'MasterChef' Finalist Josh Marks Examined for Mental Illness After Violent Arrest

"MasterChef" finalist Josh Marks was involved in a violent encounter with the police on Monday, July 29, in Chicago. His attorney Lisa Marie Butler later told TMZ that Marks was undergoing an evaluation to determine if he was mentally unstable during the event.

"We are working closely with medical professionals to determine if Josh's behavior could be related to mental health symptoms. The Josh that you are hearing about in police reports this morning is not the spirited Gentle Giant that we know," the attorney said.

Openly gay stage and screen actor Cheyenne Jackson ends his two-year marriage with physicist husband Monte Lapka after "having mutually decided to divorce," says the Broadway star's representative in a statement. The separation, said to be "an amicable parting," came about supposedly since the couple had been living "separate lives" for quite some time now. The reason for the split has not been disclosed but a source seems to point at Jackson and the changes that he's been doing in the past year as a big factor in the pair's break-up.

Mark Wahlberg who is mostly featured in the said pictures can be clearly seen carrying an unusually big sword over his shoulder. With his jacket covered in dust and blood splatter on his face, it's easy to tell that he, at that time, was engaged in an epic action scene.

Previously, an unofficial image that went viral online teased a major explosion scene taking place on two Boblo boats, the S.S. Columbia and the S.S. Ste. Clair. As revealed by the Columbia's ship keeper Sam Buchanan, Michael Bay has promised that there would be no harm to the historic boats, each of which has second smoke stack specially installed for that particular action scene.

Lindsay Lohan was ordered to attend therapy sessions by the court just hours after she was discharged from her court-ordered rehab stint in Cliffside, California. Judge James Dabney ordered the "Mean Girls" actress to continue her treatment after receiving a letter from CEO and founder of Cliffside, Richard Taite.

In a letter which was obtained by TMZ, the facility said that Lindsay had "successfully completed her court-ordered course of treatment at the center." However, the rehab facility suggested that Lindsay takes 3, 50-minute sessions a week for the next 15 months. The experts believed that a continuous treatment would be "critical" for her.

Ariel Winter's Mom Fails to Regain Custody

In her latest bid to regain custody of her actress daughter, Ariel Winter's mom Chrisoula Workman failed to convince Senior Court Judge Michael Levenas to retract his previous decision of awarding to her older daughter Shanelle Gray the temporary guardianship over the 15-year-old TV star. Workman lost custody over her younger daughter after she was alleged of physically and emotionally abusing Winter.

Levenas did not take back his March 29 order of assigning Gray as temporary guardian, saying he is yet to see any effort from Workman that she's serious about repairing her relationship with her teenage daughter. Gray, whose guardianship may be made permanent after a scheduled September 16 trial to decide the matter, has been caring for Winter since October last year.

'The Black Dahlia' Scribe Set to Write 'Avatar 2'

"Avatar 2" has found its writer. The Wrap reports that Josh Friedman, whose script was used by Steven Spielberg for his directing gig in 2005, "War of the Worlds", has been hired to pen the latest installment of the franchise. James Cameron is still the man behind the lens for the 20th Century Fox sequel.

Friedman has a history with the studio. In addition to "War of the Worlds", he wrote the screenplay for Brian De Palma's Oscar-nominated pic "The Black Dahlia" starring Josh Hartnett and Scarlett Johansson. He also has penned the pilot for "Locke & Key" and created TV series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles".

JoJo Sues Her Record Label to Get Out of Contract

Pop/R'n'B princess JoJo has finally had enough. The 22-year-old singer is suing her record label Blackground Records and imprint Da Family for blocking her from releasing a new studio album since her 2006 gold-certified "The High Road", so she could get out of a seven album contract that will take ages to complete considering she can't even get her label to release her third album with them.

JoJo is citing a New York state law that makes it illegal for minors to sign into contracts that lasts for more than seven years to break her existing contract with her record label. Based on those grounds, the artist contends that the deal should have ended back in March 2011, since she entered into their agreement back in 2004 at age 12.

Nigella Lawson Granted Quickie Divorce From Charles Saatchi

Nigella Lawson's 10-year marriage to husband Charles Saatchi has ended. District Judge Anne Aitken granted a "decree nisi" after a quickie hearing at the high court in London on Wednesday morning, July 31 that neither the celebrity chef nor the art collector attended.

Lawson and Saatchi married in September 2003. She filed for divorce citing a "continuing unreasonable behavior." The couple, who's worth an estimated $228 million, is believed to have a prenuptials agreement and have reached a private financial settlement.

Randy Travis Heads for Physical Therapy Facility Following Hospital Release

Country singer Randy Travis has been discharged from The Heart Hospital at Baylor Plano, Texas, after being treated for heart issue and stroke. According to his publicist, Travis is currently admitted to an unspecified physical therapy facility to help him recover.

"Thanks to all the fans and friends for your continued prayers and support as Randy continues on the road to recovery," Travis' fiancee Mary Davis said in a statement on Wednesday, July 31, as quoted by CNN.

Russell stopped by "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, July 31, to promote his latest directing gig, which is based on a true story of an FBI's 1980 undercover sting operation called Abscam. He assured people that they "can expect a wild world of amazing characters," as cited by NY Daily News.

With such starry names as Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner supporting the film, it's no doubt that there will indeed be many rooms for fans to see their favorite actors behave very wildly. As previewed in the trailer, some of them party hard, drink and, of course, get into trouble.

Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones are leaving "Parks and Recreation" following the 13th episode of season 6. Hours after Buzzfeed broke the news, showrunner/executive producer Mike Schur has issued a statement confirming the two stars' imminent departure.

"We've been working on their storyline (on and off) for four seasons now, and heading into this year, with the two of them contemplating parenthood, it felt like a natural time to move them into the next phase," he writes.

Justin Bieber Cleared in Paparazzo Hit-and-Run Case

Justin Bieber is off the hook in a paparazzo hit-an-run case. Prosecutors decide not to file charges against the teen singer because there was "insufficient evidence to prove that Bieber knowingly left the scene of a collision in which someone was injured."

Bieber allegedly hit a photographer with his sports car when leaving the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles on June 17. In a video from the scene, he was actually seen motioning the shutterbugs to clear out of the way but they apparently did not step aside fast enough.
