Ben Affleck's Busy Schedule Brings FOX Pilot 'The Middle Man' to a Halt

Ben Affleck isn't going to make his TV directing debut anytime soon. The Academy Award- and Golden Globe-winning screenwriter has pulled out from the directing duty for FOX's pilot "The Middle Man".

According to Deadline, the 41-year-old actor/director bailed out due to a scheduling conflict with Warner Bros.' "Man of Steel 2", in which he's going to play Batman. He reportedly also has other film commitments in the spring, when "The Middle Man" pilot is scheduled to shoot.

Hugh Jackman Officially Joins Warner Bros.' 'Pan' as Blackbeard

Hugh Jackman has officially been added to the cast of Warner Bros.' "Pan (2015)". The actor, who stars in "The Wolverine", is set to play pirate Blackbeard in the upcoming flick centering on the character created by J.M. Barrie.

"Hugh Jackman always delivers indelible performances that resonate with audiences. We know he will create a Blackbeard who will be a powerful presence in this original Peter Pan adventure," Greg Silverman, president of creative development and worldwide production at Warner Bros., said in a statement.

Regina Spektor Will Skip the Grammys Because She's 'Super Pregnant'

Regina Spektor, who is nominated for an award at the Grammys for the first time, will miss the awards show. Spektor announced in her Facebook on Thursday, January 23 that she would not be able to attend the event because she was "super pregnant."

"I was so happy to be nominated for my first Grammy! I would have definitely gone to LA for all the fun, in a party dress and with bells on, if I wasn't so super pregnant at the moment. (!!!!!!!!!!)," she wrote. "Jack and I are very excited to be expecting a brand new human together!!! I've been spending most of my time writing songs, dreaming up the new record, cooking soup, eating soup, and being very grateful for the people in my life- family, friends, and you..."

'The Walking Dead' New Promo Teases the Character's Psychological Damage in Season 4b

"The Walking Dead" cast and crew talk about what's coming ahead in the remainder of season 4 in a newly-released featurette. Speaking in between scenes of the show, executive producer Robert Kirman explains where the last episode left off, "Coming out of the first half of this season, seeing the prison fall, not really knowing who's where and if some of these characters even survive or not, that's really exciting."

Fellow EP Dave Alpert says the overall theme in the second half will be "get(ting) everybody back together" after the survivors were separated. EP Denise Huth adds, "A theme of the show over and over again is 'whenever you create a home, it will not last long. It will always change, and you will always suffer more loss, and what will you do?' "

E-40 has unveiled the music video for his collaboration with Chris Brown and T.I., "Episode". The four-minute visuals centers on a married couple who is cheating on each other. The couple's secret relationships are then exposed after a night out at a club.

Brown and T.I. also make appearance in the clip directed by Ben Griffin. Wearing a dark-colored suit, Breezy is seen delivering his verses while showing off some smooth dance moves alongside Earl Stevens.

Melissa Gilbert dished on dating Tom Cruise when she stopped by "Watch What Happens Live!". During the Thursday, January 23 episode, Gilbert responded to a fan who asked if she did date Cruise in the past.

The star of "The Little House on the Prairie" then confirmed that she dated Cruise when he was in the beginning of his career. "Actually, when I dated him he was Tom Mapother still. It was when he first moved to Los Angeles and I think I was 16, maybe, or 17," she said. When the show's host Andy Cohen mentioned Cher's statement saying he was one of the "best lovers she's ever had," Gilbert commented, "I did not have sex with him. We made out. But honestly there was no sex."

Adele Working on New Music With Phil Collins

Adele and Phil Collins are collaborating for new music. In an interview with Inside South Florida, Collins revealed, "I've just started to work with Adele. She contacted me to write together."

"I wasn't actually too aware [of her]. I live in a cave [but] she's achieved an incredible amount and I really love her voice and I love some of that stuff she's done," the legendary singer praised the mother of one. "So, to me, it's always an eye-opener. Educational."

Focus Features has begun the marketing campaign for "Fifty Shades of Grey" by debuting the first official image. The picture captures Jamie Dornan's kinky billionaire character Christian Grey from the back as he looks over the Seattle skyline through a window.

This image will surely tease people to see the film when extra large billboards featuring Grey debut in five locations around the country on January 25. The images will be seen in several spots in New York (Grand St. & 6th Ave), Los Angeles (Wilshire Blvd. & Gayley), Chicago (LaSalle & Hubbard), San Francisco (Mission St. & 6th), and Grey's hometown of Seattle (1st St. & Wall St.).

Kim Kardashian shared some details about her sister Khloe Kardashian during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". During the Thursday, January 23 episode, the 33-year-old star said that Khloe stopped her fertility treatment because she felt that it was not the right time to have a baby.

"For so long everyone in our family was feeling so sad for Khloe, thinking that she wasn't getting pregnant and everyone around her was. And the whole time she wasn't trying [to get pregnant]," Kim told the show's host Jimmy Kimmel. "She wasn't showing up to these doctor appointments behind our backs on purpose, and she just knew it wasn't right [to get pregnant at that time]." Khloe filed for divorce from her husband Lamar Odom in December.

ABC news anchor Elizabeth Vargas, who checked herself into rehab in late 2013 because of alcoholism, has made an appearance on TV post-rehab. In a taped interview with "Good Morning America", the news anchor talked about admitting to herself that she was an alcoholic and needed help.

"I am. I am an alcoholic. It took me a long time to admit that to myself. It took me a long time to admit it to my family, but I am," she told George Stephanopoulos during the interview, aired on Friday, January 24. "The amount of energy I expended keeping that secret and keeping this problem hidden from view was exhausting."

Sony Nabs Movie Rights to Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg's 'Lean In'

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg has sealed a movie deal with Sony Pictures. The studio has obtained rights to her book "Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead" with a goal to turn it into a film.

Sony has tapped "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" creator Nell Scovell to write a narrative story based on the themes on the nonfiction book. The book itself addresses the inequities between how women and men are treated in the workplace and in leadership positions.

Madonna and Miranda Lambert Confirmed to Perform at Grammys

Madonna has officially been added to the star-studded line-up of performers at the upcoming Grammy Awards. The "Material Girl" singer will be joined by Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, who will perform with Miranda Lambert in honors of The Everly Brothers' Phil Everly who passed away earlier this month.

Armstrong and Lambert will reportedly perform "When Will I Be Loved" during the Grammys. "It's really cool to perform this song," Lambert said as cited by Examiner. "I've been doing the Linda Ronstadt version of 'When Will I Be Loved' for a long time."

A surveillance video has captured moments when Justin Bieber allegedly was chased by the police in Miami Beach, Fla. on Tuesday, January 21. The short video which is obtained by WFOR CBS Miami shows a yellow Lamborghini passing the road and followed by other cars.

A black Cadillac Escalade is next to it and a red Ferrari follows alongside another Cadillac Escalade. A police car can be seen seconds later. According to the police, Bieber was behind the wheel of a rented yellow Lamborghini when the authorities pulled him over, while the one in the red Ferrari was fellow arrestee, his rapper friend Khalil Sharieff. The "Baby" singer was arrested for DUI, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest.

"Grace of Monaco" will get a chance to take the spotlight although its release has been delayed indefinitely by The Weinstein Company. The movie has been selected to open the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.

The biopic will have its world premiere at the festival on May 14 as an official selection and is included in the out of competition category. This year's Cannes will run from May 14-25 in France.
