Bode Miller Defends Reporter Who Pushed Him Too Far

NBC's reporter Christin Cooper received backlash when she pressed Olympian Bode Miller with questions about his dead brother in an interview. Nevertheless, the U.S. alpine skier defended Cooper and explained why he broke down in tears before walking away.

Miller was fresh from winning Bronze at the men's super-G event at the Sochi Olympics Sunday, February 16. Cooper first asked him the difference between this Olympics to previous ones, leading Miller to bring up the subject of his brother Chelone aka Chilly who died of apparent seizure in April 2013.

Julianne Hough has been seeing a new man after her split from TV personality Ryan Seacrest. The dancer was caught walking hand in hand with hockey player Brooks Laich while hiking on Sunday, February 16 afternoon in Studio City, California.

Hough, who cut her hair short recently, was not shy of showing her affection for the Washington Capitals center. The 25-year-old, wearing a white pocketed tank top, grey athletic shorts and sunglasses, held the leash to her tiny dogs while they were strolling.

'Pushing Daisies' Prepped for Stage Musical Production

"Pushing Daisies", the critically-acclaimed comedy-drama that many thought was canceled too soon, may be revived on stage. The show's creator Bryan Fuller acknowledged that the show was being prepped for a musical adaptation.

Fuller, who has been casually dropping hints about "Pushing Daisies" revival since 2012, is a step ahead in the plan. "I've had conversations very recently with Barry Sonnenfeld about financing a film, and with Kristin Chenoweth and Warner Brothers about developing a stage musical," Fuller told BroadwayWorld.com.

'Snake Salvation' Star Jamie Coots Dies of Snake Bite

Jamie Coots, a snake-handling pastor who is popular for his appearance in National Geographic's canceled reality show "Snake Salvation", passed away on Saturday, February 15 of snake bite. According to Middlesboro Police Chief Jeff Sharpe, Coots was found dead in his home at around 10 P.M. after being bitten by a snake in his church, Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name.

"Jamie went across the floor. He had one of the rattlers in his hand, he came over and he was standing beside me. It was plain view, it just turned its head and bit him in the back of the hand ... within a second," another preacher, Cody Winn, told WBIR-TV. Coots, who believed that God protected believers from snake bites, went home and said he did not want to receive medical treatment.

Mac Miller Premieres 'Avian' Music Video

Mac Miller has debuted the music video for his track entitled "Avian". Directed by Rex Arrow Films, the three-minute visuals centers on an elderly Buddhist, played by actor Wayne Donowho, who lip-syncs the song.

While he pretends to rap lines that include "I might know some dyke hoes who can fight though," the old man can be seen wandering through a purple forest, sitting around some purple-clad young ladies and meditating in front of a pool. Miller doesn't make an actual appearance in the clip.

Motion Picture Sound Editors have handed out the awards to the best in sound editing. Among TV and movie works recognized during the 61st annual Golden Reel Awards included "Breaking Bad" and "Gravity".

The AMC series won Sound Effects and Foley for its series finale "Felina". The sci-fi movie, which dominated the recently announced BAFTA Awards with 6 wins, took home the MPSE Golden Reel Award for Best Sound Effects and Foley.

Carrie Fisher Denies Buying Drugs at an L.A. Apartment

Actress Carrie Fisher, who is popular for her role as Princess Leia in "Star Wars", has denied an allegation that she bought drugs at an apartment in L.A. New York Post reported that the star made repeated visits to "a downtrodden Hollywood apartment" and behaved bizarrely afterward.

According to the report, the star met someone in her car. Meeting for only about 30 seconds at each visit, Fisher who has struggled with substance abuse went straight home. She reportedly was "acting erratically" at one point, bobbing her head up and down, clenching her fists or wiping her nose in frantic manner.

I guess I should drop the news that he is scoring 'Ant-Man'."

Price, who is also tapped to provide music for David Ayer's war film "Fury", is currently vying for an Oscar at the upcoming 86th annual Academy Awards. The composer also received a Golden Globe nomination. His other scoring credits include "Attack the Block" and "The World's End".

'Back to the Future' Power-Lace Sneakers Coming in 2015

New "Back to the Future"-inspired shoes are announced by Nike. The new model is confirmed to have automatic shoe-laces as seen in the Michael J. Fox classic movie. "Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say YES!" designer Tinker Hatfield said to Sole Collector.

Back in 2011, Nike released shoes dubbed Nike MAGs which was similar to the sneakers worn by Fox's Marty McFly but they were without self-lacing feature. Only limited 1,500 pairs were available. The proceeds were donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Historical movie "Unbroken" directed by Angelina Jolie has got the first trailer. It gives a sneak peek at the life of Louis Zamperini from a trouble-making kid to becoming an Olympic champion and then a World War II hero. The real-life Olympian, now 97, also appears on the video.

Based on Laura Hillenbrand's 2010 best-selling book "Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption", the movie follows Zamperini during the time he became a prisoner of war. He was taken hostage by the Japanese after his plane crashed. He survived 47 days of enduring hunger and shark attacks, only to wash ashore behind the enemy lines.

Rihanna is being sued by a photographer over the music video for her single "S&M". Daily Mail reports that Philipp Paulus, a 22-year-old photographer from Germany, claims some scenes in the pop star's clip are based on his fashion photography series "Paperworld".

Paulus' work features a red-gown clad woman being pressed up against a wall with transparent plastic marked with black Xs. That's similar to Rihanna's video, which sees the "Umbrella" singer standing in front of a blue wall while being wrapped with plastic.

'Lego Movie' Stays Atop Box Office, Blocks 'About Last Night' and 'RoboCop'

"The Lego Movie" remains No. 1, ruling domestic box office for two consecutive weeks over Valentine's Day weekend. The Warner Bros. animated flick, voiced by Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum, Will Ferrell and more, blocks Screen Gems' rom-com "About Last Night" and MGM & Sony's reboot "RoboCop".

The movie adds an estimated $48.8 million for three-day gross and is expected to finish with $60 million for a four-day total that ends Monday.
