Having been known for its interest in today's popular events, "South Park" will include a reference to Occupy Wall Street protests in its upcoming episode. Titled "1%", the Wednesday, November 2 outing will center on Cartman who fails to pass Physical Fitness exam at his school.

Cartman's classmates are not happy when they have to endure extra work out time because of this. As the 99% of fourth grade kids blame him, Cartman responds, "I know how this works. You're the 99% ganging up on the one percent." Sobbing in his room, he says, "Now the 99% is saying everything is my fault."

Taylor Lautner will expand his career to the independent film industry. The actor, who is famously known for playing Jacob Black in the "Twilight Saga" film franchise, is finalizing a deal to star in and produce an indie pic that will be directed by "Milk" helmer Gus Van Sant.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the small-budget film project is based on a nonfiction article in The New Yorker magazine that Taylor has optioned. Further details about the project remain scarce, but sources said there will be an announcement made this week about who will write the script.

Hollywood is mourning the lost of one of its notable members. Gilbert Cates, the man who served as the lead producer of the Academy Awards telecast for a record 14 times, died on Monday, October 31, evening at the age of 77, and the likes of Steven Spielberg and Annette Bening have paid tribute to the veteran director-producer.

"No one may ever again achieve what Gil Cates achieved in his contributions to the success of the Motion Picture Academy and the Directors Guild," Spielberg said in a statement. "In producing 14 Oscar shows for the Academy and leading the Directors Guild through challenging times and negotiations, he set a remarkable standard for dedication and excellence."

HBO has planned an early start for its new show "Luck". The network has announced that it will premiere the pilot for the Dustin Hoffman-starring series on Sunday, December 11 at 10:00 P.M., following the second season finale of "Boardwalk Empire".

However, the horse-racing drama will not return with a follow-up episode until January 29, 2012 which is set as the date for its official debut. Starting that day, the new series will air on its regular Sunday slot.

A first look at new buddy cop series "Common Law" has been made available in a form of a trailer. It sees two acclaimed LAPD homicide detectives who get arguing with each other any time, including when they are chasing the bad guy.

Since constant bickering gets in the way of their work, the two end up on probation. To revive their flagging professional relationship, their captain sends them to a couple counseling with therapist Dr. Ryan who will help them try to understand and resolve their conflicts.

Three beautiful starlets are close to star in Harmony Korine's upcoming film called "Spring Breakers". Variety reported that Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Emma Roberts are in talks to play college girls who rob a restaurant to pay for their trip to the beach.

Gomez is expected to play the most religious member of the gang, Roberts is eyed to portray a Southerner who feeds off danger, and Hudgens is likely to tackle on another gang member. If they get the role, they will join James Franco, who is set to play a drug and arms dealer who bails those girls out of jail and entices them to kill his rival.

Jimmy Kimmel has made the most of Kim Kardashian's divorce by poking fun at it on his late-night show. Reporting the reality TV star's split from Kris Humphries on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Monday night, October 31, the comedian also debuted a fake promo for a TV special which is claimed to cover the couple's divorce process.

Christopher Chaney, who is accused of hacking into the e-mail accounts of numerous celebrities, including Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera and Mila Kunis, has pleaded not guilty in federal court. He entered the plea on Tuesday, November 1 when making his first court appearance in Los Angeles, California.

Charged with nine counts of computer hacking for gain, eight counts of aggravated identify theft and nine counts of illegal wiretapping, the Florida native faces a maximum of 121 years in federal prison. Prosecutors noted that the aggravated identity theft charge alone carries a mandatory two-year prison sentence. Trial has been set for December 27.

After directing "The Tree of Life", Terrance Malick is set to helm two more high-profile films called "Lawless" and "Knight of Cups". For the upcoming movie projects, Malick has tapped several notable actors, including Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett, to join the cast ensemble.

Bale and Blanchett will tackle the supporting roles in "Lawless", in which Ryan Gosling is sealed to star as the lead character. The movie also stars "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)" actress Rooney Mara as well as "Kaboom" star Haley Bennett. Upon her arrival in the Philippines after her estranged father was stabbed to death, Charice is calling for justice. "Heroes and Villains" is taken from Beach Boys' long-unreleased album "The Smile Sessions". Initiated by Brian Wilson as a follow-up for their 1966's "Pet Sounds", the album was recorded throughout 1966 and 1967, but never completed until it's resurrected in 2003. A year later, a newly recorded version was released by Wilson under the title of "SMILE".

"American Reunion" has got its new trailer available for viewing pleasure via Yahoo! Movies. While the previously released red band trailer only centers on Jim and Michelle's old habbit, the brand new trailer provides a look at the rest of the gang as they gather for a class reunion at East Great Falls High.

Words on the streets are, Justin Bieber fathered a child from a backstage fling with a fan. "While we haven't yet seen the lawsuit, it's sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims," representatives for the 17-year-old heartthrob told Radar Online. Chris Brown and Marc Anthony are the latest musical guests announced for 2011 American Music Awards. The two singers will perform in a live ceremony which will take place at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 20, and will broadcast live on ABC at 8 P.M. ET.

Kim Kardashian isn't staying quiet when facing the backlash over her decision to divorce Kris Humphries. A day after she filed for divorce from her husband of 72 days, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star tries to clear the air from reports that her marriage is a publicity stunt by admitting that she might rush into marrying the NBA player.

Another day, another celebrity's marriage comes to an end. Just a day after Kim Kardashian filed a divorce from Kris Humphries, a representative for Zooey Deschanel comes out with a confirmation that the "New Girl" star has separated from her Death Cab for Cutie frontman husband, Ben Gibbard.

About the couple's decision to end their two years of marriage, one source told Us Weekly that there was no third party involved. The source also insisted that the split was "mutual and amicable". Another source, in the meantime, informed PEOPLE that the twosome are looking to "move forward with a divorce."

Justin Bieber pledges to $100,000 donation and an acoustic concert for the student of Las Vegas elementary school. He announced the good cause during a promotional appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Monday, October 31 to support his new album "Under the Mistletoe".

Over 70 percent of the student of Whitney Elementary School are currently without a permanent home. DeGeneres and Bieber have vowed to help them, pledging to match a $100,000 check from Target earlier this year. Bieber would also do a special holiday concert for them in December.

It is now confirmed that Hugh Grant is a father to a baby girl who was born in early October. The 51-year-old actor's representative confirmed the baby news but did not reveal the mother.

"I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl. He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive. He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms," the rep said.

In the photos that were hacked from her cell phone, the actress was seen naked in the bathroom and lying topless on her bed. "They were sent to my husband," she said of the photos.
