Matthew Goode Upped to Series Regular on 'The Good Wife'

As expected, Matthew Goode is promoted to series regular on "The Good Wife" following the death of Josh Charles' character Will Gardner. Goode, who plays attorney Finn Polmar, went from a guest star to a series regular for the remainder of season 5.

It was no coincidence that Goode's character was introduced during the episode when Gardner was shot and killed. "He's Alicia's connection to Will's last moments, because he was there [in the courtroom]. He was with Will. And it turns out he was fairly heroic in covering Will. And Finn was hit a few times with gunfire because of that. So Alicia feels a connection there," executive producer Robert King told TVLine.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin thanked fans for their support following the announcement of their separation. Paltrow was back blogging on lifestyle website Goop on Friday, March 28 morning to reveal how they were doing.

"Our moms were raised by depression-era ladies who used a single tea bag for two cups of tea and never met a leftover they didn't eat," Paltrow wrote in the post titled "One Bird, Three Meals". "This issue of three delicious chicken recipes is in honor of our grandmothers, who taught us the good old-fashioned art of not wasting a scrap."

Stephen Colbert Did NOT Write Offensive and Racist Tweet

Stephen Colbert is not the villain in the recent tweet controversy. The talk show host outraged his Twitter followers on Thursday, March 27 for being racist towards Asian people in a post, but as it turned out, he was not the one writing the tweet.

The offensive tweet posted on The Colbert Report account read, "I am willing to show #Asian community I care by introducing the Ching-Chong Ding-Dong Foundation for Sensitivity to Orientals or Whatever." The tweet was later taken down but it already did the damage. Readers slammed the message and petitioned to boycott Colbert's show by using #CancelColbert hashtag.

Zac Efron's Friends 'Worried' About Him After the Skid Row Incident

Zac Efron was involved in a fight at a dangerous area in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 23 after midnight. Following the incident at Skid Row, TMZ reports that his friends were "worried sick" about him because they believed he was up to no good at that time.

According to earlier report, Efron and a man who claimed to be his bodyguard ended up at the area because their car ran out of gas when "cruising." The man then said that at that time they went out to enjoy some sushi in Little Tokyo. A friend who apparently was not convinced with the story said, "Zac's a loner. He goes out rarely and the idea of him driving for miles to go to some sushi restaurant in downtown L.A. after midnight is preposterous."

A talented musician turning heads in Portland, Audrey believes Coulson to be dead and has no idea that he's guarding her from a distance as a super-powered threat from her past re-emerges.

Paul Walker's Mother and Ex Settle Issues of Meadow's Guardianship

Earlier this month, Paul Walker's mother Cheryl Ann Walker filed court documents to seek guardianship of his daughter Meadow, claiming that Meadow's mother Rebecca Soteros had drinking problems. The guardianship war is now apparently solved.

According to E! News, a court meeting which was planned to take place on March 27 was averted. "Parties involved are trying to resolve whatever the issues are so that this matter goes off calendar," Walker's lawyer Bela G. Lugosi told the site outside the courtroom.

Janelle Monae turned the stage of "American Idol" into the carnival of Brazil when she delivered the first live TV performance of "What Is Love" during the Thursday, March 27 episode of the singing show. After an introduction from host Ryan Seacrest as well as judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr., the R&B diva appeared on the stage in all-white outfit.

She sang the first lines of the fun song, which appears in the soundtrack of "Rio 2", with some backing vocalists and a backing band before showing off some energetic choreography while being surrounded by a bunch of dancers and drummers. Some scenes from the animated movie were played on the big screen behind them.

Kurt Cobain Comic Book to Be Released in April

A comic book which tells the story of Kurt Cobain's life will be released next month. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comic book is written and drawn by Jayfri Hashim and it will be available in digital version as well as hard copy on April 2. The book will center on the Nirvana member's early career and his rise to stardom.

"Not only is this a great way to understand the importance of his contribution to music, but it is a great tool for kids to read about him in a different medium," said Darren G. Davis of Blue Water Productions. "Our biography comic books are now taught in schools and libraries for students and reluctant readers."

CinemaCon 2014 Teases Final 'Hobbit' Film, Shows 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Opening Scene

Warner Bros. and Fox have big presentations at the CinemaCon as the annual gathering of theater owners in Las Vegas continues on. First footage of "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" and the video that featured opening scenes of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" were shown by the respective studios.

"As other studios cut back, we are looking to expand our franchises and release as many films a year as ever," said WB's CEO Tsujihara, noting that "The Lego Movie" and "Harry Potter" spin-off movie, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", would launch a new series. College to Offer a Class on Miley Cyrus

Skidmore College which is located in Saratoga Springs, New York is going to offer a class on Miley Cyrus this summer. The course will be called "The Sociology of Miley Cyrus: Race, Class, Gender and Media" and will center on the twerking singer. Some topics which will be discussed include gender, race, class, fame and power.

"Unfortunately, the way we talk about female pop stars and female bodies, class matters, gender matters, sexuality and sexual performance matters, but race matters a lot [too] and the way we talk about white pop stars is quite different than how we talk about the bodies of women of color," Professor Carolyn Chernoff said of the class, as reported by ABC News. "[Cyrus] complicates representations of the female body in pop culture in some ways that are good, bad, and ugly."

Avicii Cancels Miami Show Due to Hospitalization

Avicii has canceled a show that's scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 27. According to TMZ, the DJ was forced to scrap the plan to play the gig at SLS South Beach in Miami Beach after he got hospitalized.

The cancellation was announced shortly before Avicii's supposed to be onstage. DJ Cassette informed the crowd at the venue that the Swedish musician was at a hospital and he wouldn't be able to perform.

L'Wren Scott's Brother: Some of Her Ashes Will Be Buried in Utah

Designer L'Wren Scott, who passed away earlier this month, was cremated in accordance to her wishes. Now, her ashes are split between her family and longtime boyfriend Mick Jagger. Scott's brother Randall Bambrough told New York Daily News on Wednesday, March 26 that he had some of her ashes and revealed what he would do with them.

"Some of those ashes, they will be buried near our parents here in Utah. And there will be a ceremony, date to be determined, in Utah for all family members who will have an opportunity to see their friends and others," he said. The others, meanwhile, are "with the Jagger family. That's all I can say."
