Britney Spears Gives Nod to Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Miley and More

Britney Spears is praising almost everybody in the music industry, including her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake who is now happily married to actress Jessica Biel. In an interview with USA Today, the pop star also gave nods to Beyonce Knowles, Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson and Lorde.

When asked who inspired her, Spears said she "looks up to Beyonce, what she did with her (surprise release) album was genius, really brilliant." She went on acknowledging Cyrus with whom she shares Larry Rudolph as manager, saying "She's cool, she's fun to be around. You know, she's got really good energy." Cyrus was seen in a VIP box dancing to Spears' songs at her opening Las Vegas concert.

Blake Shelton Responded to Divorce Rumor With Joke

Blake Shelton took a jab on the rumor that he and wife Miranda Lambert are heading for divorce. The country superstar posted a series of tweets that laughed off the ridiculous claim made by National Enquirer.

Back in October, Enquirer reported that Shelton and Lambert were having a $40 million divorce. "If it costs 40 million dollars to get a divorce then how will we ever afford it?!!! We had that money set aside for health care!!!" he tweeted at that time. Enquirer would not back down on the report though, writing earlier this month that the divorce is now $100 million.

Lady GaGa's Ex-Boyfriend Sues Over Being Portrayed as Villain

One of Lady GaGa's ex-boyfriends is unhappy that he was portrayed as a villain in her longtime friend's book. Luc Carl, a heavy-metal drummer, has threatened to sue Brendan Jay Sullivan who wrote a book about the superstar's early career and published it under HarperCollins.

In "Rivington Was Ours", Carl is described as someone who didn't have time for GaGa, "inattentive and possessive" and more. Sullivan wrote that GaGa would dye her "thick, dark, raven-haired Italian mane" blond just to impress Carl. However, Carl was a negative influence for her, controlling who she could talk to and where she could work while he was "distracted by a small coterie of drunk girls".

Black Sabbath Not Sure About Making More Music

After making music for more than four decades, Black Sabbath finally scored their first No. 1 album on Billboard 200 with their latest LP which arrived earlier this year "13". However, they have said that they're no sure if they'll release a follow-up record.

"To me, it's been nicely rounded off now. If we did another album, it just wouldn't have the same vibe as far as I'm concerned. And with this one doing so well, the next one would have to be number one everywhere too or people would see it as a failure," said band member Geezer Butler in a new interview with Classic Rock Magazine.

Toby Keith's Restaurant Criticized for No Guns Policy

Toby Keith has sparked online buzz after a new restaurant in Woodbridge, Va. which is named after him shows a sign which reads 'NO GUNS PERMITTED' on the front door. Because of the sign, some upset gun-rights advocates took to the restaurant's Facebook to protest the no-gun policy.

"That sign on the door means that I will never try your restaurant ... It is a cultural thing among we Americans ... It is the fact that you seek to restrict a Constitutional Right that bothers the public. This is what will cost you," an angry Facebook user wrote. Another person said in a post, "I am now ashamed to say I was ever a fan of yours [T]oby. You truly are a hypocrite."

Drake Drops Studio Version of 'Trophies'

The studio version of Drake's "Trophy" has finally arrived. On Sunday, December 29, the Toronto MC dropped the long-awaited song which was originally recorded for his Platinum-certified album, "Nothing Was the Same". He decided not to include the song in the album because he felt the hook wasn't right.

Produced by Hit-Boy, the two-and-a-half minute version features Drake rapping, "Man this s*** is not a love song, This a f*** a stripper on a mink rug song, This a f*** them boys forever, hold a grudge song... N****, just because song." The full version of the track will be released later.

U2 Returns to Island Record for New Album

Irish band U2 are rejoining Island Records, the record label that discovered them in the late 1970s. Bono and his bandmates are now preparing a new album which reportedly will be released in spring 2014.

U2 left Island Record more than seven years ago because they were dissatisfied with how the new label head treated them. The band then followed their former boss Jason Iley to sister label Mercury Records.

