Timbaland Releases New Track 'The Party Anthem'

Hip-hop artist and mega record producer Timbaland has just released a new track from his free music initiative "Timbaland Thursday". Entitled "The Party Anthem", the track was first recorded in 2012 but got released only now, through his SoundCloud page and via Twitter under the #TimboGiftBag series.

Timbaland's frequent collaborator, the five-time Grammy Award-winner Missy Elliott, appears on this track, which also features fellow hip-hop artist/rapper Lil Wayne and hip-hop/R'n'B artist and record producer T-Pain. With such big names in the industry appearing on this track, it could have been the perfect carrier single for his upcoming "Shock Value III" album.

"Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes. Logan is one week old and doing great. Happy new year!" he tweeted. Along with the message, he posted the image of the adorable little boy, who wore a white shirt and lied under a blue blanket.

The show, which took place at New York City's Times Square, also saw performances from Conor Maynard, Sean Kingston, and R'n'B star Ne-Yo.

Jay-Z and Coldplay Welcome 2013 in Brooklyn Show

As Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin sang "Auld Lang Syne", Jay-Z went up the stage at close to midnight to ring in the New Year during their double-billed show in Brooklyn, New York. After exchanging hugs with Martin, Jay took over the stage from Coldplay, who had a riot of a performance with lots of color and movement, in contrast to the rapper who was alone on stage and was mostly standing throughout his performance as he spit his rhymes.

Coldplay kicked off the concert at 10 P.M. and played a 15-song set, to the delight of a packed Barclays Center. The venue lit up as fans were each given bracelets that had multi-colored lights that blinked in step. The crowd sang along with the band as they dished out their hits "The Scientist" and "Paradise", as confetti canons and world map beach balls were rolled out. Rihanna appeared in the screens put up around the arena as the band performed "Princess of China".

Paparazzo Killed While Trying to Take Pictures of Justin Bieber's Ferrari

A car accident took place while a paparazzo chased Justin Bieber's white Ferrari on Tuesday evening, January 1. The fancy car was pulled over by California Highway Patrol for a routine traffic stop on Sepulveda Blvd near the Getty Center in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.

The photographer, who was following the Biebs' car, was attempting to take pictures of the stop until officers advised the photog to move back because the situation was unsafe. The photog was then struck by another car and killed.

Jaden Smith has released a new track titled "Higher Up", which features a collaboration with rapper Kid Cudi. The new rap single contains rhymes from the young son of the Fresh Prince Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett Smith which are delivered over the instrumental track from Cudi's 2009 song. The 14-year-old Jaden presents a chilled-out R'n'B beat and some lyrics dedicated to his famous set of parents.

The track opens with a gentle piano playing along a relaxed percussion beat. Jaden's deep voice, which was very different from how his vocals sounded in his cameo for Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never", surprises at the very start of the song. ABC welcomed a new year with a victory. The network won New Year's Eve ratings, thanks to it's "New Year's Rockin' Eve" special. The program topped other new year's eve programs and encores with a total of 13.3 million viewers and a 4.1 rating in adults 18-49 demo, marking its largest audience since 2000.

The program kicked off with "New Year's Rockin' Eve Celebrates Dick Clark" at 8 P.M., which ran until 10 P.M. It averaged a 2.6 rating in the coveted demo and 9.4 million viewers. It was immediately followed by "Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest".

In an interview with The Independent, U2 frontman Bono revealed that the group's busy working on their next album which they might title "10 Reasons to Exist". 'Monsters University' Rose Bowl Spot Promotes a Unique College

"Monsters University" unleashes a new TV spot during the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day. Instead of highlighting Sulley and Mike's story, the promo video sees the titular university and the study environment there. "Your future is knocking. The prequel to "Monsters Inc." brings back Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan who are an inseparable pair, though that wasn't always the case.
