'The Croods 2' in the Works, '21 Jump Street' Sequel Set for 2014 Release

Two commercially successful comedies will get sequel treatment. On April 17, DreamWorks stated that a sequel to "The Croods" had been in the works. In a presentation at CinemaCon on the same day, Sony Pictures proudly announced that it planned a "21 Jump Street" sequel for a 2014 release.

DreamWorks is confirmed to have Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders back to the second installment of "The Croods" film series. The duo previously served as co-directors and co-writers in the first film, which was released on March 22. Currently, the studio is still in talks with key voice stars, including Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, and Ryan Reynolds, to return the follow-up film.

Fans were predictably swarming the new attraction at the museum as they're eager to pose with their idols' wax twins. Young girls were seen kissing and caressing the cheeks of the statues, which were made with detailed precision to imitate the real stars.

Snoop Lion Releases 'Torn Apart' Featuring Rita Ora

Rapper-turned-reggae artist Snoop Lion a.k.a. Snoop Dogg has released the third single off his soon-to-be-released album "Reincarnated", and this one features Roc Nation artist Rita Ora. Entitled "Torn Apart", the track is the latest offering from the 41-year-old Snoop after he first debuted his anti-violence anthem "No Guns Allowed" featuring Drake and daughter Cori B. and the commemorative song "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks" with Miley Cyrus.

In this three-minute-and-a-half new song, Snoop and Ora also sing about heartbreaks, but this time the romantic kind. The Major Lazer-produced track features the two artists reminiscing about a past love, specifically "the one" who got away, all done on top of mid-tempo, reggae instrumentals.

He explained, "Let's just say this: We went to a movie. No one followed us there. Somehow, mysteriously, when we left, there were 30 photographers waiting outside. There are certain ways to play this game, and some people play it well." Nick suggested that she tipped photographers when they went out for a date on May 24, 2006.

Quite dark and puzzling, the video features Kaya Scodelario as sensitive teen Emanuel who seems to be attracted to her new neighbor Linda, played by Jessica Biel. Apparently, she develops interest in the single mother because of certain reason.

Emanuel is clearly intrigued with the presence of Linda as she often carefully observes what the young mother is doing from her window. It is then revealed in the trailer that she thinks that Linda looks like her dead mother. This is why the troubled girl does anything she can to be close to the woman.

Funny or Die Releases 'iSteve' Featuring Justin Long as Steve Jobs

With two other biopics of Steve Jobs in the production, Funny or Die becomes the first to release the biopic of the Apple founder on Tuesday, April 16. The video, which features Justin Long who plays the titular character Jobs, becomes the first Funny or Die video which runs for more than one hour.

The video follows Jobs' parodied journey to establish a computer company, Apple. It shows how Jobs meets Apple's co-founder, Steve Wozniak (played by Jorge Garcia), and his relationship with Melinda Gates (played by Michaela Watkins).

The funky pair of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis has unveiled the epic music video for their new single "Can't Hold Us", the latest track to be released from their 2012 gold-certified album "The Heist". Just like in every live performance of this song, the rap duo brought along R 'n' B/gospel singer Ray Dalton for the ride.

And that ride is a trek across the globe, a grand production that resulted in seven-minute long clip which was cinematically executed by directors Jason Koenig, Jon Jon Augustavo and Ryan Lewis himself. From ice-covered regions to the desert, from the high seas to the deep forests, from dog-sledding to flying private planes, Macklemore goes through it in all his trademark attention-grabbing costumes, which included a military jacket and a wolf's head parka.

Amazon Debuts First Trailer for 'Zombieland' Series

Amazon has debuted the first trailer for "Zombieland", a series adaptation of the 2009 cult comedy film of the same title. With Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, writers of the original work, involved in the series, the show still has the interesting combination of action, horror and comedy shown in the film.

Similar to the big-screen version, the online series follows a group of four survivors, Tallahassee, Wichita, Columbus and Little Rock, who are outwitting zombies and searching for a place to call home. The characters, who were made famous by Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin in the film, are played by Tyler Ross, Kirk Ward, Maiara Walsh and Izabela Vidovic.

President Obama Denies Involvement in Jay-Z and Beyonce's Cuban Trip

In an interview with Savannah Guthrie on NBC's "Today" show, President Obama said that the White House had nothing to do with Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles' trip to Cuba on their wedding anniversary. "I wasn't familiar that they were taking the trip. My understanding is I think they went through a group that organizes these educational trips down to Cuba. This is not something the White House was involved in. We've got better things to do," the president said.

Previously, two congress members sent a letter to Treasury Department to seek for official information whether the couple obtained permission to visit the country. Jay-Z reacted to the investigation by releasing a song "Open Letter" on April 11.

Shakira is entangled in a lawsuit against her former boyfriend Antonio de la Rua, after in September the man asked for $250 million compensation for contributing to her image and success. The singer is now fighting back and has asked judge to dismiss his claims.

According to New York Daily News, in a document submitted to Manhattan Supreme Court, the Colombian singer said, "I was already a well-known and recognized artist, and my international career was established and solid" in 2000, when she met de la Rua for the first time in a concert. She also slammed de la Rua's claim that he contributed to the success of her songs. He was not the singer's business partner and strategist, but "one of my numerous advisers," she said in the document.

AMC has finally revealed the midseason premiere date of the fifth and last installment of "Breaking Bad". New 'Star Wars' Films to Be Released Annually Starting in 2015

Following the acquisition of Lucasfilm, Disney gears up to aggressively expand "Star Wars" franchise. In a presentation at CinemaCon on April 17, Disney representatives announced that the studio would release a new "Star Wars" film into theaters every summer starting in 2015, alternating with an "Episode" film and a stand-alone film.

The news of the studio preparing stand-alone films was already confirmed earlier this February. "I can confirm to you today that in fact we are working on a few standalone films, Larry Kasdan and Simon Kinberg are both working on films derived from great Star Wars characters that are not part of the overall saga," Disney CEO Bob Iger said.
