As summer holiday season gets close, tons of great movies are ready to grace cinemas nationwide and to pamper movie lovers while enjoying the mid year festivity. For a guide, AceShowbiz presents the Must Watch Summer Movies 2012. The list is divided into two parts, compiling highly-anticipated films that have been generating massive early buzz, receiving positive responses by far and being thought to have the potential to be successful blockbuster movies.

This first part of the list consists of movies that offer thrilling actions and promise to make audience enjoy some adventures as well as intense battle and fight scenes. Among those making it into the list are much-talked-about superhero pics like "The Dark Knight Rises", "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "The Avengers", and also thrill-ride flicks like "Prometheus", "Battleship" and "The Bourne Legacy".

To tide fans over the return of "Homeland", Showtime has released a teaser for the upcoming season 2 that highlights the important moments from the first season. Reminding viewers about the unsolved mysteries, it's promised in the video that all the answers will be provided in the second chapter.

When it premieres on September 30, the second season will pick up six months after the events of the season 1 finale. It will deal with such questions as, "How's Carrie's rehabilitation? What's up with Saul? What's up with Brody and his wife, his political career?"

Lil Scrappy has been treated and released from a hospital recently. The Atlanta rapper, whose real name is Darryl Kevin Richardson II, was rushed to Emory University Hospital on Tuesday, April 17 morning after suffering a severe asthma attack. About his health scare, he told TMZ, "I damn near died."

The 28-year-old MC, who has worked with the likes of Lil Jon, 50 Cent, Ludacris and Three 6 Mafia, confessed that he had been partying hard the night before his hospitalization. When he woke up on Tuesday, he could barely breathe and couldn't talk. "I felt like I was dying," he recalled.

Just a few days after Cee-Lo Green confirmed he worked on a duet with Christina Aguilera, the female judge/vocal coach of "The Voice" revealed title of their joint track. In a backstage interview, she spilled the song is titled "Make the World Move".

"I'm excited about recording with Cee Lo," the mother of one gushed about the project. "The song is called 'Make the World Move' and it's fun, positive and full of life." She added, "The two of us together joining forces is going to be huge!"

David Cronenberg's thriller "Cosmopolis", which has Robert Pattinson as the lead actor, has been confirmed to be joining the lineup of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival in French. The news is not only announced on the official site of the festival, but is also revealed in a newly released international trailer for the upcoming film.

Being debuted via Allocine, the full trailer is opened with an official stamp and logo from Cannes which reads, "Competition Officielle Festival de Cannes". The gritty promo video also offers a look at the chaotic and crazy things that happen unexpectedly in one day of Pattinson's Eric Packer's life. Some fight and sex scenes are among those which are highlighted in the trailer.

Coldplay have teased their upcoming music video for latest single "Princess of China". The band fronted by Chris Martin played a snippet of the video while performing at one of their tour stops in Edmonton earlier this week.

The sneak peek saw their featured guest, Rihanna, rocking a "gangsta goth geisha" attire. The Bajan beauty was singing her part while striking a goddess pose with hands appearing from her behind and moving to the beat of the song.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are celebrating their engagement with a family trip. On Tuesday, April 17, the Hollywood power couple and their six children were spotted arriving at the Baltra airport in Guayaquil, Ecuador. They were en route to the famous Galapagos Islands where Charles Darwin conceived his theory of evolution.

A local Twitter user shared a snapshot of the family after they got off their private jet. Meanwhile, a source in the mayor's office of Santa Cruz told PEOPLE on Wednesday, "We were informed that they arrived at the airport in Baltra yesterday. Then they made their way over to a villa in the Galapagos Islands." It is said that the family were heading to the Royal Palm Hotel.

A few more details from "American Horror Story" season 2 have been shared. Promoting the FX thriller series at the TV Academy in North Hollywood, creator Ryan Murphy said that "[season two] is set on the East Coast at an institution for the criminally insane" that is run by Jessica Lange's character.

Asked if Zachary Quinto, who will be the nemesis to Lange's alter ego, is an inmate at the said institution, Murphy coyly replied, "Maybe." Little is known about Quinto's character, but the "Heroes" alum himself said he will play "something totally different and in a totally different world with many of the same actors."

Soon after news about the passing of Dick Clark made its round on the web, people flooded Twitter with demands to see the late TV icon incarnated via hologram image. Apparently inspired by Tupac Shakur's resurrection at Coachella, the fans want his virtual image to host the upcoming "New Year's Rockin' Eve".

As scheduled, Nicholas Stoller's romantic comedy "The Five-Year Engagement" has kicked off the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Wednesday night, April 18. Taking place at the Ziegfeld Theater, the film was premiered to a star-studded event. Stealing the spotlight on the red carpet were lead actors Emily Blunt and Jason Segel.

Blunt glammed up in a Jason Wu strapless black dress with forest green embroidery details on the front. She finished off her gorgeous look with green earrings and matching heels. Damon and Rebekah are likely to be on the same side during one last battle in "The Vampire Diaries" season finale. As hinted in a new picture which is debuted via TV Guide, both the older Salvatore and the only daughter of the Original family are shocked and terrified of something or someone unseen in the final episode of the third season.

It's unclear what threatens Damon and Rebekah, but Steven R. McQueen has spilled that "there will be blood" in the upcoming May 10 outing. Meanwhile, executive producer Julie Plec said the episode will be an emotional one as it includes a flashback of Elena's past.

Madonna is calling herself a survivor. The Material Girl sat down with veteran journalist Brian Williams in an interview for NBC's "Rock Center" that airs Wednesday, April 18 night, and opened up about how she feels about having to juggle her role as a single mother of four and as an international superstar.

