Paramore Reveals North American Tour Dates

Paramore has announced that they will embark on a string of tour dates this fall. Canadian indie-rockers Metric and Californian pop band Hellogoodbye are going to support the Tennessee rockers' "The Self-Titled Tour", which is set to kick off on October 15 at Seattle's Key Arena.

The 26-date tour will include their set at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans on November 2-3. The Hayley Williams-fronted band will also have their first headlining performance at New York's Madison Square Garden on November 13.

Kris Humphries Scores Role on 'The Mindy Project'

Kris Humphries has signed up for "The Mindy Project". TV Guide learns that the 28-year-old NBA star has landed a guest-starring role on the FOX sitcom, playing himself in an upcoming episode of the show's sophomore season.

Humphries joins James Franco and Adam Pally ("Happy Endings"), who have been previously announced to guest star on the Mindy Kaling starrer. It will mark his first scripted series gig after previously appearing on reality series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" with her then wife Kim Kardashian.

R. Kelly wrapped up Pitchfork Music Festival at Chicago's Union Park on Sunday, July 21. Kelly opened his 90-minute set with a choir for "Ignition (Remix)". He went on to perform some of his hits, which included a capella rendition of "Sex in the Kitchen".

The 46-year-old singer also performed his other hits like "Bump n' Grind", "Hotel", "Thoia Thoing", "Fiesta" and "Happy People". "I didn't realize I had so many songs!" he told his fans during a break. "Every time I do a song, it brings back old memories from my own life."

Chris Benoit Movie in the Works With 'Good' Director

A Chris Benoit biopic is under development at SRG Films and has just found its director. Deadline, which broke the news first, reports that Brazilian filmmaker Vicente Amorim has been hired to direct "Crossface" for the studio. The pic itself is adapted from Matthew Randazzo V's "Ring of Hell: The Story of Chris Benoit and The Fall of the Pro Wrestling Industry".

"Wrestling is showbiz taken to the extreme and 'Crossface' is Limelight on steroids," said Amorim to the site. "Chris Benoit's story is the perfect vehicle for a fiercely honest film that is as much about him and the world of wrestling as it is about America and show business. I am very happy to be on board to help tell this story."

Jenelle Evans Is Recovering After Emergency Surgery

Jenelle Evans was admitted to a North Carolina hospital on Monday, July 22 following abdominal pain and underwent an emergency surgery to remove her appendix. The "Teen Mom 2" star's boyfriend Nathan Griffith told Radar Online that the 21-year-old TV personality had been experiencing the pain for a while.

"She's been in pain for about a month and I suggested before that it could be her appendix. So I dropped her at the hospital before work. I told her to call me if you go into surgery so I could be there for her," Griffith said. Evans is currently recovering at the hospital. She is expected to be discharged on Tuesday.

During "Riddick" Comic-Con panel last week, the buffed action star revealed that there would be "some very big news coming at the end of this month." It turns out that he dropped some other information related to his potential involvement in Marvel universe off the Comic-Con stage.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Diesel gave another hint at what kind of project he would take part in. "Marvel was excited about bring a different kind of relationship, a different kind of love story," the 46-year-old hunk said. "I guess kind of inspired from the Dom-Letty [couple in 'Fast and Furious' franchise] relationship, into the Marvel universe."

Mike Myers to Make Directorial Debut With 'Supermensch'

Mike Myers is set to make his first movie for A&E IndieFilms. The 50-year-old Canadian actor, best known for his alter-ago Austin Powers, will serve behind the lens for "Supermensch", an upcoming documentary that chronicles the life of talent manager Shep Gordon who has managed the likes of Alice Cooper, Blondie and Raquel Welch.

"I met Shep Gordon in 1991 on the set of Wayne's World," says Myers. "I thought he was a perfect combination of Brian Epstein, Marshall McLuhan and Mr. Magoo. I've been trying to get Shep to agree to let me make a movie about him for 10 years. Last year he finally he said yes. I loved him like a brother before we started making this film, and now having sifted through his life and his legacy, I love him even more."

A large number of musicians are reportedly following Stevie Wonder's footstep in boycotting Florida over the state's controversial Stand Your Ground law. A source close to Wonder revealed the names of the A-List performers who wouldn't perform in the state after a Florida jury found George Zimmerman not guilty for fatally shooting 17-year-old unarmed Trayvon Martin.

The source told American Urban Radio Network's April Ryan that Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Usher, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Trey Songz, Young Jeezy and Wale had signed on to the boycott. According to Ryan's report, some of the artists have already canceled shows in the Sunshine State.

Timur Bekmambetov will bring a present-day warrior to the mythical land of Oz on an upcoming Syfy miniseries. The "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" director will reimagine L. Frank Baum's classic tale "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" for the new project called "Warriors of Oz".

The modern-action take on the famous story will see a warrior from present day Earth transported to a post-apocalyptic future Oz, Deadline reports. There, he must team up with three other warriors, Heartless, Brainless, and Coward, in order to defeat the evil Wizard who has enslaved the land.

The singer would earn more if she had not scrapped the remaining gigs on "Born This Way Ball" tour because of hip injury. Forbes noted that the tour grossed $168 million through January. Her new album "ARTPOP" is coming out in November and she will cash in more following the album's release.

According to the report, the rock band who has script and director approval wants the film to be a PG one. As of this writing, he has collected $28,555.

"The only way to ensure as an independent filmmaker that your vision is on the screen is when you bring the money to the table," says Lee in the video, explaining why such an established director like him needs to crowdsource for his next movie. 'Law and Order' Actor Dennis Farina Dies at 69

Dennis Farina, a former real-life cop who landed a role as detective on NBC's "Law & Order", has passed away. His publicist, Lori De Waal, says the actor died Monday morning, July 22 in a Scottsdale, Arizona hospital after suffering a blood clot in his lung. He was 69.
