Mariah Carey to Release Her New Album in Beyonce-Esque Fashion

Mariah Carey plans to follow Beyonce Knowles' footsteps. The singer will announce the title, track listing, artwork, and music of her 14th studio album all at once via digital partners, similar to what Beyonce did with her self-titled LP last year except that Queen Bey didn't warn her fans beforehand.

"I have to be the one that announces this, especially the title," the mother of two explains in the newest issue of Billboard magazine where she graces its cover. The clue for the album's title is that it will be taken from a "personal possession of mine that's part of an entity that I've had almost all my life."

Justin Bieber Released After His Detainment at LAX

Justin Bieber has been released by U.S. Customs following a few hours of detainment. The Canadian singer was not allowed to leave the airport following a flight from Japan on Thursday, April 24. As reported by E! News, the "Baby" singer then was seen leaving the terminal at around 6:20 P.M.

Surrounded by his security team, the pop star made a dash to waiting cars while reporters as well as some fans had been waiting for the star outside. Bieber, who wore a white t-shirt, checkered top, a fedora and a pair of sunglasses, grabbed his crotch and made funny faces to cameras as he left. Two SUVs and a van was waiting for Bieber and his entourage and he entered one of the SUVs without saying anything to the photographers.

C.J. Harris was the latest "American Idol" finalist who got sent packing on Thursday night, April 24. The 23-year-old might not be too shocked though, since he claimed that he "had a feeling" that it was time for him to go home. "There was something about the day, something about the way they were messing with my microphone," he said after the results show aired. "I could just tell."

Judge Jennifer Lopez, on the other hand, appeared to be overcome with emotion when learning C.J.'s journey on the singing competition had to end that night. "She told me that I got a really good soul and I just got to keep chasing my music career," the Alabama singer revealed what J.Lo said to console him. "That I'll be successful as long as I want it."

The "In Da Club" hitmaker recently shared his thoughts on West's latest album in an interview with MTV News U.K. "He's obviously a talent within our culture and is one of the driving forces of it, but some of that s**t is weird to me," 50 said.

"That last record, to be honest, I'm not playing it right now. I still play 'Flashing Lights', 'Gold Digger' and that whole ('The College Dropout') project," he continued. "But some of the new stuff is so creative and feels like he's trying to create a whole new sound."

"We are working on stuff and hopefully very soon we're going to have new stuff out. Well, in the next year," said Fortus. Fellow member DJ Ashba then added, "Everybody in the band is like writers. We all have our home studios. We all record ideas and pass them around. It's that type of vibe."

"The Bachelorette" may have to make some adjustments following the tragic death of season 10 contestant Eric Hill. While the extreme-sports enthusiast was no longer filming the reality show at the time the paragliding accident took place, the reality show's creator Mike Fleiss promises that they're "going to try to be as sensitive as possible" to handle the issue.

Speaking to E! News at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of his documentary "The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir", Fleiss admits the incident is "a bizarre predicament that we never expected to be in, but our problems aren't important." He adds that what's more important is "his family now," saying, "My heart goes out to them. I pray for them and my staff, they're just wrecked."

MTV has announced its summer line-up, which starts with the premiere of an Ed Sheeran documentary. The British singer-songwriter will be the subject of the first episode of new series "9 Days and Nights", offering a look at "inside the world" of the "Lego House" hitmaker.

The documentary will provide "a portrait of a young artist at a critical juncture in his life, filled with the energy of a career that he hopes is largely ahead of him." It is set to air Tuesday, June 10 at 11 P.M. ET/PT.

Production on the adaptation of Blizzard's popular video game "Warcraft" has begun. The first look at the movie has been revealed in a behind-the-scene picture posted on Empire magazine. It shows the director Duncan Jones looking intently at the actors through the monitors.

Scripted by "Blood Diamond" writer Charles Leavitt, the flick will be set in a high-fantasy medieval-like world where gryphons, dragons, zombies, werewolves and elves exist. It is expected to deal with the first contact between humans and orcs, centering on Anduin Lothar and Durotan.

One Direction Accused of Copying Special Effect in 'You and I' Music Video

One Direction has been accused of copying the concept of their "You & I" music video. Australian company Oh Yeah Wow has claimed that the boys' new visuals, which features the "freeze" special effects, looks too similar to one that they created for a Melbourne-based band called Clubfeet.

'Man of Steel' Sequel Taps Stage Actor to Play Cyborg

The sequel to "Man of Steel" has thrown Cyborg into the mix. Stage actor Ray Fisher is cast to play the new superhero in the film, joining Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot who take the roles of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman respectively.

According to Variety, Cyborg aka Victor Stone has a minor role in "Man of Steel 2" but the film is a platform, meaning he will have a "much more significant" part to play in future DC Comics-based films "related to the Justice League universe." Cyborg first appeared in 1980's "DC Comics Presents" #26, became a member of Teen Titans and later co-founded Justice League.

'Friday the 13th' Series to Bring Slasher to TV

Jason Voorhees will be brought to life again on a new TV show. Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films and Crystal Lake Entertainment are teaming up to produce an hour-long series based on the characters and settings of "Friday the 13th", Deadline reports.

Sean S. Cunningham, who directed the original 1980 film, will executive produce the dramatic series along with EFO Films principals Randall Emmett & George Furla, Mark Canton of Atmosphere Entertainment MM, Steve B. Harris of Diversion3 Entertainment, and Ted Fox of Fox Entertainment. Horror Inc. president Robert Barsamian, who produced the films in the slasher movie franchise, will also produce.

"Jem and the Holograms" is moving on in a rather fast pace. It was only last month that Jon M. Chu was announced as the director of the live action movie but today the lead cast have been revealed in addition to the first images of them in costume.

"Nashville" actress Aubrey Peeples will play the lead character Jem while the Holograms will be played by Stefanie Scott, Aurora Perrineau and Hayley Kiyoko. This is the first major film role for Peeples whose credits are mostly TV movies and series appearances. Scott will portray Jem's sister Kimber, Perrineau will be Shana and Kiyoko is Aja.

Justin Bieber Detained by U.S. Customs at LAX

Justin Bieber was detained by U.S. customs officials after flying into Los Angeles from Japan. The singer was flying with Singapore Airlines and landed at 1 P.M. on Thursday, April 24 when he was stopped.

Sources told E! Online that Bieber was questioned for around two hours inside the airport's Tom Bradley International Terminal while his bodyguards and entourage were waiting outside for him. The officials have not divulged the reason of his detainment but TMZ reported that it was all because of his legal troubles.
