Bruce Springsteen Announces 'Wrecking Ball' Tour Dates in U.S.

Bruce Springsteen has announced the additional dates of his "Wrecking Ball" tour. Previously, The Boss and E Street Band listed dates between May 13 to July 28, but they will actually go down the road as early as March 18.

The 19-date tour in the United States will kick off at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on March 18 and wrap up at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on May 2. The band will continue the trek to Europe eleven days after completing the U.S. tour. But they will return Stateside sometime later this year to play major stadiums.

More accusations against how honest "American Idol" is, have surfaced. The bikini girl, the first contestant to audition in San Diego this year is unhappy that she was rejected because she claimed judge Steven Tyler has admitted her before the audition.

Jennifer Diley said the producers told her to choose from a list of "flirty" songs such as Jessica Simpson's "With You" and Mariah Carey's "Hero", which she both eventually sang. Tyler said she lacked the "fire that your get-up does" and she got booted without comment in the second song.

As expected, "The Artist" is one of the biggest nominees at this year's Academy Awards, but it is not the one with the biggest chance to win. Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" beats the number of nominations pocketed by the silent movie by one. The 3D children fantasy led this year's Oscar race with 11 nominations, including Best Picture.

Best Pictures nominees beside "The Artist" and "Hugo" are "The Descendants", "The Help", "Moneyball", "Midnight in Paris", "The Tree of Life", "War Horse" and "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close". The recent changes in the rules for Best Picture ballots enable nine movies to qualify for the category, because they garner first-place votes.

'True Blood' Recasts Sookie's Fairy Relative, Claude

"True Blood" has added another actor to the cast line-up of its fifth season. Newcomer Giles Matthey has been cast for the role of Claude, the hot and mysterious fairy who was briefly portrayed by Neil Hopkins in the first episode of last season.

Matthey, who has appeared on "The Good Wife" in an October episode, will not be a series regular. He, however, is booked for a multi-episode arc and the part reportedly could develop into something even larger.

A spokesman for production company Fremantle Media says that the ex-husband of Britney Spears is set to "undergo further investigation with a cardiologist" on Tuesday, January 24.

Federline was rushed to a hospital on Monday, January 23 after displaying symptoms of minor cardiac arrest. He was released later the same night and is recovering at home. About his release, Fremantle's spokesman said, "Excess Baggage contestant Kevin Federline has been given the all-clear after spending the day in medical care."

Evanescence Debut 'My Heart Is Broken' Music Video

Evanescence have just premiered a music video for "My Heart Is Broken", the latest single from their self-titled album "Evanescence". Taking inspiration from the 1988 British fantasy/horror film "Paperhouse", the clip sees frontwoman Amy Lee holding light in her hands while belting out lyrics from the song. Meanwhile, her bandmates play in a dream-like state.

"We're playing with fiber optics, and so it's basically like I'm drawing the world around me from nothingness, and when I draw things with my hands, it's like they actually come to life," she explained to MTV News. "So it's a lot of fun with creating this surreal dream world, and the guys' performance is sort of like the dream within the dream, in an abyss of darkness; it's very cool."

Ben Stiller will lend his comedic skill for HBO's next comedy pilot "All Talk". The Greg Focker of "Little Fockers" has signed on to direct, executive produce as well as star in the project which comes from novelist Jonathan Safran Foer, who also wrote "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close". The 2005 novel itself was recently adapted into a movie starring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock.

"Ben Stiller continues to be a major, multi-talented star because of his discerning ability to embrace creative and innovative projects - whatever the medium," said HBO's president of programming Michael Lombardo. Fox Searchlight Acquires Real-Life Drama 'The Surrogate' for $6M at Sundance

"The Surrogate", a drama based on a true story directed by Ben Lewin, has found its distributor at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The film has been sold to Fox Searchlight on Monday, January 23. The studio acquired the movie for $6 million, making it the largest buying at the annual festival so far.

That was Fox Searchlight's first acquisition at this year's festival. The studio has won the bidding war from other high-profile bidders, including The Weinstein Company. During last year's Sundance, the indie studio bought the rights to several well-reviewed movies, including "Martha Marcy May Marlene".
