Chris Brown Appeals Citation Over Home Murals, Cites the 1st Amendment

June 20, 2013 08:02:07 GMT

The appeal, filed by Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos, fires back at neighbors who complained about the scary monsters graffiti that line up the walls of the singer's Rinconia Drive house. It basically states that the murals are works of art on his personal property and therefore, do not deserve the citation.

Paris Jackson Deposition Video Airs During Michael Jackson Death Trial

June 20, 2013 04:57:16 GMT

A deposition video recorded on March 21 of Paris Jackson was aired last Tuesday, June 18 in her father, the late Michael Jackson's wrongful death trial in Los Angeles. In contrast to recent photos of the 15-year-old celebrity daughter around the time of her failed suicide attempt, a healthy-looking Paris testified in two days of questioning done 3 months ago, as seen in the clip where she was shown speaking about their former nanny Grace Rwaramba.

The video was played by the lawyers of concert promoter AEG Live, whom the Jackson family is suing for the untimely death of the King of Pop back in 2009, for having retained Dr. Conrad Murray, who has since been convicted of involuntary manslaughter. By airing Paris' deposition, the AEG lawyers sought to weaken the credibility of Jackson family chef Kai Chase, who had testified to Michael's physical deterioration prior to his death.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' 'Thrift Shop' Gets Scrubbed Clean on Kidz Bop Kids

June 20, 2013 03:39:27 GMT

As expected, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' chart-topping track "Thrift Shop" off album "The Heist" makes it to the latest Kidz Bop Kids album, its 24th edition which debuts next month. Like most of the other current hit songs in the compilation, it gets scrubbed clean of profanities to make it more appropriate for its target audience, the original NSFW lyrics replaced with more kid-friendly ones.

The result is quite cleverly creative and oftentimes funny and amusing, like when "f*cking awesome" was turned to "really awesome" and "walk up to the club like, 'What up? I got a big c--k!' " was substituted with "I got a hit song!" The "cold a** honkey" in the line "Ice on the fringe, it's so damn frosty / That people like, 'Damn! That's a ...' " cunningly becomes "guy on the marquee."
