Video: Andrew Garfield Performs 'Spider-Man' Theme on 'Tonight Show'

Andrew Garfield showed his musical skill on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". The American-British actor was on the show to promote his upcoming movie "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" when host Jimmy Fallon suddenly brought out a guitar and asked the Spidey depicter to play something for them.

Initially reluctant, Garfield enthused, "This is important, I am no Adele Dazeem... Idina Menzel. This is the first time I've ever sung in public," before he performed a stripped-down version of the theme to the classic "Spider-Man" cartoon. A few moment later, Fallon and house band The Roots backed him up, with the comedian on the tambourine.

NAACP's L.A. Chapter President Resigns Following Controversy Over Donald Sterling

Leon Jenkins, the president of the L.A. chapter of NAACP, resigned from his position on Thursday, May 1. Jenkins previously went under fire after the organization planned to honor L.A. Clippers' owner Donald Sterling, who allegedly made racist comments against African-American, with lifetime achievement award on May 15. He rescinded the offer on Monday.

"Please be advised that the legacy, history and reputation of the NAACP is more important to me than the presidency," Jenkins said, as quoted by CNN. In his statement, Jenkins also said that he resigned "to separate the Los Angeles NAACP and the NAACP from the negative exposure I have caused."

Quentin Tarantino Files New 'Hateful Eight' Lawsuit Against Gawker

Quentin Tarantino is not done fighting Gawker over the spreading of his leaked script "The Hateful Eight". Roughly a week after his lawsuit was dismissed by a federal judge, the "Django Unchained" director files an amended complaint.

In response to the judge's ruling that the initial lawsuit "merely speculates that some direct infringement must have taken place," now Tarantino is more direct with his revised suit. It alleges a single count of copyright infringement (direct and contributory).

Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle website Goop announced on Thursday, May 1 that they would hold a yard sale which sells unwanted clothes and other items from some celebrities. Paltrow will donate some pieces from her closet. The "Iron Man 3" star will be joined by Miranda Kerr and Beyonce Knowles among others. Proceeds from the "Super-Classy Yard Sale" will go to a charity.

"Last year, we did a big story on closet organization, and in the process, sold a handful of pieces on behalf of three charities. It was such a success that we decided to do it again, and enlisted some friends-of-Goop, who have particularly outstanding personal style, to help this year," Paltrow wrote. "100 percent of the profits benefit DonorsChoose, a charity where public school teachers can ask directly for help fulfilling specific classroom needs."

The handwritten lyrics of Bob Dylan's hit "Like a Rolling Stone" are set to be sold at an auction this summer. Sotheby's said on Thursday, May 1 that the lyric sheets were expected to sell for an estimated $1 million to $2 million.

The lyrics of the track were written in pencil on four sheets of paper belonging to the Roger Smith hotel in Washington D.C. The sheets also feature doodles of a hat, an animal with antlers, a bird and numerous revisions and additions to the lyrics.

Designers Dolce and Gabbana Lost Appeal in Tax Conviction

Italian fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana lost their appeal in a tax case on Wednesday, April 30. They were accused of hiding hundreds of millions of euros from authorities through a Luxembourg holding company Gado and were given suspended sentences of 18 months in jail. The sentence was reduced from 20 months because the statute of limitations applied to certain facts in the case.

The decision taken on Wednesday upheld a verdict in June. Dolce and Gabbana have denied that they were hiding hundreds of millions of euros from authorities. Back in March, a Milan prosecutor asked the court to clear the pair.

"I don't know yet. We're talking it through. I still am very ambitious for the character. And tonally I feel like we corrected the ship with the last one. But I feel we can still go further, in a way. If I did another one I'm 99.9% sure it would be the last, so that will inform what it is for me," he says.

New details emerged following singer Paul Simon and his musician wife Edie Brickell's arrest over the weekend. The couple was arrested at their home in New Canaan for disorderly conducts after Brickell's mother made a call to the police, previous report suggested. New report, however, said that it was Simon who made the 911 call when their argument got physical.

As reported by the Norwalk, CT newspaper The Hour, police report regarding the incident said that Brickell confronted Simon after he did something that "broke her heart." Simon called 911 but hung up the phone. Wearing an orange uniform, the singer attended a hearing on his probation violation at Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, May 1 where Judge James Brandlin decided that he would stay incarcerated as his lawyer negotiated with prosecutors regarding his probation violation.

Sony Changes 'Goosebumps' and 'Smurfs 3' Release Dates

Sony has made some changes to its future family films. "Goosebumps" will now hit theaters ahead the not-yet-titled third "Smurfs" film, moving from March 23, 2016 to August 7, 2015. The children horror story will now compete against Fox's video game adaptation "Assassin's Creed".

Based on R.L. Stine's children horror books, "Goosebumps" is starring Jack Black and directed by Rob Letterman from a screenplay by Darren Lemke and Mike White. In the film, Black stars as Stine who soon realizes that the monsters from his books are actually real, and he must protect his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When they escape from his books and attack an unsuspecting town, it's up to Stine and two teens to get the monsters back into their stories.
