DC Comics Reintroduces the Original Green Lantern as Gay

Another superhero comes out of the closet. After Marvel Comics revealed its plans to write a first ever gay wedding between its superheroes in "Astonishing X-Men", DC Comics has now confirmed that it relaunches the original Green Lantern aka Alan Scott as a gay in the second issue of "Earth 2", which is going to be published Wednesday, June 6.

"He's going to be the leader of the team, this dynamic hero, he'll do anything to save people, the bravest man on the planet. Why not just make him gay as well?" said "Earth 2" writer James Robinson of the character who first appeared in a 1940 issue of "All-American Comics".

'Snow White' Star Charlize Theron Questioned by Her Mom Over Her Parenting Skills

Charlize Theron admitted her mother is concerned about her parenting skills. The actress, who plays Queen Ravenna on "Snow White and the Huntsman", revealed she was feeding her son Jackson while watching "Game of Thrones", leaving her mom baffled.

"And my mum was like, 'Do you think it's fine that you're feeding your son while there's sword fights?'," the 36-year-old movie beauty opened up to Us Weekly. "I was like, 'It's fine, mum. It's fine.' So, yeah, I'm somewhat obsessed with that right now."

Charlie Sheen's Ex-Wife Brooke Mueller Returns to Rehab

Brooke Mueller has checked back into rehab, so TMZ reported. The ex-wife of Charlie Sheen reportedly sought an in-patient treatment for substance abuse a few weeks ago after visiting the actor at his L.A. home.

Mueller "seemed out of it" during the visit, leading Sheen to call an addiction specialist. The mother of two allegedly left before the professional had a chance to examine her, but later went to rehab on her own.

Sequels to 'X-Men: First Class' and 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' Get Release Dates

20th Century Fox has announced release dates for some of its upcoming big movies. The studio has set the untitled X-Men: First Class sequel for a July 18, 2014 release, and planned to debut "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" ("Rise of the Planet of the Apes" sequel) on May 23, 2014 in the United States.

Also being lined up in 2014 is "Robopocalypse". Initially set to be unleashed across the nation on July 3, 2013, the Steven Spielberg-directed drama sci-fi movie now occupies an April 25, 2014 slot. Meanwhile, Fox has rescheduled "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" for an August 16, 2013 release after initially planning to debut it on March 27 next year.

Robin Thicke remembers Whitney Houston in his latest music video. The "Duets" judge takes a stroll on the streets of Los Angeles while crooning the late singer's 1995 single "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" and taking fans to places which show how much she will be missed.

The cover song was released in February as a free download. "This is my tribute to the great Whitney Houston. Sending my prayers to her family," the husband of actress Paula Patton wrote on Twitter back then.

Barrymore showed off her baby bump in a black top, while Diaz matched her friend's casual look by wearing a plain white tee and a pair of turquoise pants. The two ladies were joined by Kopelman who picked up a few things of his own which included a tuxedo. He was also seen carrying a bag from Parisian jewelry and watch designer Van Cleef & Arpels.

A representative for the husband of Mariah Carey told New York Post in an email, "Unfortunately [Nick] was pulled . . . for a shoot and due to budgets, production elements and other parties . . . beyond his control, he was no longer able to participate at the event."

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has announced the date for 2013 Grammy Awards. The celebration of Music's Biggest Night will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 10, 2013, and will air live on CBS from 8 - 11:30 P.M. (ET/PT).

Its nominees will be revealed on December 5 this year in "The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! - Countdown To Music's Biggest Night", that will also air live on CBS. The eligibility year for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards is October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012.

New Disney Studios Chief Alan Horn Wants to Make Eight Movies a Year

Soon after Walt Disney Studios named Rich Ross' successor, Alan Horn has talked about his plans with his new position as the company's chairman. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the former President and COO of Warner Bros. revealed he would like to see the studio making eight movies per year.

"Six to eight movies [a year] feels like the right number for me [live-action films, excluding Marvel]," he said, before adding that it's not an exact number. "That's a range. It could be four... Bob [Disney CEO Robert Iger] has been very flexible and very open about the number of movies. We don't want 25 movies a year, [but] we're not backing into any number. Bob did not give me any budget constraints."

The third and final part of the miniseries topped the record set by its first installment by drawing a massive 14.3 million viewers on Wednesday night, May 31. Among the audience, 6.3 million of them were adults 25-54, and 5.1 million were adults 18-49.

On Memorial Day (Monday, May 28), the drama show debuted to 13.9 million viewers, making it the No. 1 non-sports telecast in ad-supported cable television history. Overall, the three-night telecasts averaged 13.8 total viewers with a 4.9 rating in 18-49 demo. The average rating in the adults demo made it the highest rated miniseries or movie on cable since 1998.

Family Puts Amy Winehouse's Beloved House for Sale

Anyone can buy Amy Winehouse's home in north London for 2.7 million pounds. A spokesman for the late singer's family said on Thursday, May 31 that they are selling the three-bedroom house because it would be inappropriate if they live there.

"The Winehouses have decided to put the house on the market, with great regret," the spokesman said. "Amy loved that house but none of the family felt it appropriate that they should live in it and it was not practical to keep it empty while paying the costs of its upkeep."
