'Downton Abbey' Debuts Dramatic Trailer for Season 3

While "Downton Abbey" isn't going to return on PBS until early 2013, the third season of the period drama series will premiere this September on ITV1. Thus, a new trailer has been released to give an extended preview to some emotional scenes that can be found in the next chapter.

The arrival of Martha Levinson (Shirley MacLaine), Edith and Sir Anthony Strallan's romantic moment, and Mr. Bates in jail are some of the scenes featured in the snippet, which is set to a choir's rendition of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day". Branson, the Earl and Thomas are seemingly going to get through a hard time as they shed tears in the video.

Muse Unleash Music Video for 'Madness'

Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard, members of the band Muse, have released a music video for their much-appreciated single "Madness". The song is lifted off the British band's sixth studio album, "The 2nd Law".

The said video, directed by Anthony Mandler, features a man and a woman in different dimly-lighted locations. It shows the pair sitting inside a train while smoking, walking aimlessly at what seems to be a deserted hallway, and at the train station as they stand in between protesters and cops. The visuals also show the band's vocalist singing and playing his instrument as the chaos continues around him.

Hal Needham, D.A. Pennebaker and George Stevens Jr. to Receive Academy's Honorary Awards

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced a list of people who are set to receive Honorary Awards from the Board of Governors. On late Wednesday, September 5, the organization named stunt performer Hal Needham, documentarian D.A. Pennebaker and arts advocate George Stevens Jr. as the recipients for the prestigious prizes.

Additionally, the Academy confirmed that philanthropist Jeffrey Katzenberg would be honored with the Jean Hesholt Humanitarian Award, the same prize which was given to Oprah Winfrey last year. All the four awards would be handed out to the honorees at the Academy's 4th Annual Governors Awards dinner on Saturday, December 1 at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center.

'The Voice' Season 3 Premiere Extended to Three Nights

NBC is expanding "The Voice" season 3 premiere to a third night. The network has previously scheduled a two-hour blind auditions episode to air on Monday, September 10 at 8 P.M. and a hour-long installment for Tuesday, September 11 at 8 P.M.

The Peacock is now adding a third episode to air in the premiere week, on Wednesday, September 12 at 8 P.M. to be exact. Filling the spot of an "America's Got Talent" repeat, the episode will be up against the first hour of "The X Factor (US)" season 2 premiere on FOX.

Report: Tom Cruise's Kids Told by Scientology Church to Reject Nicole Kidman

More details on how Scientology tries to control Tom Cruise's personal life have allegedly been uncovered by Vanity Fair. According to the magazine, the church called the "Top Gun" actor's second wife Nicole Kidman a "suppressive person" and an "antisocial" personality, a brand which is given to someone who may interfere with his spiritual well-being.

"The central problem [in the marriage] was Nicole did not want to deal with Scientology," former high-ranking Scientologist Marty Rathbun says. The actress, who is currently married to Keith Urban, is a Roman Catholic and she once stated she did not want their children raised as Scientologists.

Report: Porn Star James Deen in the Running for 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

The production team behind "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie has yet to say anything about who are the candidates to play Christian and Ana. However, rumor has run wild that adult film star James Deen is in the mix to tackle the male lead part in the film adaptation of E.L. James' steamy novel.

The report was first sparked by writer Bret Easton Ellis, who worked with Deen and Lindsay Lohan in "The Canyons". He recently took to his Twitter to share, "Just got inside information that James Deen is actually in the running to play Christian in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' with E.L. James support."

Amanda Bynes Officially Charged With Two Counts of Hit-and-Run

Amanda Bynes is once again caught in legal issues. The blond beauty might face, at most, a year in jail once the court proves that she has committed two counts of hit-and-run misdemeanor in two separate occasions which happened April 10 and August 4 of this year.

TMZ broke the news that the state prosecutors have decided to re-open Bynes' hit-and-run case because they were able to successfully link the first incident to a Los Angeles-based woman's filed report regarding the actress rear-ending her last August 4, and then just driving off after a short talk without even providing her insurance information. The said case was originally rejected a couple of weeks ago due to the fact that there's not enough witness back then.

Jose Padilha Denies Rumors That He Faces Hellish Time During 'RoboCop' Production

Contrary to the swirling rumors, director Jose Padilha claimed he didn't have a problem working on the "RoboCop" remake. Pouring cold water on the report suggesting that he had a hellish time during the production of the sci-fi film, the Brazilian filmmaker insisted that he's indeed "happy" with the big project.

In an interview with Brazilian site Cinema em Cena, Padilha said that those claims about him being unhappy with "RoboCop" were untrue. "I have a script I'm happy with and I got the cast I have picked," he explained, as translated by Latino Review.

'So You Think You Can Dance' Final Four Dancers Revealed

With just two weeks to go before "So You Think You Can Dance" crowns the winner of season 9, the number of contestants was chopped down to four on Wednesday, September 5. Before that, the remaining six dancers performed three times: one with a "SYTYCD" all-star, one with another finalist, and one solo number.

Christina Applegate, who joined the judges that night, called Tiffany Maher's jive with season two winner Benji Schwimmer infectious in a good way. Details of Michael Clarke Duncan's funeral have been revealed. A representative for the recently deceased actor has confirmed to E! News that a public viewing of Duncan's casket is set to be held from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. on Sunday, September 9. The event will take place at the Hall of Liberty in the Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks and Mortuaries in Hollywood Hills.

The rep, named Joy Fehily, also announced that there would a private service to be held on Monday. Led by Bishop Charles Blake, it would be an invitation-only burial ceremony. The eulogy, meanwhile, is set to be delivered by Dr. H. Beecher Hicks.

Singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding just released a music video for her song "Anything Could Happen". The track is the first single of her album "Halcyon" which will be released in the U.K. and the U.S. on October 8 and October 9 respectively.

The music video begins with a scenic view of the waves hitting the shores of Malibu, and then shows the beautiful electro-pop princess wearing an off-white almost-tattered dress while lying on a rock. It also features footage of her and a man in a car speeding down a road before ending with a very tragic twist as the man, who is apparently Ellie's soul mate, dies because of a car crash.

Chris Lighty's funeral drew a slew of hip-hop biggest artists on Wednesday, September 5. Celebrities namely LL Cool J, P. Diddy, Missy Elliot, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Russell Simmons, Mary J. Blige, Lyor Cohen and Grandmaster Flash were blending with family and friends to pay final respect to the late music manager at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel in Manhattan.

Met outside the chapel, LL told MTV News, "He was a jewel and a treasured person in the community. Just one of the architects of our culture and he was my friend." LeAnn Rimes has updated her status after entering a treatment facility to seek help in psychological issues. The singer/actress said she is "happy and healthy" following the 30 days program she has been taking as an in-patient since late last month.

"I just want to be happier and healthier more consistently. I don't want to wake up and not truly be enjoying my life and these amazing things around me," Rimes told People mag. She admitted to having self-confidence issues, saying "Sometimes when I look in the mirror, I see a child then I look and see a woman who should be turning 60.