Jim Jones' Fiancee Chrissy Lampkin Arrested After Bar Fight

Jim Jones' fiancee Chrissy Lampkin reportedly just had a run in with the law. According to TMZ, Lampkin was involved in a bar fight in New Jersey on Sunday, December 29 and was arrested as the result.

Officers at the Edgewater Police Department said that they responded to a report of the fight at around 2.30 A.M. Lampkin was taken into custody for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct while a woman who became the victim was taken to a hospital. The woman reportedly needed hospitalization and she had to receive some stitches for an area above her eye.

Fox Rumored Developing 'Fantastic Four vs. X-Men' Movie

Rumors are swirling on the internet that Fantastic Four and X-Men will be brought in together by Fox for a crossover movie. According to investor insight website The Motley Fool, the two groups of superheroes will clash against each other instead of working together side by side.

The feature film project will reportedly be based on a 1987 four-issue comic called "Fantastic Four vs. X-Men". It's unclear if the crossover plot will be used in "The Fantastic Four" reboot which is due June 19, 2015 or it will come at a later date after the "Fantastic Four" re-introduction.

Maggie Q-starring spy thriller "Nikita" made a quiet exit after four seasons on Friday night, December 27. The series finale which ended with Amanda back in the basement and Nikita happily married to Michael averaged a 0.2 rating adults 18-49 and drew 810,000 viewers.

The CW averaged a 0.2 adults rating and 747,000 viewers. CBS topped with 5.2 million viewers despite airing only repeats, and ABC followed by collecting 4.7 million viewers. Both networks posted a 1.0 rating each among adults 18-49, with a new episode of ABC's "20/20" having a 1.1 rating adults.

Former F1 Champion Michael Schumacher in Critical Condition After Ski Accident

F1 icon Michael Schumacher is in critical condition after he hit his head during a ski accident in the French Alps on Sunday, December 29. Schumacher was airlifted to a hospital in Moutiers a few minutes after the accident. Officials at the University Hospital Center of Grenoble, where he was transferred to, said in a statement that the seven-time Formula One champion was in coma when he arrived and required a brain surgery.

A spokesperson for Schumacher, Sabine Kehm, confirmed the accident in a statement. "He was taken to hospital and is receiving professional medical care. We ask for understanding that we cannot give continuous information about his health. He was wearing a helmet and was not alone. For his fall, no other person was involved," Kehm explained.

'The Pianist' Composer Wojciech Kilar Dies at 81

Polish composer Wojciech Kilar, who wrote music for "The Pianist" and "Dracula" among others, has passed away. The head of the Association of Polish Composers Jerzy Kornowicz told The Associated Press that Kilar died on Sunday, December 29 in his hometown of Katowice, southern Poland after a long illness. He was 81.

"The power and the message of his music, as well as the noble character of Wojciech Kilar as a person, will stay in my memory forever," Kornowicz said in a statement. Polish film director Kazimierz Kutz additionally said that working with Kilar "was pure pleasure. He would come, see my movie and a month later he would bring extremely good music that was always beyond my expectations."

"The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" stays strong at North American box office over the busy holiday weekend. At least five new releases rolled out in theaters this weekend, but none could shake off the sequel to 2012's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey".

The second installment of the "Hobbit" film stays strong at No. 1 for three consecutive weekends with $29.9 million, bringing its domestic total to $190.3 million. It rakes in another $98.3 million overseas, pushing its foreign gross to $423.8 million and its global haul to $614.1 million.

Real 'Wolf of Wall Street' to Star in Reality TV

The real "The Wolf of Wall Street" could be a reality TV star. Jordan Belfort, who inspired the movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, has been approached by Electus CEO Chris Grant to star in an uplifting show that sees him helping others who have hit rock bottom.

Grant has taken special interest on Belfort and branded him "TV Gold", THR reported. Grant, who is running the studio behind such series as "Fashion Star" and "Mob Wives", was keen on meeting the hard-partying financial swindler after reading his 2007 memoir, "The Wolf of Wall Street". In the book, Belfort described how he scammed investors out of $110 million throughout the 1990s and led a hard-partying lifestyle including serious drug takings.
