place at Florence's 16th-century Belvedere Fort which was located near the famed Boboli Gardens. The building was built in 1590 and was just reopened for the public in 2013 after being closed for five years due to renovations. The pair rented it for 300,000 euros ($410,000).
