Green Day's 'Broadway Idiot' Documentary to Rock Theaters in October

"Broadway Idiot", the documentary which sees Billy Joe Armstrong and his Green Day bandmates finding themselves involved in the Broadway adaptation of their hit album "American Idiot", is set to grace big screens starting October 11 in New York. Through a distribution partnership between FilmBuff and Abramorama, it will also extend to more screens in the U.S. and Canada and be ready on VOD a week later.

Debuted at the South by Southwest Festival earlier this year, the movie is directed by Doug Hamilton. "We are thrilled to be working with FilmBuff to bring the labor of love and dedication that is Broadway Idiot to everyone across the country in theaters and across all digital platforms. It's like bringing Billie Joe Armstrong and Broadway right to your doorstep," said Hamilton.

Eva Longoria apparently is single again. According to a TMZ report, the former "Desperate Housewives" actress has split from her boyfriend Ernesto Arguello after four months of dating. The couple's heavy workload reportedly contributed to the end of their romantic relationship.

Eva and her boyfriend were spotted in a vacation in Spain earlier this month. After the pair went back to L.A., they, however, reportedly thought that their relationship would not work as Eva spends most of her time in L.A. while Ernesto is in Miami. A conflicting report suggested that the two did not split. "They're just on hold right now," a source said.

Sir Elton John has released a new single called "Home Again" along with its accompanying music video. Directed by Brent Bonacorso, the beautiful three-and-a-half-minute video was shot in London, rural England and Iceland.

The video opens with a man leaving his current life and setting out on a journey to return to the place where he came from. Dragging his suitcase and walking through beautiful landscapes, the man becomes younger and younger as he gets closer to his destination.

Ben Stiller Turning His 'Reality Bites' Into TV Show

Ben Stiller is developing a TV show based on his 1994 movie "Reality Bites" for NBC. The 47-year-old actor/director teams up with the film's scribe Helen Childress for a TV series version of the drama-comedy movie.

Stiller is on board as executive producer, while Childress will pen the pilot script. The story is set in early 1990s and follows recent college graduate Lelaina Pierce as she struggles to make her way romantically and professionally in the recession-plagued, pre-Internet era in Houston. Her "slacker" friends with whom she shares an apartment will also be key characters.

Demi Lovato's 21st birthday on Tuesday, August 20 turned out to be "the best birthday" of her "entire life," which she spent in Kenya in Africa while on a trip to do some charity work for Toronto-based international youth organization Free the Children. Aside from a memorable celebration among the locals, she even got a most unusual gift of a farmyard goat, which was actually a traditional gift in Africa, from one of the Maasai communities where she volunteered.

"Thank you all for the birthday wishes!!! Having the best birthday ever in Africa with freethechildren!!!" the "Heart Attack" singer tweeted along with a photo of herself doing some manual labor that went towards building a new school in the area. "Absolutely incredible. I'm so in love with Kenya. I'm so sad I'm leaving....," she wrote before revealing that she had named her new pet goat "Billy".

Report: 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Official Title Revealed

Out of many possible cool names directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg can come up, a famous line from a Disneyland attraction is reportedly chosen as the official name of their next film, "Pirates of the Caribbean 5". According to a report from This Is Infamous, the new title is "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales".

Aside from the said revelation, the site's interview with the "Kon-Tiki" helmers does not reveal much information on the project, except that the script is still being worked on. Both Norwegian filmmakers will direct the the fifth installment from a screenplay provided by Jeff Nathanson, whose credits include Tom Hanks' movies "Catch Me If You Can" and "The Terminal".

2 Chainz Released From Jail After Being Arrested in Oklahoma

Georgia rapper 2 Chainz got arrested Thursday morning, August 22 when he and his 10-man entourage got involved in an almost nine-hour stand-off with Oklahoma police. They refused to get off their tour bus following a traffic stop near Interstate 40 made by authorities upon noticing that the vehicle's taillights were out. After being detained on charges of obstructing a police officer, the MC has been released from the Oklahoma City jail that same afternoon, according to latest updates on the incident.

Before he was released, the Def Jam Records label artist tweeted, "This s**t will make u go crazy, our bus gets pulled 1 a week and they always say I smell weed I need to search ur bus. S**t gets tiring." The cops, who noticed signs of drug use when they approached the tour bus, said they found drugs after conducting a search, which they initially weren't able to do since the bus driver locked them out, insisting they should get a warrant first.

Taylor Swift Fan Charged With Trespassing After Trying to Pass His Phone Number

A 55-year-old Taylor Swift fan is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, August 23, following an arrest near her house in late July. Joseph Bernatche was charged with trespassing after he tried to give Taylor his phone number by asking a guard at her Rhode Island home to pass a note he brought.

Bernatche's attorney Michael J. Robinson of Robo Law denied the accussation, saying that his client was not in Swift's property. "We deny that Mr. Bernatche was ever on Ms. Swift's property. The security guards have a job to do and I don't blame them. They do what they think they have to do. In this case, I think they were just being overly zealous, overly cautious," the attorney said, as quoted by Radar Online.

Ben Affleck Is Officially the New Batman

Christian Bale will not return as Batman. Through a press release, Warner Bros. has officially introduced Ben Affleck as the new Bruce Wayne depicter and set the Oscar-winning actor to star opposite Henry Cavill in the "Man of Steel" follow-up, which will be directed by Zack Snyder and written by David S. Goyer.

"We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics' most enduringly popular Super Heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some," Greg Silverman, president of creative development and worldwide production, says in a statement. "Divergent", Neil Burger's movie adapted from Veronica Roth's best-selling novel, finally provides fans with a first glimpse of its much-awaited teaser trailer that will make its way out at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, where stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James are set to unveil the said video on Sunday, August 25.

The video does not reveal much, but it is still interesting enough to finally see some of the starry names leaping into action. There is Woodley's Tris being told that she "is different" and her status, therefore, is called "divergent." Kate Winslet's Jeanine appears briefly and James' Four acts like Tris' guardian. "If you wanna survive," he says. "Follow me."

Lee Thompson Young Memorial Set in Paramount Pictures on Friday

Family, friends and colleagues of Lee Thompson Young are expected to pay their final respect to the recently-deceased actor this Friday, August 23 at 11 A.M. E! News reports a memorial is planned to take place at the Paramount Pictures lot where his show "Rizzoli & Isles" is filmed.

In lieu of flowers, family is asking friends and fans to make a donation to the Young Storytellers Foundation, an organization which helps expose underprivileged children to the arts.

Confirmed: Bradley Cooper and Elizabeth Olsen in Talks for Marvel Movies

Bradley Cooper and Elizabeth Olsen, as it turns out, are indeed eyeing two much-anticipated films of Marvel Studios as their next starring vehicles. The Hollywood Reporter confirms Latino Review's report on "The Hangover" actor Cooper as well as Bleeding Cool's on "Martha Marcy May Marlene" actress Olsen.

Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence's frequent collaborator ever since paired up in "Silver Linings Playbook", is in early talks to be the voice actor of Rocket Raccoon in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy". As for Olsen, the indie star has been in negotiations to leap into action as Scarlet Witch in Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron".
