Leah Remini on Why She Left Scientology: 'I Was a Hypocrite'

Leah Remini talked some more of what drove her out of Scientology. The former "The King of Queens" star revealed that her daughter Sophia, now aged 9, was among "dozens of influencing factors" in why she left after committing herself to lifelong membership.

"[My daughter Sophia] was getting to the age where the acclimation into the Church would have to start," Remini told Buzzfeed of the process where a series of probing questions are asked. "I started thinking of my own childhood and how I grew up resenting my mother because she was never home. In my house, it's family first - but I was spending most of my time at the Church. So, I was saying 'family first,' but I wasn't showing that. I didn't like the message that sent my daughter."

Rihanna Working on Concept Album for DreamWorks' 'Home'

DreamWorks announced on Monday, February 25 that they collaborated with Rihanna to work on a concept album based on a new animated film titled "Home". The Barbadian singer will also be in the movie, giving voice to protagonist Gratuity 'Tip' Tucci.

"In addition to her starring role, Rihanna will record the score for the movie and release an original concept album with songs from the film," DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg said in a conference call to announce the studio's fourth-quarter and 2013 year-end results. Rihanna reportedly will also perform new songs in the film.

Spike Lee made his view on gentrification clear during an African-American History Month lecture at Brooklyn's Pratt Institute on Tuesday, February 25. The director launched expletive rant against the newcomer influx to his former neighborhood in New York.

"I grew up here in New York. It's changed," Lee said. "And why does it take an influx of white New Yorkers in the South Bronx, in Harlem, in Bed Stuy, in Crown Heights for the facilities to get better? The garbage wasn't picked up every mother******g day when I was living in 165 Washington Park. PS 20 was not good. PS II. Rothschild 294. The police weren't around. When you see white mothers pushing their babies in strollers, three o'clock in the morning on 125th Street, that must tell you something."

Many stars attended a question and answer event with Dalai Lama on Wednesday afternoon, February 26 at the California Science Center. Held by The Lourdes Foundation, the event is aimed at spreading the message of compassion for world peace. According to E! News, the event took place in the same room as the Space Shuttle Endeavour. There were 40 round tables to accommodate the audience.

Celebrities who were present at the event included Sharon Stone, Larry King, Anna Kendrick, Lupita Nyong'o, Amber Heard, Eva Longoria, Naomi Watts, Jeremy Renner, Jim Carrey, Nikki Reed, Joshua Jackson, Malin Akerman, Christina Hendricks, Rosario Dawson, Sandra Oh, Amber Valletta, Joanna Krupa and Lisa Vanderpump. Sam Worthington Hit With Restraining Order After Allegedly Punching a Paparazzo

Sam Worthington appeared on Manhattan Criminal Court in New York on Wednesday, February 26 following a run-in with a photographer in New York City's Greenwich Village. He was arraigned on assault charges for allegedly punching the photographer, Sheng Li.

During the hearing, the Australian actor was hit with a restraining order, barring him from contact with photographer Li for six months. He was also charged with two 2 counts of third-degree assault, 1 count of attempted assault, and 1 count of harassment. He faces up to one year in jail if convicted.

Seth Rogen testified at a Senate Appropriations subcommittee hearing on the economics and current state of research of Alzheimer's disease treatment and prevention on Wednesday, February 26 in Washington D.C. The actor attended the hearing to share a story related to the disease.

At the hearing, Rogen said that he met his wife Lauren Miller's parents nine years ago. Shortly after, her mother Adele was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at the age of 55. "After forgetting who she and her loved one were, she forgot how to speak, feed herself, dress herself, all by age of 60," he said. At that time, Rogen also admitted that he only knew that the disease "was something only really, really old people got" which included "forgetting your keys and mismatched shoes."

Tim Lambesis, the singer of Grammy-nominated heavy metal group As I Lay Dying, pleaded guilty to trying to hire a man to kill his estranged wife Meggan on Tuesday, February 25 in a San Diego court, PEOPLE reports. Lambesis was arrested in May 2013 and is currently free on a $2 million bond.

