With his successful "Watch the Throne" project and upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, Kanye West shows his domination in Hip-Hip music. The boyfriend of Kim Kardashian leads the pack of 2012 BET Hip-Hop Award nominations with a total of 17 nods, vying for MVP of the Year, Video Director of the Year and Lyricist of the Year among others.

His single "Mercy", which features 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Pusha T, emerges in Best Hip-Hop Video, Reese's Perfect Combo, Best Club Banger and People's Champ categories. Meanwhile, his The Throne duet with Jay-Z lands him 6 nods, including Best Live Performer which also sees him being nominated as an individual.

Busta Rhymes takes a moment to remember his late manager Chris Lighty in a music video for his song "Doin It Again" that features Reek Da Villian and Chanel Nicolewho. The Hip-Hop mogul was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot to the head in late August.

Brad Pitt has just snatched another high-profile movie project. After recently filming Ridley Scott's "The Counselor" in England, the fiance of Angelina Jolie is now set to produce a big screen take on Edwin Black's New York Times bestseller "IBM and the Holocaust".

Courtesy of Vulture, Pitt, through his Plan B banner, is still shopping the project around to find any studios or TV cable to distribute it. Multiple insiders also say that the A-lister has attached himself to star in the Holocaust film in order to attract directors, but Plan B insists that the actor has not been formally tapped.

Chad Ochocinco Slapped With Domestic Battery Charge

Chad Ochocinco is charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic battery, a month after he was taken into custody for allegedly head-butting his wife Evelyn Lozada. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, September 13.

The former member of Miami Dolphins is expected to enter not guilty plea. The Broward County State Attorney's Office states that if he is found guilty in the head-butting incident with the reality TV star, he can face up to one year in jail.

As "Gossip Girl" nears its end, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage who created the teen drama series are developing a new project for The CW. It has been reported that the duo is working on "Copeland Prep" with "Twilight" helmer Catherine Hardwicke as the executive consultant.

Bret Easton Ellis, who has been showing interest in penning the script for "Fifty Shades of Grey" film adaptation, will provide the screenplay for the TV show. He is additionally joining forces with Schwartz, Savage, Len Goldstein and Nicky Weinstock to executive produce it.

Matchbox 20's latest studio album "North" debuts high on Billboard Hot 200. The September 4 release nabs the first place on the chart with 95,000 copies, marking the first chart-topping album for the alternative rock group.

Rob Thomas and co. previously were only able to peak at No. 3 with their second studio installment "Mad Season", which was released in 2000. It, however, sold much more than the fourth set in its first week by scanning 365,000 copies.

'Ant-Man' Test Footage Might Be Released for Public Soon

Good news has been shared for Marvel fans who are wishing to see the much-talked-about test footage of Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man". Marvel executive Victoria Alonso reveals to Omelete that the said video, which was first shown at this year's Comic-Con, is now being polished and will be ready for public's viewing pleasure sometime soon.

"What we showed at Comic-Con was a still unfinished video and we are working to finalize it. And I think you should see it, but do not know where yet," Alonso tells the site. "We always hear what the fans are saying and do everything to meet what they ask. I do not know if we'll publish it online, but I have no reason to imagine that is not a good way. If that's what the fans want ...."

Jay Pharoah to Take Over Obama Role From Fred Armisen on 'SNL'

Fred Armisen will no longer do impressions of Barack Obama on "Saturday Night Live" since the role is now given to Jay Pharoah. Executive producer Lorne Michaels reveals in an interview with The New York Times that the featured player will replace the repertory player to portray the U.S. commander-in-chief in the 38th season.

"Jay has been doing Obama in his act this summer, and Jay is coming into his own," Michaels says of the 24-year-old, who joined the NBC sketch show in 2010. He goes on explaining, "I just thought it might be time to shake it up."

Woody once complained that in "The Hunger Games", director Gary Ross didn't allow him to go to the full Haymitch mode. However, things change since Francis signs on to the second film. "I talked with Francis about that," the actor tells MTV News about having real alcohol in the sequel. "I'm going to try to go as far as possible. You know me. I'll try to take it over the top."

"A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler is not true," Clooney's rep, Stan Rosenfield, told several sites.
