First Official Look at Meryl Streep as The Witch in 'Into the Woods'

Three-time Academy Award-winner Meryl Streep is playing The Witch in the forthcoming Disney movie musical "Into the Woods". How she looks like in character is now revealed in the first official photo released from the Rob Marshall-directed film, based on the Stephen Sondheim/James Lapine Broadway production, which began filming in the U.K. this week.

In the photo, the 64-year-old actress transforms into the wicked witch with her unruly silver-gray hair, dark frock and talens-like nails, as she tries to have an evil curse that has taken her beauty be reversed. The character was portrayed by Bernadette Peters in the Broadway musical, which interweaves the plot of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales.

'The Walking Dead' Casts Alanna Masterson

Alanna Masterson has been added to the cast of "The Walking Dead". Deadline, which broke the news, reports that the 25-year-old actress' character will be recurring in the shows' upcoming season 4 and may become a regular in season 5.

Masterson's role on the AMC series is currently unknown. However, rumors suggest that she will play Tara Chalmers, a member of the Chalmers from Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga's novel "The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor". AMC hasn't denied or confirmed the news.

Alanis Morissette Sued by Former Nanny Over Unpaid Wages

A nanny, who worked for Alanis Morissette from August 2011 to March 2013, has sued the singer and her husband Mario 'Souleye' Treadway after they allegedly did not pay overtime. The nanny, Bianca Cambeiro, also claims that she was forced to work on 12-hour shift without a break.

According to a TMZ report, Cambeiro claims that she was ordered to stay in the baby's room during her shift even if the baby boy was sleeping. Cambeiro, who worked at 9 P.M. until 9 A.M. for 3 or 4 times a week, says that she was not allowed to take a break to eat. She might leave the room when one of the baby's parents was in the room or the day-shift nanny replaced her.

DC Comics' John Constantine to Get Television Treatment on NBC

Another DC Comics character is coming to the small screen. Just a day after FOX greenlit Batman prequel series "Gotham", NBC has now ordered a script for "Constantine", which is based on stories of DC Comics' anti-hero John Constantine, with penalty.

"Batman Begins" scribe David S. Goyer will pen the script along with "The Mentalist" executive producer Daniel Cerone. Both of them will also serve as executive producers. NBC will watch the pilot first before deciding whether it will move forward with the series or not.

We need to determine the facts and obviously if there's any evidence supporting the allegations," Western Australia Assistant Commissioner Nick Anticich says of the dangerous driving report, as quoted by Perth Now. "It's unacceptable behavior. It breaches the law and we will deal with every person in the same way."

Distressed actress Amanda Bynes won't be appearing in court anytime soon, according to her lawyer Gerald Shargel. The 27-year-old troubled celebrity is currently on psychiatric treatment at the UCLA Medical Center in California and would most likely be kept there until 2015.

Appearing in a New York court to settle his client's case for a bong-throwing incident earlier this year, Shargel told the judge that Bynes was not fit to stand trial for the reckless endangerment and marijuana possession charges filed against her for the next 18 months. He is working on the charges to be dropped altogether on the condition that the former Nickelodeon star commits to staying out of trouble.

'The Following' Season 2 Teasers: A New Face of Evil Will Be Revealed

FOX has released the first two teasers for "The Following" season 2 to tide fans over its January return. Making their way out via EW.com, one of the videos teases the reveal of a new face of evil with a shot of a melting Poe mask. The second promo has an image of a fiery shape of a bird and features a tagline which reads, "The next chapter will change everything."

Flame was indeed a big part in the season 1 finale of the thriller series as the antagonist, Joe Carroll, was seen being engulfed in flames after a showdown with FBI Agent Ryan Hardy. Despite the incident that could hint at the villain's deadly fate, James Purefoy who plays Carroll is confirmed to return in the second installment. The actor, however, played coy when asked about the future of his character, saying that he signed up for season 2, but "that's not a guarantee."
