Robert De Niro and Shia LaBeouf in Talks to Play Father and Son in 'Spy's Kid'

Paramount Pictures has made aggressive approaches to three names that are expected to join its upcoming project "Spy's Kid". The studio is reportedly in talks with Robert De Niro and Shia LaBeouf to offer the two actors roles of father and son. Additionally, director D. J. Caruso is in negotiations to helm the project.

Based on Bryan Denson's series of articles in the Oregonian in 2011, the series told the true story of a traitorous CIA spy named Jim Nicholson. Eight years into his sentence, Nicholson enlisted his son Nathan, who failed to make a life in the Army and fell into depression, to continue his work.

Ailing Glen Campbell Stops Touring

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Glen Campbell will soon end his touring days, citing his ongoing battle with Alzheimer's disease as his reason for quitting from live performances. The 77-year-old singer's condition is said to have progressed to the extent that it is becoming very difficult for the former The Beach Boys guitarist to continue with performing.

His 2012 tour was for all intents and purposes a glaring prelude of things to come, poignantly titled "Goodbye" but as Kim Campbell reveals about her husband, "Glen still wants to record, but it's just a matter of if he's able to." While the "Rhinestone Cowboy" singer remains active, playing golf and jamming with other musicians, Kim sadly discloses, "It just gets more and more difficult for him all the time."

Thor Takes Jane to Asgard and Asks for Loki's Help in First 'The Dark World' Trailer

The very first trailer for Marvel's upcoming film "Thor: The Dark World" has finally been debuted via Apple's iTunes. The video catches crucial moments during Thor's second solo adventure as the arrival of an unknown powerful enemy forces the Nordic superhero, played by Chris Hemsworth, to make risk-taking decisions.

Learning that his love interest Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, is in great danger, Thor descends to the Earth to come and save her. "I gave you my word. I would return," so he says to Jane, who is seen flying up to Asgard with him. Even so, fans will soon discover that her life is still under threat as Malekith the Accursed immobilizes her.

Justin Bieber is slammed again, this time by his own grandfather, George Bieber. According to The Sun, George who lives in poverty says that his wealthy grandson never tries to help his financial life and he hasn't visited his grandfather for years. "It's like we now live on different planets. He never calls us, and now I sometimes think he doesn't care," says George.

George, who is the father of Justin's biological dad, Jeremy Bieber, tells the newspaper, "I can't work due to illness, so there is barely any money coming into the house and we only just about get by. His grandma has a bad back, too, but works like a dog hauling huge bags of paint powder 40 hours a week."

Lana Del Rey Releases 'Young and Beautiful' From 'The Great Gatsby'

Lana Del Rey's name may be overshadowed by bigger celebrities in the tracklist of "The Great Gatsby" soundtrack, particularly by top diva Beyonce Knowles and even its executive producer, rap mogul Jay-Z, but the indie pop star's contribution to the compilation entitled "Young and Beautiful" is something definitely not to be dismissed. The track debuted via SoundCloud following the release of the first single "Over the Love" recorded by indie rockers Florence and the Machine.

"Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?" the 26-year-old singer asks in the song co-written by Del Rey herself with songwriter Rick Nowels. With guidance from the film's director Baz Luhrmann, the composition captures the insecurities depicted in the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic novel on which the movie is based.

Jury Is Selected for Michael Jackson Wrongful Death Trial as Conrad Murray Appeals His Conviction

A jury has been chosen for Michael Jackson wrongful death trial following a month-long selection. On Monday, April 22, six men and six women were seated to hear the $40 billion civil lawsuit filed by the late King of Pop's mother and children against concert promoter AEG Live.

Three more jurors still have to be selected to serve as alternates in the trial, which will possibly begin with opening statements later this week or next week in a Los Angeles courtroom. Judge Yvette M. Palazuelos has previously reminded that the trial could last two or three months.

On Sunday, April 21, she was spotted in Providence Tarzana Medical Center. According to Us Weekly, she felt "really sore" and "in shock" after getting involved in a car accident. The "Girls Next Door" star got examination to see if she had major injuries. She was discharged from the medical center after the examination and reportedly had a rest at home.

