Regina Spektor Announced Birth of Her First Child

Regina Spektor is officially a mother. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter announced on Thursday, April 1 that she had given birth to her first child, a baby boy, with husband Jack Dishel.

"I wanted to let you know that Jack and I have been happily hanging out with our new little son and that all is going great!" she wrote on her Facebook page. "Thank you for the tons of well wishes and good vibes- we wish them all right back at ya."

Russell Brand Twisting Fairy Tales for New Children's Books

Russell Brand is adding children's book author to his CV. The British comedian announced in a video message on Thursday, April 1 that he was working on a series of illustrated children's books titled "Trickster Tales".

Brand will share his own interpretation of classic fairy stories because "once we start changing the way children see the world, oh we can do all sorts of stuff". His first story in the series is called "The Pied Piper of Hamelin." He said, "I know you've already heard of that. And you might think, 'Well, that isn't your story.' Yeah, I know, I've done a different version of it."

Lavigne initially wrote "Breakaway" for her 2002 debut album "Let Go". The empowering track, however, was sent to the vault after the Canadian songstress deemed it unsuitable for her first LP.

James Franco to Play Ex-Gay Activist Michael Glatze in Movie

James Franco will play a real-life controversial figure in his next film. According to Page Six, the Hugh Hefner of "Lovelace" is tapped to play former-gay advocate, Michael Glatze, in a movie produced by Gus Van Sant. It will start shooting in New York in July.

Glatze founded Young Gay America (YGA) magazine. He also made a documentary film, "Jim in Bold", to tackle gay teen suicide. Considered as one of the leaders in LGBT community, he caused a buzz when publicly denouncing homosexuality and becoming a fundamentalist Christian.

Peter Jackson's private jet takes part in the search of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH730 which went missing in early March. As reported by The New Zealand Herald, a representative for the director of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" has confirmed that Jackson's Gulfstream G650 jet joins others to look for the missing Boeing 777.

A spokesperson for Jackson Matt Dravitzki declined to comment on how much the director was compensated for the use of the jet. "Peter would not seek publicity for something like this and would actively avoid it in fact. A lot of civilian and military aircraft are involved in the search, and it's kind of disappointing that because one is owned by a celebrity it becomes a matter of news when there are [over] 200 people missing," Dravitzki said.

After previously saying that "Avengers: Age of Ultron" will give more depth to Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, now producer Kevin Feige says Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye will have bigger roles in the sequel. It's apparently Marvel's way to make up for not making solo films for those characters.

"I would love to do [Incredible Hulk 2] with Mark Ruffalo," he told Joblo. "But part of the fun of 'Age of Ultron' was saying, you've seen another Iron Man adventure before, you see another Thor adventure and another Cap adventure, but we haven't seen the Green Goliath again. So that was important in the characters you haven't seen - Hulk being one of them and Hawkeye being one of them - Ultron will make up for it. They have very big parts in 'Age of Ultron'. "

In a hilarious Honest Trailer, which is released in regular and spoiler-free versions, a voiceover calls the HBO series an "abusive show you keep watching no matter times it hurts you."

It offers cuts of violent scenes from season 1 to season 3 and points out the nudity scenes frequently included in the episodes. "It's kind of like a history test, but with dragons and boobs," the voiceover describes the show. The spoiler-free version is pretty much the same but blurs the scenes that potentially spoil the story.
