As summer holiday season gets close, tons of great movies are ready to grace cinemas nationwide and to pamper movie lovers while enjoying the mid year festivity. For a guide, AceShowbiz presents the Must Watch Summer Movies 2012. The list is divided into two parts, compiling highly-anticipated films that have been generating massive early buzz, receiving positive responses by far and being thought to have the potential to be successful blockbuster movies.

This first part of the list consists of movies that offer thrilling actions and promise to make audience enjoy some adventures as well as intense battle and fight scenes. Among those making it into the list are much-talked-about superhero pics like "The Dark Knight Rises", "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "The Avengers", and also thrill-ride flicks like "Prometheus", "Battleship" and "The Bourne Legacy".

Lil Scrappy 'Damn Near Died' Due to Severe Asthma Attack

Lil Scrappy has been treated and released from a hospital recently. The Atlanta rapper, whose real name is Darryl Kevin Richardson II, was rushed to Emory University Hospital on Tuesday, April 17 morning after suffering a severe asthma attack. About his health scare, he told TMZ, "I damn near died."

The 28-year-old MC, who has worked with the likes of Lil Jon, 50 Cent, Ludacris and Three 6 Mafia, confessed that he had been partying hard the night before his hospitalization. When he woke up on Tuesday, he could barely breathe and couldn't talk. "I felt like I was dying," he recalled.

Robert Pattinson's 'Cosmpolis' Confirmed for Cannes as Full International Trailer Arrives

David Cronenberg's thriller "Cosmopolis", which has Robert Pattinson as the lead actor, has been confirmed to be joining the lineup of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival in French. The news is not only announced on the official site of the festival, but is also revealed in a newly released international trailer for the upcoming film.

Being debuted via Allocine, the full trailer is opened with an official stamp and logo from Cannes which reads, "Competition Officielle Festival de Cannes". The gritty promo video also offers a look at the chaotic and crazy things that happen unexpectedly in one day of Pattinson's Eric Packer's life. Some fight and sex scenes are among those which are highlighted in the trailer.

A local Twitter user shared a snapshot of the family after they got off their private jet. Meanwhile, a source in the mayor's office of Santa Cruz told PEOPLE on Wednesday, "We were informed that they arrived at the airport in Baltra yesterday. Then they made their way over to a villa in the Galapagos Islands." It is said that the family were heading to the Royal Palm Hotel.

'American Horror Story' Season 2 Location Revealed, More Actors From Season 1 to Return

A few more details from "American Horror Story" season 2 have been shared. Promoting the FX thriller series at the TV Academy in North Hollywood, creator Ryan Murphy said that "[season two] is set on the East Coast at an institution for the criminally insane" that is run by Jessica Lange's character.

Asked if Zachary Quinto, who will be the nemesis to Lange's alter ego, is an inmate at the said institution, Murphy coyly replied, "Maybe." Little is known about Quinto's character, but the "Heroes" alum himself said he will play "something totally different and in a totally different world with many of the same actors."

"Last week I was shocked and so saddened to hear that my old band mate, Levon, was in the final stages of his battle with cancer," the 68-year-old guitarist wrote. "It hit me really hard because I thought he had beaten throat cancer and had no idea that he was this ill. I spoke with his family and made arrangements to go and see him."

"America's Oldest Teenager" Dick Clark died of a massive heart attack at the age of 82 on Wednesday, April 18 morning. Among the first to express condolences was Ryan Seacrest, who took over Clark's hosting duties for "New Year's Rockin' Eve". In a lengthy statement, the "American Idol" host said, "I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Dick Clark. He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life. 'Anger Management' Producer Says Lawsuit Has No Merit

A producer is suing after claiming he spent two years developing "Anger Management" only to be kicked out of the project when Charlie Sheen signed on. The series' current producer Joe Roth said that the case "has no merit" and thought that it has been dropped months ago.

Jason Shuman alleged that he and Blue Star Entertainment helped to develop the comedy series "under the false promise of receiving significant backend ownership in, and producer credit and fees on, the show". In his lawsuit, which was filed Wednesday, April 18, Shuman said Roth and his PH Revolution Studios did not "honor its written producer agreement".

Justin Bieber's fame was used to sexually abuse a 12-year-old girl from New Jersey. A 34-year-old man named Lee Moir from Toronto, Ontario posed as the pop singer to trick the girl on a video chat site.

According to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray, Moir initially used Bieber's image n Facebook to lure the girl. He told the girl to perform sexual acts on her webcam and she complied. But she soon realized that it was not Bieber on the other end and ceased communication. Moir then repeatedly threatened to harm her family.
