Michael Jackson's Doctor Conrad Murray Released From Prison

Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter which caused the death of Michael Jackson, has been released from prison. According to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Mark Pope, Murray left the prison at 12:01 A.M. local time on Monday, October 28.

Murray administered Propofol to Jackson as sleeping aid in 2009. Following the King of Pop's death, Murray was sentenced to four-year term in 2011. He was released two years less of the sentence due to good behavior and he was credited with time he had spent in prison prior to his trial.

Kelly Clarkson Debuts Fun 'Underneath the Tree' Lyric Video

Kelly Clarkson has debuted the lyric video for her Christmas song, "Underneath the Tree". The four-minute clip is fun to watch. The lyrics for the song appear over the cheerful and bright-colored animations of several objects, such as animals and trees.

"You're here, where you should be/ Snow is falling as the carolers sing/ It just wasn't the same/ Alone on Christmas day," the "American Idol" alum sings. "Presents, what a beautiful sight/ Don't mean a thing if you ain't holding me tight/ You're all that I need/ Underneath the tree."

Ciara and Future Get Engaged

R'n'B songstress Ciara and her rapper boyfriend Future got engaged over the weekend, just as CiCi celebrated her 28th birthday on Friday, October 25 in New York. According to their publicist Chris Chambers, Future surprised Ciara with a 15-carat diamond ring, proposing to her girl after a year of dating, a relationship which Future publicly announced earlier this year in January. The wedding date is yet to be set.

"Today Has 2 Be Like One Of The Sweetest Days Of My Life! #TheBestBirthdayEver," Ciara tweeted on Sunday. Just minutes later, she followed it up with the message, "If I'm Dreaming I Don't Want To Wake Up..Aaaaaahhh!!!:)," clearly still on cloud nine over her engagement to her 29-year-old beau.

Kelly Osbourne, who celebrated her 29th birthday on Sunday, October 27, reacted coldly after Lady GaGa presented her mother Sharon Osbourne with a birthday cake which had "Happy birthday Kelly" message written on it. The "Applause" singer gave Sharon the cake as she appeared on U.K.'s "The X Factor" where Sharon was a judge.

"Blown away by Lady Gaga's performance and graciousness," Sharon wrote on Twitter. Her daughter, however, apparently did not feel the same. "Not to be ungrateful but why would you send me a birthday cake via my MOTHER in a country half the would away? #JustSendItToME #LoveNotWar," Kelly tweeted.

Brad Pitt's Plan B Feuding With Paramount Over '12 Years a Slave'

Hollywood megastar Brad Pitt has a long-standing professional relationship with major studio Paramount Pictures, with their most recent venture being his zombie horror film "World War Z". But, according to The Hollywood Reporter, this relationship now stands to get its first blow, a disagreement over the historical drama "12 Years a Slave", the Oscar award contender produced by Pitt.

Paramount executives believe that Pitt's production company, Plan B, breached a deal by failing to offer Paramount the first option to finance and distribute the Steve McQueen-directed film. The Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael Fassbender starrer is co-financed by New Regency and distributed via Fox Searchlight, from a concept first discussed by Pitt with McQueen that he eventually co-wrote with writer John Ridley.

Another Monday means another new song from Justin Bieber. The 19-year-old singer, who is currently in the fourth week of his 10-week "Music Mondays" series, has just dropped a new track called "Recovery".

"It's here. One of the most important songs to me I've ever written. #Recovery," the "Baby" singer tweeted on Sunday, October 27. "Hope it helps you!" The Canadian artist also shared the link to the song.

Director Kevin Tancharoen Drops Out of 'Mortal Kombat' Movie

"Mortal Kombat" movie has just lost its director. Kevin Tancharoen who was initially hired to helm the project announced his departure on Twitter over the weekend. "After 3 years of Kombat, I've decided to move on to other creative opportunities. I wish everyone involved in the movie big success," he wrote.

The first "Mortal Kombat" movie, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, was released in 1995 and raked in $122 million worldwide. Its sequel "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation", directed by John R. Leonetti, came out in 1997 and grossed an estimated $51.3 million worldwide.

'Sons of Anarchy' Star Maggie Siff Expecting First Child

Maggie Siff, who plays Tara Knowles on "Sons of Anarchy", is expecting her first child with her husband. Siff shared the news to Us Weekly as she attended the Evening With 'Sons of Anarchy' event at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood, Calif., on Friday, October 25.

"I haven't really announced [it] yet," she said. "I'm past the nausea so I'm feeling a lot better, a lot more energetic. We just finished shooting the season, which is good," she explained her condition. The actress, who played Rachel Menken on "Mad Men", made a change to her Twitter bio, calling herself a "future mom."

David Beckham Crashes His Car Just Outside His Beverly Hills Home

English footballer David Beckham got involved in a minor car crash on Friday, October 25, hitting an oncoming car as he drove his black Range Rover Sport out of the driveway of his Beverly Hills home. With him in the car was his 14-year-old son Brooklyn, who was seated on the front passenger side when the accident happened around 2:30 P.M.

The collision left Beckham's $75,000 SUV with a hanging front bumper and the unidentified woman's white Acura 4x4 with a damaged front mudguard, but fortunately, no one among those involved in the fender-bender was injured. Those who witnessed the crash said the former Ligue 1 player reversed back into his driveway as he waited for the cops to arrive at the scene.

Marcia Wallace of 'The Simpsons' Dies at Age 70

Emmy Award-winning actress Marcia Wallace, best known for being the voice of Edna Krabappel on "The Simpsons" and the wise-cracking secretary Carol Kester on the 1970s sitcom "The Bob Newhart Show", passed away on Friday, October 25 at the age of 70. She died from pneumonia, deemed to be a complication of breast cancer which she was first diagnosed with back in 1985.

"She was a long and proud survivor and advocate for women and healing," said her friend Cathryn Michon. "She was beloved by all at 'The Simpsons'...," said the show's producer Al Jean in a statement. He "was tremendously saddened" when he learned about "the passing of the brilliant and gracious" actress.

Chris Brown Arrested for Assault Following an Altercation

Chris Brown was arrested and charged with felony assault in Washington D.C. on Sunday, October 27 after he allegedly was involved in a feud with a man outside W hotel. A spokesperson for the police said that the incident took place at around 4:30 A.M. Brown allegedly got into an argument with the man and punched him in the face. Brown's bodyguard was also arrested following the incident.

The alleged victim told TMZ that at that time he and a friend saw Brown taking a picture with two women on sidewalk and he decided to jump into the photo. Brown reportedly got angry and said, "I'm not down with that gay s**t," and "I feel like boxing," before hitting him in the face, breaking his nose. The alleged victim received treatment in a hospital and was released in the afternoon.

Lou Reed Dies at 71, Bandmate and Fellow Celebrities React

Music world is mourning the loss of one of its most influential musicians, Lou Reed. The former Velvet Underground star passed away from liver disease Sunday, October 27 at his home in Southampton, N.Y., on Long Island. He was 71. He is survived by his wife, composer and performance artist Laurie Anderson.

Reed underwent liver transplant earlier this year and was being treated again until a few days ago. "We did everything we could," said Dr. Charles Miller of the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, where the rocker was treated. "He died peacefully, with his loved ones around him," the doctor added.
