The Lumineers Debuts 'Submarines' Music Video

The Lumineers has just unveiled the music video for their latest single, "Submarines". Directed by the band members' longtime friend, Nicholas Sutton Bell, the three-minute video is inspired by the video game "Limbo".

"We've been working with Nick for a while now and love his style and aesthetic on static images," lead singer and guitarist Wesley Schultz said of the video. "We were excited to see what he could do on a full length animated video and we just love it."

Despite what Bryan Cranston called a "very satisfying" ending for his character on "Breaking Bad", at least one person found the series finale "ridiculous." Notable filmmaker Oliver Stone expressed this while promoting his Showtime docu series "The Untold History of the United States".

"There's too much violence in our movies - and it's all unreal to me," he unleashed his frustration that filmmaking had lost respect for the kind of escapism it provides audiences. He used final scenes on the last episode of the AMC critically-acclaimed series as an example.

Director Steven Spielberg's son and daughter are two new additions to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label. Theo Spielberg and Sasha Spielberg, who are the members of duo Wardell, are joining the likes of Rihanna, Kylie Minogue and Shakira.

While 23-year-old Sasha serves as the vocalist for Wardell, 25-year-old Theo provides all the instrumentals that include guitar, drums, and piano. They released their first EP "Brother/Sister" via National Anthem on June 3.

Julianne Hough and Mark Ballas Take Swipes at Each Other on 'DWTS'

Since leaving the dance competition show after season eight to pursue her acting and singing career, "Dancing with the Stars" two-time champion Julianne Hough appeared as a guest judge on Monday night, October 7, filling-in for head judge Len Goodman. And indeed, as she herself said on Twitter the week before, the "angel with devil horns" was back.

As she commented on the foxtrot number by celebrity contestant Christina Milian and her pro ballroom dancer partner Mark Ballas, Hough told Milian, "I really wanted to see you shine. I danced with Mark. You have to stand in front to make sure you're seen." The hip-hop/R'n'B artist took it in stride, saying that while Hough "put a little sting on me," it was okay "as long as we did a fantastic job."

The "Umbrella" singer, who performed three shows in Auckland, New Zealand as a part of Diamonds World Tour, took to Instagram on October 8 to share a photo of her which was apparently taken from outside an Auckland hotel room.

"I hate these n****z more than the Nazi," she wrote. The caption is a quote from Kanye West's 2007 song "Flashing Lights". The photo, which was taken by photographer Simon Runting, shows her standing in her room with a white blanket wrapped around her body.

Johnny Carson's Second Wife Denies Alleged Affair With Frank Gifford

In a new tell-all book, Henry Bushkin, a lawyer who worked with beloved TV talk show host Johnny Carson, suggested that the comedian's second wife Joanne Copeland cheated on him with then-football player and also very much married Frank Gifford. Bushkin claimed that he helped Carson break into Copeland's secret Manhattan apartment over suspicions that she was having an affair, later seeing the place filled with pictures of the Giants star player.

However, Copeland, who was married to Carson from the years 1963 to 1972, denied the allegations, saying Bushkin's story was completely false. "He (Bushkin) should release it under fiction," recommended the now 81-year-old Copeland. She said, "I do know that Johnny was jealous of him (Gifford) because he knew that he had been a friend of mine."

The Pogues' Guitarist Phil Chevron Dies From Cancer at Age 56

Phil Chevron, guitarist of Celtic punk band The Pogues, passed away peacefully in Dublin on Tuesday, October 8 at the age of 56 after a long battle with esophageal cancer. After an initial treatment in 2007 that cleared him of cancer by April 2012, a new tumor emerged by August to which treatment had been "seriously ill-advised" since it "would almost certainly cause stroke or worse."

"He was unique. We'll miss him terribly. Dublin town, and the world, just got smaller," the band said in a statement posted on their website. Chevron, who joined The Pogues in 1984, also proved himself as a songwriter when he penned some of the group's hits which included the songs "Thousands Are Sailing" and "Lorelei".

The film will depict the 1983 kidnapping of Dutch beer mogul Freddy Heineken and his driver Ab Doderer. The grandson of the Heineken brewery founder and his chauffeur were released after a ransom of 35 million Dutch guilders, $50 million now, was paid. It was the largest ransom ever paid back then.
