Rapper Freddy E Tweets About Despair Before Committing Suicide

Overcome with depression, rising hip-hop star Freddy E went on Twitter to talk about taking his own life before shooting himself. This was the latest discovery after the 22-year-old artist was found dead inside his Seattle apartment. Kings County medical examiners have declared that the rapper died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Before committing the apparent suicide, Freddy E hinted at his imminent plan to kill himself, posting the message, "If there's a God then He's calling me back home. This barrel never felt so good next to my dome. It's cold & I'd rather die than live alone." This was followed by, "It's... all... bad... y'all. *puts finger around trigger*." He also sent farewell messages to his parents, "I love you Mom," and, "I love you Dad." Finally, he used the social networking site to say, "God... please forgive me," and, "I'm sorry."

David Bowie Releases New Single and Album After a Decade-Long Hiatus

World-renowned artist David Bowie returns to the spotlight after ten years of absence by releasing new single "Where Are We Now" on January 8. That same day, which happened to be his 66th birthday, Bowie gave his multitude of fans a surprise treat by announcing that a new album "The Next Day", his first album since 2003's "Reality", was set to be released on March 12.

Bowie shocked fans by breaking a decade-long silence by releasing his new single "Where Are We Now", written by Bowie himself, produced by longtime collaborator Tony Viscotti, and recorded in New York City. It is the first track off his upcoming album "The Next Day", Bowie's 30th studio recording, which will feature 14 tracks in its standard edition and 17 tracks in the deluxe edition.

Premiere Date and New Trailer for Syfy's Action Series 'Defiance'

Syfy made use of the TCA winter press tour to promote its upcoming show "Defiance". During its panel on Monday, January 7, the network announced that the 12-episode season of the sci-fi series would launch Monday, April 15 at 9 P.M. with a two-hour premiere.

Executive produced by Kevin Murphy ("Desperate Housewives", "Caprica") and Michael Taylor ("Battlestar Galactica"), the show introduces an exotically transformed planet Earth. It follows Grant Bowler's Jeb Nolan, who settles in a border town where aliens and humans fight against the fragility of peace.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has just added a new movie project on his list. The "Looper" actor has been sealed as the latest addition to the cast enesemble of "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For", Dimension Films confirmed on Monday, January 7.

The Los Angeles native is set to tackle a major role of Johnny. The character is described as a cocky gambler who hides a darker mission to defeat his enemy at his best game. "Johnny is a new character in the Sin City world and we are excited for what Joseph will bring to the role," said directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller.

The director-screenwriter duo addressed the criticisms when accepting Best Director and Best Picture awards during the New York Film Critics Circle Awards on Monday night, January 7.

"I thankfully want to say that I'm standing in a room of people who understand that depiction is not endorsement, and if it was, no artist could ever portray inhumane practices; no author could ever write about them; and no filmmaker could ever delve into the naughty subjects of our time," so Bigelow said, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.

Maybach Music Group founder Rick Ross has disclosed the title of his forthcoming new album via a close-to-3 minute clip that ends with the album's cover image. Entitled "Mastermind", the album will be the sixth studio set for the hip-hop superstar, following a very busy 2012 for the hot rapper, wherein he released an album, a mixtape, a label compilation and about 30 music videos.

In true Rick Ross fashion, the short trailer shows The Bawse chilling out in his lavish waterfront home with his ladylove who was browsing through vinyl classics of Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye, before stopping at Curtis Mayfield's "Super Fly", as instrumental music from Mayfield's "Give Me Your Love" is cued in. It seems like an advertisement for the Rozay lifestyle of babes, booze, hot tubs, exotic pets, and not to mention his expensive watches and eyewear, diamond-encrusted bling and a cash-filled briefcase.

'Snakes on a Plane' Helmer David R. Ellis Dies in South Africa

David R. Ellis, the director of the action-thriller "Snakes on a Plane", has died at the age of 60 while working on his latest project "Kite (2015)". Ellis died in Johannesburg, South Africa while filming his latest live-action movie based on the Japanese anime about a young girl trained to be an assassin after the death of her parents. A manager for Ellis confirmed the news of his death, but other information pertaining to his passing was not yet available.

Samuel L. Jackson, star of "Snakes on a Plane", tweeted his thoughts upon learning the sad news. "So sad to hear of David R. Ellis' passing! So talented, so kind, such a good friend. He'll be missed. Gone too soon!" he wrote.

Loyal viewers of "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" now have a reason to be overjoyed for their favorite shows will return with new episodes. Prospect Park has finally confirmed the long-running reports about its plans to revive the show online.

The production company says that it has signed agreements with the Screen Actors Guild, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists as well as the DGA to bring the shows back via The Online Network. It's also announced that production will kick off in February in Stamford, Conn.

Fun. debut a new track "Sight of the Sun" off the new album "Girls - Volume 1: Music", the soundtrack of the hit TV series "Girls" starring Lena Dunham. "Sight of the Sun" is featured in the 14-track standard edition and the 18-track deluxe edition of the album which is set to be released January 8, just a few days before the hit HBO series returns to TV screens on Sunday, January 13 with the second season.

Written by the band's frontman Nate Ruess, "Sight of the Sun" was intended for Fun.'s sophomore studio set "Some Nights". It didn't make the group's final tracklist and remained unreleased, but not until Dunham contacted the group. Some brush up was done by Ruess to the song's lyrics, "For once there is nothing up my sleeve/ just some scars from a life that used to trouble me. I used to run at first sight of the sun/ now I lay here waiting for you to wake up, I lay here waiting for you to wake up."

"When you have a bypass and your bowel has been reconstructed, you think you're pretty safe," he said. "I probably went off and ate something I wasn't supposed to. Black Keys to Work on New Album and Go on Tour With Flaming Lips

Blues and indie rock band The Black Keys revealed that they're set to work on their eighth studio set beginning this month as a follow-up to their latest album "El Camino" released in 2011. The rock duo of Dan Auerbach (guitar, vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums) has likewise announced that they're going on a four-date tour with the neo-psychedelic quintet of The Flaming Lips.

"We're going to start making the new album in the second week of January and we're hoping to have it done by some time in March," band frontman Auerbach declared. "Then we have a couple of weeks of touring, then we're going to take the summer off, which we haven't done for a while. The record isn't written yet, we'll do it when we get into the studio. This is when we both work best, when we're dying to make an album. All of our records take place in the studio, in that we make stuff up while we're there."

The second season kicked off with 4.2 million viewers in January 2012 and wrapped up with 5.4 million viewers in February the same year. It "became the most-watched series in Masterpiece history."

Directioners finally get to experience the video premiere of One Direction's "Kiss You". The boys have released the full length music video following a string of teasers that announced the clip's big debut on Vevo.

The three-minute clip shows the boys, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, goofing around as they drive convertibles and ride motorcycles, doing some silly choreography as they stand shirtless on surfboards, and pretending to be skiing as they wear complete skiing outfits. They also dress like Elvis Presley for their "Jailhouse Rock"-inspired skit and put on their sailor outfits as they pose for their "Anchors Aweigh"-inspired group shots.

Ryan Lochte is getting his own reality show. E! has officially announced that it orders six episodes of new unscripted series "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" starring the 2012 London Olympic Games' breakout star.

To debut April 2013 on E!, the show will follow the athlete as "he prepares for the Rio games in 2016 while building his fashion line, making buzz-worthy media appearances, dealing with his unconventional family and loyal friends and, always, searching for 'the one'." Along with the Gwen Stacy of "The Amazing Spider-Man", the "Ted" helmer would read the nominations at a 5:30 A.M.
