Nicolas Cage Hunting Serial Killer in 'The Frozen Ground' First Trailer

Nicolas Cage is investigating a series of murders in the first trailer for "The Frozen Ground". During his search for the serial killer, his character seemingly gets help from the savage man without noticing who he really is. In between the scenes set on a snowy landscape, Vanessa Hudgens' stripper character is featured pole dancing.

The upcoming thriller is based on true events about the most notorious hunter and killer in Alaska named Robert Hansen (John Cusack) who has been kidnapping young women and taking them out to the Alaskan wilderness to turn them loose and hunt them. Cage plays Alaskan detective Glenn Flothe who sets out to end the murderous rampage.

Carly Rae Jepsen won the crowd at MixTape Festival over the weekend with her catchy hit single "Call Me Maybe". She got the crowd going with the sugary dance/pop track as she pranced around the stage in front of a large number of concertgoers.

The "Canadian Idol" alum kept her youthful appearance in a red mini skirt, a blue long-sleeved blouse and sneakers. "What a rad venue ... Hershey Stadium!" she tweeted along with a picture of her singing in front of the live crowd at Hershey Stadium, Pennsylvania.

Tony Scott Remembered by Denzel Washington as 'Genuine Friend'

Condolences continue to pour in for Tony Scott's family following his death on Sunday, August 19. The latest star who paid respect to the late director is Denzel Washington, who collaborated with the filmmaker in a series of big screen projects.

"Tony Scott was a great director, a genuine friend and it is unfathomable to think that he is now gone," Denzel said in a statement to E! News. They worked together in "Crimson Tide", "Deja Vu", "Man on Fire", "The Taking of Pelham 123" and the director's last movie "Unstoppable".

Kelly Ripa to Introduce 'Live!' Permanent Co-Host on September 4

ABC has finally found Regis Philbin's replacement for "Live! with Kelly". Though so, the network still keeps the identity of the new full-time co-host a secret and will only unveil him during the show on September 4.

Kelly Ripa and whoever chosen as her new partner will welcome Claire Danes and Phillip Phillips as guests on their first day hosting the show together. A day before, on September 3, Ripa will appear solo for the season premiere, marking the first time she'll lead the morning talk show alone.

Trey Songz's "Hail Mary" music video has finally been premiered in full, following the R&B singer as he's coaching a team of female football players. His featured guests Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne join him on the field as well.

The single is listed in Trey's upcoming album "Chapter V", which is slated to be released Stateside on August 21. In addition to working with Jeezy and Weezy, he collaborates with Rick Ross, T.I., Meek Mill and P. Diddy.

First Official Look at Forest Whitaker as 'The Butler'

The first official image from "The Butler" has been released via Variety, giving a look at Forest Whitaker dressing in character as Eugene Allen. Pictured from the side, he's standing in a fancy room and appearing only in a silhouette form.

Based on Wil Haygood's Washington Post article "A Butler Well Served by This Election", the movie highlights the story of Allen, who started at the White House as a "pantry man" in 1952 when blacks weren't allowed to use public restrooms in his native Virginia.

Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy Visit His Mom's Grave in Cape Cod

After introducing Conor Kennedy to her family, Taylor Swift joined her new boyfriend to visit his mother's grave at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Cape Cod, Hyannis. The lovebirds were also accompanied by a group of family members including his sister Kyra and younger brothers, William and Aiden.

According to the New York Daily News, Taylor donned a pleated short dress with floral pattern, sunglasses and loafers, while Conor wore a "Chi-Town Showdown Champs" t-shirt. She reportedly consoled him by holding his hand. At one point, they were seen bowing their heads in prayer for the late Mary Richardson Kennedy, who committed suicide by hanging herself amid bitter divorce battle against RFK Jr.

Jim Carrey May Be the Colonel in 'Kick-Ass 2'

Jim Carrey might slip into a superhero costume in his next movie. The two-time Golden Globe Award winner is being courted by Universal Pictures to take "a showy supporting role" in "Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall", Deadline reports.

The 50-year-old actor/comedian will reportedly play Colonel Stars, a military-themed superhero who founds Justice Forever, a team consisting of heroes fighting crimes. The Grinch in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is said to be a fan of the action fantasy movie, but so far no deals are in place.

Lindsay Lohan landed in hot water once again when an expensive jewelry was reported missing by the owner of the house she's sleeping over the weekend. According to TMZ, the "Liz & Dick" actress, along with everyone in the house, was questioned by police.

LiLo was in house on Sunday night, August 19 with several other guests for a small gathering. The owner found out the jewelry was missing the next morning. No arrest has been made since investigation was still ongoing. The actress reportedly was very cooperative.

Wynonna Judd's Husband Has His Leg Amputated After Motorcycle Accident

Wynonna Judd gave update on her drummer husband's condition after he got into a serious motorcycle accident last Saturday, August 18. Michael Scott "Cactus" Moser injured his leg and hand after the motorbike he rode collided with an oncoming Chevrolet Malibu during his way to Deadwood, SD.

"Moser's left leg was severed at the scene of the accident and doctors in Rapid City, SD amputated the leg above the knee. He has also undergone surgery to his hand. Judd and Moser appreciate all of the quick medical and police responders as well as the hospital staff and well-wishes from family, friends and fans," read a statement on her official website.

DreamWorks Animation Parts Ways With Paramount, Will Release Films Through Fox

As its distribution deal with Paramount Pictures will end this November, DreamWorks Animation agrees to distribute its movies through 20th Century Fox. The studio announces that it has entered into a new five-year distribution agreement with the Century City-based company.

Under the terms of the agreement, Fox will begin distributing DreamWorks Animation's films from 2013 through 2017 in both domestic and international markets. Jeffrey Katzenberg, Chief Executive Officer of DreamWorks Animation, says in a statement, "Jim Gianopulos and Tom Rothman have built a world-class distribution team."

The comedienne, who is resting at home now, opened up that she experienced pains after helping another woman get out of a car. "A few hours later my body hurt. I had an ache in my chest, both my arms were sore. Everything felt bruised," she explained.

'The Dark Tower' Also Turned Down by Warner Bros.

Another studio has passed on "The Dark Tower". After Universal Pictures dropped the multi-movie adaptation of Stephen King's novel series, Warner Bros. turns down proposal for the ambitious project from Ron Howard and Imagine Entertainment, Variety reports.

Though the latest rejection doesn't necessarily mean the end of the planned super-sized franchise, it could be a serious blow to the efforts to bring the fantasy books into several feature films and a TV series. Neither Warners nor Imagine release comment on the news.

Tony Scott was working on "Top Gun 2" before jumping to his death. A so-called source close to the project reveals that the filmmaker met Tom Cruise as late as Friday and the two were touring a Naval air station in Nevada as part of their research for the planned action movie.

Plans for the "Top Gun"sequel were confirmed in May this year. At the time, Paramount Motion Picture Group president Adam Goodman said, "Jerry Bruckheimer would produce, with Tony Scott returning to direct. All parties are moving ahead. We've hired Peter Craig to write the script."

Phyllis Diller Died at 95, Fellow Comedians Tweeted Condolences

Comedienne great Phyllis Diller has just passed away. The housewife-turned-comic, who's well known for her wild hair, outlandish outfit and self-deprecating jokes, died in her Los Angeles home at the age of 95. Suffering a near-fatal heart attack in 1999, she lived in hospice care before her death.

Her longtime manager, Milton Suchin, said Phyllis "died peacefully in her sleep with a smile on her face." E! News reported she was found by her son Perry. The cause of her death hasn't been released, but she reportedly injured her wrist and hip in a serious fall recently.
