Kathy Griffin: Anderson Cooper Needs to Be Careful After Coming Out

While applauding her friend Anderson Cooper, Kathy Griffin offered words of advice to him. The TV personality said the Silver Fox, who often travels to dangerous places around the world to cover news, needed to be careful now that he has come out of the closet publicly. She explained why in a letter to the Daily Beast.

"The reality is that despite the very real, the very necessary, and the very life-changing progress we have made in this country in treating people across the sexual orientation spectrum with dignity and respect, America - the world - is not fully represented by Chelsea in New York City," she said.

New 'Dexter' Season 7 Teaser Shows a Bunch of New Footage

Another teaser for "Dexter" season 7 has been shared, offering glimpses of new footage from the upcoming chapter. In less than 5 seconds, more than four dozen shots are flashed, including a scene which sees Dexter and Debra in front of a fire. There are additionally some flashback scenes that give a look at the two as kids.

When the crime series returns Sunday, September 30 at 9 P.M. on Showtime, the story will pick up right where the season 6 finale left off. "Viewers might think we shy away from that moment of Debra walking in and seeing Dexter stabbing into Travis' chest, but it's just the opposite. She now has to deal with what she's seen and what she knows. And it forces him to defend and define himself," executive producer Scott Buck has stated.

'Avengers' Producer Talks Possibility to Add Dr. Strange to the Sequel

Jeremy Latcham, Senior Vice-President of Production Development of Marvel Studios, has recently discussed the company's plan for "The Avengers" sequel and other standalone movies for Marvel's characters. Speaking to Newsarama, Latcham dished that he wished to include Dr. Strange a.k.a Luke Cage in "The Avengers 2" or make a solo film for the character.

"I'd really like to do a Dr. Strange movie," Latcham said. "I'd really like to make a movie out of Luke Cage. There are a bunch of characters who, to me, are on that 'bigger' roster I'd still like to do. I'm not thinking, 'Yeah, I'd really like to make a movie out of The Hood or Hit-Monkey' or something."

New 'Walking Dead' Season 3 Photos Feature a Fight in Prison

Some intense scenes in the upcoming third season of "The Walking Dead" have been previewed in a form of pictures. In one of the two newly-released images, Rick, Glenn, Maggie and two other survivors stand in a defensive position and hold their weapons while walkers come approaching them.

The other shot which can be seen on Entertainment Weekly, meanwhile, features Maggie waving her machete as she is ready to attack a zombie in front of her. More walkers donning what seems to be a blue prison jumpsuit are seen swarming the prison yard in the image.

Amidst buzzing news about Anderson Cooper coming out of the closet publicly, it's reported that Frank Ocean has also opened up about his sexual orientation. The Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All rapper is believed to have addressed his sexuality in his upcoming debut album "Channel Orange".

While the CD won't be released until July 17, it has been previewed to some selected journalists including Max, who has worked with MTV and BBC. "On the songs 'Bad Religion', 'Pink Matter' and 'Forrest Gump' you can hear him sing about being in love and there are quite obvious words used like 'him' and not 'her'," he states.

Florence and the Machine Go Vintage in 'Breaking Down' Music Video

A music video for Florence and the Machine's "Breaking Down" has been unleashed for fans' viewing pleasure. It features shaky footage which were seemingly shot in the old Super 8 film format as the clip follows Florence Welch and her band mates enjoying the warm weather by lounging on the poolside, swimming and playing tennis in a 1960s set.

Some vintage black-and-white scenes and footage capturing the artists' moment on stage are also inserted in the video. Directed by Tabitha Denholm, who has previously worked on the band's videos for "Cosmic Love" and "Never Let Me Go", the clip was filmed while they were on tour in the United States.

Before holding a Hall H panel at the 2012 San Diego Comi-Con, Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" uveils a brand new image. Being released via Entertainment Weekly, the still shows Martin Freeman's Bilbo Baggins standing alone in a dark cave with his hand holding a sword. Looking perplexed, he's covered in dust and spiderweb.

Freeman explains that the scene shown in the image takes place in Mirkwood Forest, where the reluctant hobbit hero is forced to face giant spiders and other perils. "I don't think I'm particularly hobbit-y," the actor says. "But I do like comfort and I'm quite private, so in those ways, maybe I am."

After briefly reported to have ditched Twitter on Monday, July 2, Alec Baldwin returned to the micro-blogging site with a new handler, @ABFalecbaldwin. On his newly-revived account, he informed his followers that he donated $1 million to New York Philharmonic as his "deepest love and respect to" Zarin Mehta, outgoing Executive Director of the symphony orchestra. He himself is a member of its board.

"I have loved classical music all of my life, but Zarin Mehta made my dream of becoming part of the world of classical music come true," he said. "I will miss working with him directly, but will always bear in mind his passion, commitment, and insight as I continue my work with the New York Philharmonic. Zarin has my best wishes for the future, and I look forward to continuing our rich, musical friendship."

'Eastbound and Down' Will Return for Fourth Season

Another show has secured a new season order from HBO. It has been confirmed that the network picked up "Eastbound & Down", which is produced by Will Ferrell's production company Gary Sanchez Productions, for a fourth season consisting of another eight episodes.

The news was in contrary to what co-creator and star Danny McBride hinted at when talking about the show's future post the third season "We've always imagined this thing as something that we would keep short and not give it a chance to get old," he said at PaleyFest earlier this year, sparking rumors that the comedy series would end after the third season.

A and E Network Picks Up 'Psycho'-Inspired 'Bates Motel' to Series

A&E Network has picked up "Bates Motel" to series without even checking out the pilot. The network decided to bypass the traditional pilot stage and ordered 10 episodes of the project, which is inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 film "Psycho".

The project is described as "a contemporary exploration of the formative years of Norman Bates' relationship with his mother, Norma, and the world they inhabit." Through the show, "viewers will have access to the dark, twisted backstory and learn first-hand how Norman helped forge the most famous serial killer of them all."

HBO has given a vote of confidence to "True Blood" and "The Newsroom". The network has picked up both of the popular horror series and the new drama show to new season, ensuring that they will return for a sixth season and a second season respectively.
