Nirvana and Kiss Nominated for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction

For the first time since they debuted in 1987 and then disbanded in 1994 following frontman Kurt Cobain's death, Nirvana is deemed eligible for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. The alternative rock band is nominated as honoree for the Class of 2014.

Also in the running for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honor are returning hopefuls Kiss, Chic, Deep Purple, The Meters, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and gangster rap pioneers N.W.A.. This year, meanwhile, marks the first time rapper LL Cool J, Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oates, the Replacements, Linda Ronstadt, Link Wray, Cat Stevens, Yes and the Zombies being included in the nominations.

Avril Lavigne Unveils 'Let Me Go' Music Video Ft. Chad Kroeger

Avril Lavigne has released the music video for her collaboration with husband Chad Kroeger, "Let Me Go". The five-minute gothic clip opens with the Canadian singer singing about her former lover while playing the piano in a huge mansion.

An old man, who at first appears to be just a lonely groundskeeper, is later seen playing his guitar in front of a mirror with Lavigne in it. It is then revealed that the old man is an aged version of Kroeger. The Chris Sims-directed video closes with Lavigne having to let go of her significant other.

'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' TV Crew Car Crashes With Paparazzo

The vehicle that carried the TV crew for "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" got involved in a road mishap with a paparazzo on Tuesday, October 15 at the San Fernando Valley on Ventura Road in Los Angeles. The accident resulted in the photographer being rushed by authorities to a local hospital after sustaining injuries from the vehicular collision.

The crew were said to be filming Kris Jenner as she went about around San Fernando Valley, having lunch at the Aroma Cafe in Encino with Kourtney Kardashian. They crashed their silver mini-van into a tailing black SUV which belonged to the Los Angeles paparazzo, causing injuries that warranted the L.A. Fire Department to rush the person to hospital.

First Look at Black Canary on 'Arrow'

How Black Canary will be brought onto television by Caity Lotz has been unveiled in new pictures from "Arrow". Series star Stephen Amell tweeted one of the photos and posted the other on his Facebook page. Both images feature him as the hooded hero with Lotz's The Canary next to him.

After the casting was announced, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TV Guide that the CW show would feature the origin story of The Canary. "Everyone knows that Laurel Lance is the Black Canary ... But how we get from A to B is the story of our show," he said.

Amma Asante's 'Belle' Releases First Trailer

Fox Searchlight has unveiled the official trailer for the forthcoming period drama "Belle", which premiered at the recent Toronto International Film Festival. Directed by British filmmaker Amma Asante, it stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as the lead character Dido Elizabeth Belle, the illegitimate mixed race daughter of Royal Navy admiral Sir John Lindsay, played by Matthew Goode.

Despite being afforded certain privileges because of her lineage, Belle realizes the harsh realities of being a bi-racial woman living in 18th century England after being raised by her aristocrat great-uncle Lord Mansfield as portrayed by Tom Wilkinson and his wife, played by Emily Watson. This is made evident even in finding romantic love, wherein she sees her cousin Elizabeth (Sarah Gadon) chasing after suitors for marriage while she is left wondering if she can ever hope to have the same.

An unofficial music video for Justin Bieber's latest single, "All That Matters", has unexpectedly hit the web. The new clip appears to be filmed during the 19-year-old Canadian popstar's recent visit to the Great Wall of China.

In the video, Bieber is seen accompanied by his bodyguards, the same persons who made headlines for carrying the singer on their shoulders when hitting the historical landmark earlier this month. Bieber also dances around the iconic building and interacts with fellow tourists.

Gwyneth Paltrow Takedown Article by Vanity Fair Pushing Through

It's on...this is likely what Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter had in mind when he revealed that their publication would be running an article about actress Gwyneth Paltrow in what was expected to be a takedown on the Academy Award-winner. Prompting them to do the story is apparently an email sent by the Hollywood A-lister to her celebrity friends asking them not to cooperate should they be contacted by the popular magazine to ask about her.

"We started a story on her. We have a very good writer and it'll run," said Carter, referring to Vanessa Grigoriardis, who previously worked on Vanity Fair articles on pop superstar Justin Timberlake, comedian Tig Notaro and producer Megan Ellison. "Well, she sort of forced my hand," he added.

David Oyelowo and Kate Mara have been signed on to star in true-story thriller called "Captive (2014)". He will play criminal Brian Nichols who notoriously escaped from custody while on trial for rape, while she is set to portray the woman he took hostage while on the run.

The movie is based on the real-life events happening in Atlanta on March 11, 2005. It tells the story of Nichols who was infamously known for his killing spree in the Fulton County courthouse. He shot dead the judge assigned to his case, a court reporter, a sheriff's deputy, and an FBI agent.

The full winner list of 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards has been revealed. Kendrick Lamar, who competed in 14 categories, was the biggest winner with five awards that include Album of the Year for his newest album "good kid, m.A.A.d city".

The Compton rapper then took home Sweet 16 and Best Collabo awards for "F**kin' Problems", his collaboration with A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz and Drake. At the annual event, Lamar was also named Lyricist of the Year and MVP of the Year.

Eleanor Catton Wins 2013 Man Booker Prize for 'The Luminaries'

On Tuesday, October 15, at the age of 28, New Zealand author Eleanor Catton became the youngest ever winner of the £50,000 Man Booker Prize. Receiving her award at London's Guildhall, Catton won for her 832-page book on 19th century goldfields, "The Luminaries", the longest novel to win in the 45-year history of the annual contemporary fiction awards.

"It's a dazzling work. It's a luminous work. It is vast without being sprawling," said the chairman of the judging panel, Robert Macfarlane about the book that its author described as "a publisher's nightmare." The award was presented to Catton by the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Rosemary Mountbatten-Windsor and was announced live via the BBC News Channel.

Spidey could face off more than one baddie in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". The Daily Bugle, a fictional New York City newspaper in the Marvel Universe, posted on its Tumblr run by Sony Pictures a news story that seems to give hints about Spider-Slayers and The Vulture being secret villains.

The fake news report gives updates on the Spidey world after the events that happened in "The Amazing Spider-Man". The tabloid mentions Spencer Smythe, a scientist known for creating the robotic Slayers, and teases the development of a certain utility strongly associated with the Vulture.