He allegedly met an undercover agent who posed as a hitman after an acquaintance arranged the meeting. The singer then was said giving the agent an envelope with $1,000 in it, a photo of his wife, her address and security code. Lambesis also asked the hitman to carry out the mission when their children were with him to create an alibi.

The results of an autopsy for a passenger who died in a fatal car accident involving Salma Hayek's brother have been released. As reported by L.A. Times, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County coroner's office Ed Winter said that the passenger, Ian Cuttler Sala, died of multiple traumatic injuries as the result of impact during the crash.

Coroner's officials ruled the crash as accident, but they said speed and wind might contribute to the crash. Lt. Andrew Neiman of Los Angeles Police Department additionally said that alcohol and drugs were not involved. "There was a loss of control that sent him fishtailing," he explained.

MacKay is one of the editors of "The Lego Movie", while Zwart's credits include directing "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" and "The Karate Kid". Cahill is known for helming "Another Earth" and "I Origins", while Wadlow most recently directed "Kick-Ass 2".

Lisa Kudrow Loses Lawsuit Against Former Manager, Is Ordered to Pay $1.6 Million

Lisa Kudrow has lost a $1.6 million lawsuit against her former manager, Scott Howard. The Hollywood Reporter reports that a jury at a Los Angeles Superior Court ruled against the "Friends" actress on Wednesday, February 26, finding that Kudrow was liable for breach of contract.

Howard and Kudrow parted ways in 2007 after 16 years of partnership. In 2008, Howard filed the lawsuit, claiming that Kudrow stopped paying him. According to Howard, he and the actress had an oral agreement in which he's owed five percent of her earnings made from works she gained while they were working together.

Sony Pictures is moving forward with its Steve Jobs movie, a year after critically-panned "jOBS" starring Ashton Kutcher was released. "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)" director David Fincher who is currently completing the Ben Affleck starrer, "Gone Girl", is in early negotiation stage to helm the biopic.

The film is based on Walter Isaacson's best-selling biography of the Apple co-founder. Aaron Sorkin, who penned Fincher's "The Social Network", has finished adapting the book into a screenplay. "The Social Network" producer Scott Rudin will produce the biopic along with Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady.

'Frozen' Soundtrack Spends Fifth Week Atop Billboard 200

Three months after its release, "Frozen (2013)" continues to break new records. The animated movie's soundtrack album has just returned to No. 1 on Billboard 200 after selling additional 89,000 copies, Nielsen SoundScan reports.

It marks the record's fifth non-consecutive weeks at the chart's top slot. It also becomes the first soundtrack with the most weeks at No. 1 since 1998, when "Titanic" stayed atop the list for 16 consecutive weeks.

In the video, Bieber can be seen wearing a hoodie which covers his head, baggy pants and bright red shoes. The "Baby" singer walks the straight line and appears to be unsteady when taking a turn to go back where he starts. Near the ending of the video, he can be seen talking animatedly to an officer.

"Star Wars Episode 7" may have found its villain. Adam Driver is reportedly in final talks to play the main baddie in the first installment of J.J. Abrams' upcoming planned "Star Wars" trilogy. Driver was first linked to the tentpole project last year with Michael Fassbender and Hugo Weaving, but scheduling conflicts reportedly stood in the way. Netflix's Marvel Series to Film in New York, Benefiting From the City's Tax Credits

Four Netflix series based on Marvel's characters will be filmed in New York. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and Disney CEO Bob Iger announced on Wednesday, February 26 a new production deal that will accommodate the production of at least 60 episodes of the new shows.

The Walt Disney Co., the parent company of Marvel Entertainment, will spend $200 million over three years filming the four new shows and is expected to "create at least 3,000 jobs, including 400 full-time jobs." In return, the company will receive $4 million in tax breaks.