"The Bachelor" has finally reacted to the discrimination lawsuit filed by two men who auditioned for the show. Through a statement released by Warner Horizon, one of the production companies behind the reality series, the producers said, "This complaint is baseless and without merit."

"In fact, we have had various participants of color throughout the series' history," they added. "And the producers have been consistently - and publicly - vocal about seeking diverse candidates for both programs. As always, we continue to seek out participants of color for both 'The Bachelor' and 'The Bachelorette'."

Rihanna apparently believes there isn't anyone who dislikes Adele because she finds it hard to understand the idea of people hating the British pop sensation. A big fan of the "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker, Riri jokingly says she would personally deal with the hater if there were any.

A very first look at Anthony Hopkins in his portrayal of legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock in "Hitchcock" has been revealed. Clad in a sleek black suit, the veteran actor resembles the look of the late English director/producer complete with his bald head.

In the true story drama, Hopkins is joined by Scarlett Johansson, James D'Arcy, Jessica Biel and Helen Mirren. The movie itself tells the untold story of Hitchcock's struggles during the making of the 1960 film "Physco". It also follows the late director's relationship with his wife Alma, who is his sounding board and constant collaborator for the fifty-four years of their marriage.

"The Voice" team is ready to launch season 3 in the fall if NBC gives the greenlight. Addressing the swirling rumors at a press conference in Pasadena on Tuesday, April 17, Carson Daly did not rule out the possibility of the early premiere but claimed that the decision has not been made.

"Well, we'd certainly be excited about the opportunity to put the show, that people are so passionate about, on again," said the host, who also serves as producer for the show's second season. "On the production side, we're ready to go. The truth it it's a call from the network that we haven't gotten yet. But we'd be thrilled by it."

After it was announced that Levon Helm is losing his battle with cancer, words of support and love have come rushing in. One of them came from the drummer's former mate in The Band, Robbie Robertson, as he took to his Facebook account on Wednesday, April 18 to express his sadness.

"Last week I was shocked and so saddened to hear that my old band mate, Levon, was in the final stages of his battle with cancer," the 68-year-old guitarist wrote. Despite scoring a big success with "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol", director Brad Bird claimed that he would not helm more movies in the agent Ethan Hunt film franchise. In an interview with Crave Online, Bird said that he will let another filmmaker tackle the directing duty for the next "M:I" pic.

"No, I think that one of the things that's fun about the series is that they always pull a different director and try to get a different kind of take on the premise," Bard explained the reason of his decision. "I'd probably be open to looking at it, but I think that part of one of the successes of the franchise is that they're always reassessing it with a new director."

The first full trailer for Steven Soderbergh's male stripper film "Magic Mike" has finally been debuted. Though presenting several glimpses at hunky actors displaying their ripped abs in front of hysterical ladies, the promo video puts it focus more on Channing Tatum's titular character who makes some easy cash by running an adult show business.

Tatum stars as Mike Matingano, who takes a young dancer named the Kid as his protege. Mike teaches the newbie some fine arts of partying, picking up ladies and making easy money. The story itself is based on Tatum's real life experience as a stripper when he was 19 years old. Starring as the young Tatum a.k.a the Kid is British heartthrob Alex Pettyfer.

Lionel Richie finally reaches the summit of Billboard Hot 200 after being denied the hot spot for the first two weeks since releasing his new album "Tuskegee". The Motown artist settles on the penthouse of the U.S. album chart as the CD shifts another 129,000 copies (up 35%).

Hollywood is mourning the death of another one of its iconic TV host and producers. "America's Oldest Teenager" Dick Clark died of a massive heart attack at the age of 82 on Wednesday, April 18 morning. As soon as news of his death was made public, tributes to the longtime "American Bandstand" host began to pour in.

Among the first to express condolences was Ryan Seacrest, who took over Clark's hosting duties for "New Year's Rockin' Eve". In a lengthy statement, the "American Idol" host said, "I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Dick Clark. He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life. I idolized him from the start, and I was graced early on in my career with his generous advice and counsel."

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is losing another of its original cast members. Following rumors that she was fired from the reality series, Sheree Whitfield has confirmed she's leaving the show by tweeting on Wednesday, April 18, "Yes it is official. I'm leaving Real Housewives of Atlanta. I enjoyed my time working with everyone affiliated with the show."

A producer is suing after claiming he spent two years developing "Anger Management" only to be kicked out of the project when Charlie Sheen signed on. The series' current producer Joe Roth said that the case "has no merit" and thought that it has been dropped months ago.

Jason Shuman alleged that he and Blue Star Entertainment helped to develop the comedy series "under the false promise of receiving significant backend ownership in, and producer credit and fees on, the show". In his lawsuit, which was filed Wednesday, April 18, Shuman said Roth and his PH Revolution Studios did not "honor its written producer agreement".

Justin Bieber's fame was used to sexually abuse a 12-year-old girl from New Jersey. A 34-year-old man named Lee Moir from Toronto, Ontario posed as the pop singer to trick the girl on a video chat site.

According to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray, Moir initially used Bieber's image n Facebook to lure the girl. He told the girl to perform sexual acts on her webcam and she complied. But she soon realized that it was not Bieber on the other end and ceased communication. Moir then repeatedly threatened to harm her family.

Kate Middleton once again makes the list of TIME magazine's 100 most influential people of the year but the Duchess of Cambridge is no longer accompanied by her husband Prince William like last year.
