Charlize Theron Is 'Fine' After Secretly Undergoing Neck Surgery

Charlize Theron is recovering after secretly undergoing a surgery for an injury she got on filming set several years ago. According to multiple sources, the 38-year-old star had a spine injury when filming her 2005 action movie, "Aeon Flux".

"She's fine. It was no big deal and a very minor procedure," a source said. Another source explained that the "Snow White and the Huntsman" actress finally decided to have the corrective operation after the pain got worse, saying, "It's been bothering her a lot lately so she had surgery to correct it and they had to go through her neck."

Disney XD's 'Star Wars Rebels' Unleashes First Teaser

It's still a year away from "Star Wars Rebels" debut, but a taste of the new animated series has been provided in a form of a teaser. Released on Disney XD on Monday night, October 7, the short promo gives a look at ship sailing over the galaxy while a narrator says, "To battle the empire, a rebel alliance will form, the Jedi will rise and you will know the power of ... The Force."

"Star Wars Rebels" takes place between the events of "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" and "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope". It is set in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.

The 20-year-old songstress said it's simply untrue and just a publicity stunt on the part of the YouTube comedian.

"You said to me if I didn't come back to you, you'd make me look bad to the entire world... I'm no longer afraid of you or your lies anymore," tweeted Grande. "I'm going to be the lady my mother raised and carry myself with class and dignity... But I will never be any man's press opportunity," wrote the "Baby I" singer.

Kanye West Ordered to Stay Away From Paparazzo After LAX Scuffle

A judge ordered Kanye West to stay away from a paparazzo who was involved in a scuffle with him at LAX back in July. In a court session on Monday, October 7, the judge also advised the paparazzo, Daniel Ramos, to keep his distance from the rapper.

Blair Berk, who appeared on the court on behalf of West, requested that materials related to the criminal battery case to be handed to her. TMZ reported that the judge granted her request, telling prosecutors to share the materials. In the court meeting, the judge dismissed prosecutors' request that West would be required to attend anger management classes.

Nielsen Launches Twitter Measurement Feature for TV Shows

As Twitter has become one of the platforms to promote TV programs and for audience to discuss their favorite shows, Nielsen Media Research has introduced a new Twitter TV Ratings. The feature will measure TV shows-related tweets to capture the phenomenon known as social TV.

The product will measure the number of people tweeting about TV programs as well as how many Twitter users are viewing those messages. The company notes that Twitter users viewing tweets about a TV show are about 50 times larger than those writing tweets about the same topic.

Lauryn Hill to Postpone Home Detention to Go on Tour

Lauryn Hill was expected to begin her three-month home detention on Friday, October 4. However, the singer has been granted permission to postpone her detention sentence to go on tour.

According to TMZ, Hill's tour will kick off on November 15 and finish on December 31. The former member of The Fugees will still be monitored as she will have to run the dates and locations of each venues and hotel past her probation officer.

As three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Dario Franchitti recovers from the frightening crash he suffered over the weekend during the last lap of the Houston Grand Prix, he has his wife Ashley Judd among those wishing for his speedy recovery. The actress rushed to his side at the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where he was operated on to repair his fractured right ankle.

"Thank you for the prayers for @dariofranchitti I have only clothes on my back & the dogs but that's all that we need & we are on our way," Judd tweeted on Sunday, October 6. The following morning, Franchitti also sent out a couple of his own tweets, saying, "Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes. They mean a lot to me," and, "I would also like to send my best to all the fans involved in the accident and hope that everyone is alright."
