Tommy Chong Defends Daughter's Slur Against Oprah Winfrey

Comedian Tommy Chong defends his daughter Rae Dawn Chong after the actress made offensive comments about Oprah Winfrey's physical features. Speaking to TMZ, Tommy said that Rae's reference to slavery era would probably happen.

"If you think of what [Rae] said, she said back in the day Oprah would be working in the field because she's not that beautiful ... whereas if you're beautiful, you're part of the master's bedroom," he said. Tommy added, "Knowing Oprah, she would probably read [Rae's comments] and just chuckle and probably agree with Rae Dawn ... she probably would be working in the field."

Blake Lively is "100 percent" not pregnant. A representative for the 25-year-old actress has dismissed the rumor that suggests the "Gossip Girl" star is currently expecting her child with husband Ryan Reynolds. "The story is 100 percent false, Blake is not pregnant," the representative said.

The pregnancy rumor began swirling after media claimed that Lively was showing a little baby bump at the premiere of Reynolds' new movie, "Turbo". A source said, "She was rocking a little paunch, maybe the tiniest of baby bumps. It's pretty obvious Blake is expecting a baby."

"The Mindy Project" writer and co-star Ike Barinholtz has teased James Franco's guest-starring appearance on the sitcom. On Wednesday, July 24, he posted on his Twitter several photos from the show's set, giving a look at the "Oz: The Great and Powerful" actor in his portrayal of Dr. Paul Leotard.

Wearing a white coat, Franco is pictured standing next to Mindy Kaling, who dons a short wig, and co-star Chris Messina in one of the images. The other photo features Franco alongside Barinholtz himself, who wears a nurse costume. "Cool guyz," the nurse Morgan Tookers depicter wrote in the pic's caption.

The list, which included several big names including Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Rihanna, was said to be revealed by a source close to Stevie Wonder.

However, some of the listed artists have denied their involvement in such campaign. Their representatives said that the source might have discredited their clients. "I don't know where this list came from," one representative said.

Puddle of Mudd Vocalist Wes Scantlin Arrested for Vandalism

For allegedly destroying his neighbor's property with a buzz saw, Puddle of Mudd lead vocalist Wes Sanctlin has been arrested for vandalism and is now in jail in Los Angeles. The 41-year-old band member was taken in by police on the scene and was charged with felony vandalism.

Scantlin's buzz saw-wielding moment came apparently after a long-standing feud with his neighbor until the rocker could not contain it anymore and wrecked havoc on his victim's patio. He reportedly also hit the neighbor's cinder block wall with a sledgehammer, but luckily the altercation did not reach a point that would endanger the life of the neighbor, as no other charges besides vandalism had been reported.

In the story, Depp's Charlie Mortdecai is a wealthy art dealer and part-time rogue who often gets himself caught up in strange cases of crime and espionage. Now, he and his leadership-driven foundation, working with the Georgia Department of Education, will take an active role in the development of a curriculum that will help create young leaders.

According to Usher, it's possible that students are "not engaged," meaning they don't see how things they are learning in school directly impact their career goals. "If there's an opportunity to engage youth and teach them or lead them to what they want to do with their lives, to become future leaders or entrepreneurs, then we're making a connection and we're doing exactly what the purpose of the new look foundation is," said Usher, who established New Look in 1999.

Actor Dennis Farina, who passed away on Monday, July 22, because of blood clot in his lung, suffered from recurrence cancer before his death. His cardiologist Dr. Marc A. Kates said that the actor was diagnosed with the disease 13 years ago.

"Over the last several months, he unfortunately experienced a recurrence of the cancer which was being treated. Despite treatment, over the weekend, a blood clot developed in Mr. Farina's lung which unexpectedly and suddenly took his life," the doctor said, as quoted by Reuters.

Tatum will serve as a co-producer along with Reid Carolin, Gregory Jacobs, Nick Wechsler and Steven Soderbergh, who served behind the lens for the film. Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, the duo behind the Tony Award-winning "Next to Normal", are tapped to write the songs, while Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa of "Spider Man: Turn Off The Dark" will write the book.

Jason Sudeikis is officially quitting "Saturday Night Live". After ten years on the NBC variety show, the actor/comedian confirmed during his appearance on "Late Show with David Letterman" that he's not coming back next fall.

"I'm definitely done," he told David Letterman when asked how long he would stay on "SNL". "I'm gonna leave. Yeah, I'm not coming back next fall." Calling his stint on the sketch show "fantastic" and "amazing," Sudeikis admitted that by August, "you start to get that itch."

Prince William and Kate Middleton Name Baby Son George Alexander Louis

Two-day-old Prince of Cambridge finally has a name. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton announce in a statement that they have chosen a name for their baby son, George Alexander Louis.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son George Alexander Louis," the Kensington Palace states. "The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge."
