Lupita Nyong'o is revealed as the latest Lancome brand ambassador. A photo of the Oscar-winning actress in her first beauty campaign for the label was debuted on Friday, April 4.

"I am truly honored to join the Maison Lancome, a brand with such a prestigious history and that I have always loved," Nyong'o said in a statement. "I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman's freedom to be herself."

The truth is finally out. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi confirmed that she's pregnant with her and fiance Jionni LaValle's second child and would give birth in fall.

"Jionni and I are so excited to confirm that we are expecting our second child! Now knowing that our test results are good and our baby is healthy, we can finally talk about it," Polizzi wrote in her blog on Friday, April 4. She also revealed that her wedding to LaValle would go on as scheduled later this year despite the pregnancy.

Tom Hardy Joins British Drama Based on His Original Story 'Taboo'

Tom Hardy is going to star in an eight-part miniseries titled "Taboo". In this project, the actor will reunite with his "Locke" director and screenwriter Steven Knight as well as "Child 44" producer Ridley Scott.

Knight wrote the drama based on an original story by Hardy and his father Chips Hardy. Per Variety, it is set in 1813 when James Keziah Delaney (Hardy), a rogue adventurer, returns from Africa with 14 ill-gotten diamonds to seek vengeance after the death of his father. Refusing to sell the family business to the East India Company, he sets out to build his own trade and shipping empire, and finds himself playing a dangerous game with two warring nations, Britain and America.

Speaking to reporters after the results show, Harry Connick Jr. justified their decision to use the save on Sam. "As soon as we saw who the three were, we immediately started saying, 'What does each of these people bring to the competition if we give them the save?' We talked about all three of them, and when we heard it was Sam, we started flying back-and-forth," he said.

The Rolling Stones is returning to Australia for their "14 on Fire" tour later this year. The legendary band took to their website on Thursday, April 3 to announce that the shows, which were axed last month, had been rescheduled for October until November.

"The rescheduled Australia/ New Zealand tour dates will take place between 25 October to 22 November 2014," they wrote. "Exact dates for each city will be released as soon as the scheduling is confirmed."

Jamaican Dancehall Star Vybz Kartel Gets Life Sentence in Murder Case

Jamaican dancehall artist Vybz Kartel has been sentenced to life in a murder case. Kartel received the sentence on Thursday, April 3 in Jamaica's Supreme Court. Justice Lennox Campbell stated that the star, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, would serve at least 35 years before he is eligible for parole.

Kartel and other three men were found guilty in the 2011 murder of Clive "Lizard" Williams, while another man, Shane Williams, was acquitted in the trial which lasted for 65 days. Shawn 'Shawn Storm' Campbell and Kahira Jones were handed with life sentence and they would serve 25 years before being eligible for parole. The other man Andre St John also got life sentence and must serve 30 years before he is eligible for parole.

Author Gabriel Garcia Marquez Hospitalized

Colombian author Gabriel Garcia Marquez, who is popular for his novel "One Hundred Years of Solitude", was admitted to a hospital in Mexico earlier this week. According to a statement from Mexico's Secretary of Health, the Nobel Prize winner is treated for infections in his lungs and his urinary tract as well as dehydration.

"The patient has responded to treatment. Once he's completed his course of antibiotics his discharge from the hospital will be evaluated," the statement read. As reported by The Guardian, the author's son additionally talked about his father's health, saying, "He went to a normal room. He was never in the emergency room." Marquez is expected to be released early next week.

Chris Brown Transferred Into U.S. Marshal Custody

Chris Brown was taken into custody by U.S. marshals on Wednesday, March 2, U.S. Marshals Service spokesperson Laura Vega explained on Thursday. Brown then will be transported to Washington D.C. for a misdemeanor assault trial, but Vega refused to provide more info of the trip.

As reported by The Associated Press, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin decided that sending Brown to Washington would be "the most expeditious and convenient method for all parties" as Brown battled his legal trouble. The singer's lawyer Mark Geragos previously filed a motion to block Brown's transfer to federal custody, arguing that it would hurt his client's ability to prepare for the court battle. The judge dismissed the motion despite Geragos' statement that he would send Brown to Washington himself.
