'Star Wars' Actor Peter Mayhew Has Double Knee-Replacement Surgery

Peter Mayhew, who is best known for playing Chewbacca in George Lucas' "Star Wars" films, has had double knee-replacement surgery. His wife Angie said the actor underwent the procedure Monday, September 9 at a Texas hospital.

The 69-year-old British star, who was born with a condition known as gigantism, is recovering at Plaza Medical Centre in Fort Worth as of Wednesday. He also had a tendon-stretching procedure to stabilise his legs.

Katy Perry has taught his boyfriend, John Mayer, how to effectively promote an album. Mayer took to his Facebook page to share a picture of a giant truck bearing the artwork of his latest album, "Paradise Valley".

Ashley Tisdale Alleged Stalker Pleads No Contest to Felony Stalking

A man who is accused of stalking Ashley Tisdale has pled no contest to felony stalking. Nicholas Fiore, who appeared in court on Wednesday, September 11, was sentenced to one year behind bars, according to TMZ.

Nicholas, however, will not serve further jail time because the judge has given him credit for time served. Nicholas was also sentenced to one year of outpatient counseling and five years probation. He is ordered to pay $350 in fine as well.

DJ Mister Cee Leaves Hot 97 Due to Cross-Dressing Prostitute Scandal

DJ Mister Cee resigned from New York's Hot 97 after 20 years with the radio station following an audio that surfaced on the Internet on Wednesday, September 11 where he was heard soliciting sex from a prostitute. The radio personality offered $100 for unspecified sexual service to a drag queen who turned out to be popular internet personality and video-blogger Bimbo Winehouse, who posted the scandalous audio on YouTube.

For the many prostitution-related offenses he had committed in the past couple of years, the hip-hop DJ said he "tried to rise above" and "move forward from these situations" but it seemed like for every "step forward," he took "two steps back" and in the process hurt his Hot 97 family. He then said he decided to leave the station "to take time out for myself to take care of myself."

Bon Jovi Postpones Mexican and South American Concerts After Drummer Undergoes Surgery

Bon Jovi was forced to postpone several dates of their Mexican and South American concerts after drummer Tico Torres underwent an emergency appendectomy. The band had to postpone their show in Mexico City on Tuesday, September 10 after Torres checked into a Mexican hospital on the same day.

In a statement posted on their website, the band states that they will cancel their upcoming tour dates until Torres is fully recovered. "Last night Tico Torres underwent an emergency appendectomy," frontman Jon Bon Jovi wrote.

Miss Kansas Openly Displays Tattoos at Miss America Pageant

No one, before Miss Kansas Theresa Vail, had walked onstage of Miss America during the preliminary swimsuit portion to show visible tattoos on her body. Thus, on Tuesday, September 10, the 22-year-old senior at Kansas State University became the first ever crown hopeful to openly display her tattoos while competing in the pageant.

Vail had a large tattoo of the Serenity Prayer on the right side of her torso which carries the full text, "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference." On her left shoulder blade, the Army National Guard member sports the insignia of the U.S. Army Dental Corps.

Jamar Rogers, former contestant of NBC's "The Voice", is currently in critical condition. The singer, who competed in season 2 of the show, went to an L.A. hospital on September 3 following a show at EastWest Studios in Hollywood.

According to a statement posted on Rogers' website, the singer was diagnosed with lung infection. He spent a few days in the hospital, but his condition got worse on Monday, September 9.

"Frankenstein" has found a leading lady in "Downton Abbey" actress Jessica Brown Findlay. She is cast as a love interest to Daniel Radcliffe who will be playing Igor, the hunch-backed assistant to Dr. Victor Frankenstein, in the 20th Century Fox's reimagining of the horror classic.

The classic Mary Shelley tale will be filmed from Igor's point of view. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" star James McAvoy is tapped as the titular mad scientist who wants to build a human body. Findlay will play a trapeze artist who becomes close to Igor after he saved her from an accident.

The 38-year-old rap star declares, "It's a dog eat dog world," as he counts cash with the help of two groupies while in the projects. He then drops drug and alcohol references in the verses, offering an alternative to "don't drink and drive", with "just drink, don't drive" and about having "a morphine dream" and "heroine ambitions."

Nicki Minaj Sued by a Chicago Musician Over 'Starship'

An underground electronic musician has sued Nicki Minaj for copyright infringement, Chicago Tribune reports. The mysterious artist from Chicago named Clive Tanaka claimed that the former "American Idol" judge illegally used portions of his 2011 track called "Neu Chicago" in her 2012 smashing hit, "Starship".

Filed on Tuesday, September 10 in U.S. District Court in Chicago, Tanaka's lawsuit also names RedOne, the producer of the track, as well as co-writers Carl Falk, Wayne Hector, and Rami Yacoub. Tanaka alleged that the producer and writers were living in Sweden when "Neu Chicago" was featured in several TV ads in the country.

Marion 'Suge' Knight Arrested in L.A. Over Outstanding Warrant

A traffic violation committed by former hip-hop mogul Suge Knight a.k.a Marion Knight on Wednesday, September 11 in Los Angeles led to his arrest over an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The Death Row Records co-founder was pulled over around 12:30 A.M. near Beverly Hills and subsequently taken to the Los Angeles County Jail where he was held until 4 A.M. before being released on $20,000 bail.

The warrant was issued back in February after the 48-year-old Knight failed to appear in court for driving without a license, for which he was sentenced in 2011 to three years probation. A Pitch Trailer for 'Jurassic World' Hits the Web

Hours after Universal Pictures announced the official title and release date for the fourth "Jurassic Park" movie, a pitch trailer for "Jurassic World" leaks online. It sees a flying dinosaur on a beach claiming the first victim, a surfer, before soaring above the sky with another of its kind.

While it definitely builds the anticipation of the upcoming movie, producer Frank Marshall wrote on Twitter that the scene was "not a part of the movie." A YouTube user who uploaded the video also confirmed that the clip was likely related to a video game, which was eventually canceled, despite initially claiming that it was shown at Celebration Europe II as a pitch video for "Jurassic World".

Production on 'Mortal Instruments' Sequel Postponed Indefinitely

Constantin Film has delayed principal photography on "The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes", which was supposed to be a sequel of "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" adapted from Cassandra Clare's successful fantasy novels. Production was supposed to begin next week, but it's now put on a break indefinitely.

The decision was made on heels of the disappointing result of the first movie released late summer this year. Starring Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower, it only opened to $9.3 million in its debut weekend in North America and entered box office at the third place. Domestically, it reportedly raked in less than $30 million so far against budget of $60 million.