Pink Cancels Birmingham Concert Due to Infection

Grammy Award-winning pop artist Pink went on Twitter today to announce that she's regrettably canceling her concert tonight at the LG Arena in Birmingham. The 33-year-old pop rocker has been forced to call off her scheduled performance, which would have been the first show in the European leg of her "The Truth About Love" tour, due to an ear and respiratory infection.

"With deepest regrets I had to cancel my first show of the tour tonight in Birmingham. I have an ear and respiratory infection," the singer tweeted. "I am not a person that takes cancellations lightly- and I apologize to anyone who was inconvenienced by my illness."

Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn's 'Dodgeball' Sequel Is In the Works

A long-awaited sequel to Rawson Marshall Thurber's 2004 comedy "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" is finally confirmed to be in the works. Fox and Red Hour run by Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld have hired "Joy Ride" writer Clay Tarver to provide the script for the second film.

The Hollywood Reporter learns that Stiller and Vince Vaughn have been on board the project. Sources tell the site that the second film will have the two actors teaming up to fight an even bigger threat. It is not clear what kind of threat the gag men will encounter in the dodgeball arena.

3 Doors Down Cancels Four Tour Dates Following Bassist's Arrest

Rock band 3 Doors Down has announced on Monday the cancellation of their next four tour dates in the United States that are set to take place between the months of April and May. The decision was made following the arrest of the group's bassist, Todd Harrell, who was charged with vehicular homicide after causing a fatal interstate crash in a Nashville suburb.

The four shows, canceled out of respect for the crash victim Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr., include commitments in Bossier City, Louisiana, one in Nashville, and two music festivals, Rockville in Jacksonville, Florida, and Carolina Rebellion in Charlotte. The band will return in the U.S. in July after they resume their tour on May 31 in Moscow.

'Futurama' Canceled by Comedy Central, Offered to Other Networks

"Futurama" is canceled again. Comedy Central has decided not to renew the animated sci-fi series for a new season following ratings decline, bringing the show to the end of its seven-season and 140-episode run on September 4.

"That's a helluva run that few shows achieve, and especially given the fact that it came back to life, it's really an amazing story," says Comedy Central's EVP of Programming Dave Bernath. "I'm more thankful and feel a sense of gratitude toward the whole process - and that we found a way to keep going for 52 more episodes - than I really am even thinking about the ending. It's a blessing that it came back and lasted so long."

MTV announced on Monday, April 22, that Ke$ha would serve as a celebrity ambassador for the network's anti-bullying campaign, Love is Louder. Working together with The Jed Foundation, the campaign aims to fight bullying and to support anyone who feels mistreated, misunderstood and isolated from his or her surroundings.

In addition to the announcement, MTV released a new sneak-peek video from Ke$ha's upcoming documentary series, "Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life," in which she comforts fan who is a bullying victim. She also reveals that she understands how it feels like to be bullied since she was bullied in high school and is still bullied while building her careers.

A. J.'s co-anchor Van Tieu kept herself calm and tried to ignore the fact that her co-anchor just swore on live broadcast. She asked him to introduce himself and he began to tell viewers his background, saying he is a graduate of West Virginia University and added, "I'm used to, you know, from being from the East Coast."

Folk Singer Richie Havens and Rock Vocalist Chrissy Amphlett Pass Away

Music world lost two of its gifted musicians, Richie Havens and Chrissy Amphlett. Havens, who is most remembered for his cover of Bob Dylan's song "Just Like a Woman", passed away on Monday, April 22, at his home in New Jersey because of heart attack. The first performer at 1969's Woodstock Festival who possessed intense guitar skill was 72.

Havens' representative said in a statement, "While his family greatly appreciates that Richie's many fans are also mourning this loss, they do ask for privacy during this difficult time. A public memorial will be planned for a later date." Havens is survived by four daughters and many grandchildren.

Khloe Kardashian's "The X Factor (US)" hosting gig is short-lived. Following rumor a couple of months ago that she's fired from the show, FOX has officially announced that the wife of basketball star Lamar Odom will not return to the third season of the reality singing competition.

"Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host 'The X Factor'. We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors," a spokesperson for the show tells E! News. A source assures that Khloe and FOX are parting ways on good terms, saying, "Everyone on the show had a great relationship with her and thought she was fun to work with."
