New Cast of 'The Celebrity Apprentice' Confirmed

Those competing in the new season of "The Celebrity Apprentice" have been revealed officially on Wednesday, January 4. These bunch of celebrities' names have actually been leaked in October last year when the filming started in New York

"I just think we have a major group of celebrities, and we have a very iconic group," said host Donald Trump. "This is the best cast we've ever had, the biggest cast, and it's going to be special." Executive producer Mark Burnett added, "We've never seen such a smart and funny group as this year's lineup of celebrities."

Mariah Carey Posts Pic of Nick Cannon Hospitalized

Mariah Carey's husband is hospitalized in Aspen for mild kidney failure. The singer revealed the news via Twitter by posting a photo of her nursing Nick Cannon on hospital bed. "Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman," she tweeted in companion of the photo.

Carey later gave out more details about Cannon's health in a blog post. "This is us in the hospital - role reversal," she began. "Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are. We're trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C."

'Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story' Close to Cast Adam Goldberg as Male Porn Star

Hot on the heels of Demi Moore's casting for "Lovelace", it is now reported that Adam Goldberg is close to land a role in a rival Linda Lovelace biopic, "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story". The "Norman" actor is in final talks to star as male porn star Harry Reems in the Matthew Wilder-directed film.

According to Variety, Adam is expected to play Linda's co-star in her famous adult film "Deep Throat". Should he join the film, he will star opposite Malin Akerman who replaced Lindsay Lohan in tackling the titular role.

The "Frankie and Alice" star generated speculations that she might be ready to walk down the aisle for the third time after being seen wearing what seemed to be an engagement ring during a recent outing.

The 45-year-old actress was caught on camera rocking a golden ring with a large emerald gemstone as center piece when enjoying New Year's Day with boyfriend Olivier Martinez on Malibu Beach. She was also spotted wearing the ring days earlier as she and Olivier had a romantic lunch in Beverly Hills on December 29.

Fun. have debuted a beautifully-made music video for their single "We Are Young". Directed by Marc Klasfeld, the clip shot in a slow-motion style sees the indie pop band performing the song at a bar. The chaos begins when people start to pick up a fight and attack each other, but the band are undeterred by the brawl and continue their show as if nothing happens.

"We Are Young" is a song taken from Fun.'s upcoming second studio album "Some Nights" which is due in the United States on February 21. It features Janelle Monae who makes a cameo appearance in its music video. Wearing her signature starched tuxedo and immaculately-coiffed hair, she appears in the middle of the bar fight standing motionless.

Brad Pitt's zombie war film "World War Z" has yet to be released in theaters, but plans to turn it into a potential franchise have already been made. In a Los Angeles Times' article about Pitt's acting career, it was revealed that the post-apocalyptic movie has been prepared as a trilogy.

"For Pitt, the big sci-fi thriller also represents his strongest bid to have a big film franchise of his own, which might be viewed as the missing piece of his career jigsaw puzzle," so read the article. "[Director Marc] Foster and Paramount Pictures each view 'World War Z' as a trilogy."

On Thursday, December 29, the former California governor put on the ring as he went out with friends in Sun Valley, Idaho to enjoy a cup of coffee. Days afterward on Monday, January 2, his estranged wife was seen wearing what seems to be her band when walking her dog in Beverly Hills.

"Recently, she endorsed me," the 2012 Republican presidential candidate went on to brag. "I had to admit, I didn't know a whole lot about her, but I did know that our supporters were so enthusiastic about it they went out and bumped up sales of her record by 600 percent."

It's two weeks shy of the "Glee" midseason premiere, and one more songs from the opener has been unveiled. It's a cover of "Summer Nights", a classic song from musical "Grease", which is led by Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Mercedes (Amber Riley). Rumor has it, the boys will sing on the bleachers, while the girls will gossip in the cafeteria.

The other songs that will be featured in the next outing of "Glee" include a cover of Rihanna's "We Found Love" and Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger". The former is performed by Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana (Naya Rivera), while the latter is sung by Artie (Kevin McHale) who mashes it up with The Rolling Stones' classic "Jumpin' Jack Flash".

General Zod won't be the only Superman's nemesis in "Man of Steel", if the rumors are true. While it is widely known that Michael Shannon has been cast as Zod, words spread recently that Bradley Cooper might appear as Lex Luthor, a role which Adam Harris was previously being eyed for.

An insider revealed to Cosmic Book News that the "Limitless" actor will make a cameo appearance as Luthor in the upcoming movie. Should the report be true, he will be the youngest actor to play the supervillain, who was previously made famous by such senior actors as Gene Hackman in 1978's "Superman" and Kevin Spacey in 2006's "Superman Returns".

After crowning John Rhode as a winner last season, "The Biggest Loser" returned with "No Excuses" on Tuesday, January 3. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star encouraged her 5.6 million Twitter followers to help save endangered tigers on January 1. Two days afterward, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) revealed that they have a surge in donations to its Texting for Tigers program.

"In the past couple of days, we've had over 600 people text for tigers [at $10 a text], which is fantastic and more than usual," a spokeswoman for the WWF told E! News. "That equals over $6,000! The money donated goes to science and research on the ground in regions of the world where tigers live, so that we may better understand how to protect them and to help develop and protect their habitats."

Jennifer Lopez's Boyfriend Sentenced to Probation in Drag Racing Case

Jennifer Lopez's dancer boyfriend finally learned about his fate on charges stemming from his April 2010 arrest for illegal drag racing. Casper Smart was sentenced to one year probation on Tuesday, January 3, after his attorney entered a no contest plea at the Van Nuys Superior Court in Los Angeles.

"His attorney came in and advanced the case this morning," L.A. City Attorney's Office spokesperson Frank Mateljan informed Us Weekly. "[His attorney] entered a no contest plea and was sentenced to 12 months summary probation and ordered to pay a $500 fine." The rep added, "It was a misdemeanor charge. I do not believe we have any further pending cases."

When David Fincher's "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)" performed below the expectation on the box office, questions whether Sony Pictures remains interested in developing its sequel arose. Steve Elzer, a representative for the studio, was quick to put off any speculations and confirmed that "The Girl Who Played with Fire (2013)" is "moving forward."

Elzer explained to TheWrap that the sequel remains on target for a late 2013 release. "Dragon Tattoo" lead stars Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are also set to reprise their roles as Lisbeth and Mikael respectively. Concert Promoter Kidnapped After Nas Missed New Year's Eve Gig

Nas landed in hot water for failing to show up at a recent concert arranged to celebrate New Year's Eve in Angola. The American rapper's no-show reportedly caused a promoter for the gig, AllGood Entertainment CEO Patrick Allocco, to get kidnapped and held at gunpoint.

Melanie Amaro Signed to L.A. Reid's Label

"The X Factor (US)" winner Melanie Amaro has scored herself a recording deal with judge L.A. Reid's label, Epic Records. "We all agreed that Epic would be the right fit for Melanie. L.A. made it clear that he wanted the opportunity to work with her and with his track record, you can't say no to that," Simon Cowell said of his approval.

Epic is part of Sony Music Empire which will provide Amaro with $5 million. "I joined The X Factor to be able to discover undeniable talent such as Melanie," Reid said in the release. "I am pleased that she is now signed to Epic Records because I believe we have only scratched the surface on uncovering her talent and her inevitable journey to super-stardom."
