Robin Wright Penn's first husband Dane Witherspoon has died at the age of 56. The former soap opera star's cause of death is still unknown.

The sad news was delivered by actor A. Martinez who shared the screen with Robin and Dane on NBC's "Santa Barbara". He wrote on Facebook on Saturday, March 29, "Dane passed this morning. People who watched Santa Barbara in its earliest days will remember him as Joe Perkins, a character to which he brought a quiet grace and deep, bittersweet sense of soul."

Chris Evans Denies Retiring From Acting

Chris Evans has denied recent rumors that he was planning to retire. The "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" actor said his statement in an interview with Variety had been misinterpreted as him quitting acting.

Evans told Variety that he might work off-screen as a director once his Marvel contract is up. "I've known for a while I wanted to direct," the 32-year-old actor was quoted as saying. "But [time] never really opens up. There's another movie to do, there's another acting job. It just got to a point where I was like, you know - I have to do this."

'Love and Hip Hop' Star Mendeecees Harris Released From Jail

Mendeecees Harris, who is popular for his appearance on VH1's "Love & Hip Hop New York", is released from jail. According to Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr. agreed to release Harris on a $600,000 bail on Monday, March 31 and his fiancee Yandy Smith dropped $200,000 of the total bail.

Harris was arrested last year. He was accused of being involved in a New York-based drug ring alongside his brother Tyrus Harris and another man named Ronald Walker. The star's brother pleaded guilty that day while Walker pleaded guilty last year. Tyrus is now facing a five to seven-year sentence.

The video offers sneak peeks at how tricky Meredith is, using the students to collect information about their parents. There are also scenes showing Meredith getting flirty with some men at school as she begins her mission to find a rich guy to fall in love with. The video additionally introduces David Alan Grier as the school principal, Kristin Davis as Meredith's "rival" and Sara Gilbert as her best friend.

Report: The Rolling Stones' Tour to Resume in May

The Rolling Stones' "14 on Fire" tour, which was postponed earlier this month due to the death of frontman Mick Jagger's longtime girlfriend L'Wren Scott, will reportedly continue in a few weeks. According to NME, the tour is set to resume on May 26 at the Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway.

The legendary British rockers will then bring the tour to other European countries including Portugal, France and Belgium. They will also take the stages at some European festivals like Pinkpop Festival in Netherlands and Roskilde Festival in Denmark.

DJ Frankie Knuckles, who is widely dubbed Godfather of House, has passed away. As reported by The Wrap, his longtime Chicago promoter and associate Robert Williams confirmed that Frankie passed away from complications with diabetes. He was 59.

Chicago DJ Vince Lawrence took to Facebook to share the sad news. "A legend has fallen. All hail Frankie Knuckles an inspiration to us all," he wrote. "30 years ago on April Fools Marvin was taken away & i didn't believe it...now this horrible news. #RIPFrankieKnuckles," Questlove wrote after learning of Frankie's passing. "Jesus man. A new "Pink Panther" movie is in the works at MGM. Unlike previous movies that centered on inspector Jacques Clouseau, the upcoming project which will be a live-action/animation hybrid feature will focus on the titular feline. "The Simpsons" director David Silverman will sit behind the lens.

The Pink Panther was introduced in the first original movie as the name of diamond targeted by a master thief. The animal itself only appeared briefly on the opening credits. Due to its popularity, it spawned animated shorts, one of which won an Oscar, a TV series, and comic books among others.
