WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange's Life to Be Exposed in Biopic

Julian Assange, a founder of controversial website WikiLeaks, is apparently an interesting subject for filmmakers. His life is about to be turned into a big screen project, according to Variety. Josephson Entertainment and Michelle Krumm Productions have optioned an upcoming biography of Assange.

Entitled "The Most Dangerous Man in the World", the book is written by Andrew Fowler and covers major events in Assange's life from his childhood leading up to his website WikiLeaks which was launched in 2006. The reporter for the Australian news show "Foreign Correspondent" has repeatedly interviewed Assange, including a famous report last June released shortly after Assange was said to have gone into hiding.

Britney Spears Hooks Up With Gucci Mane in 'Hit' Song

One of the artists who will collaborate with Britney Spears is revealed. According to Rumor Fix, the pop singer has signed Gucci Mane to rap in one of her new songs titled "Hit". They reportedly will meet next week in an Atlanta studio at Mizay Entertainment to record the duet.

"Britney's so icy," said the rapper who recently got an ice cream cone tattooed on the side of his face. "I'm going to make her go Brrr." Gucci then proceeded to praise Britney, saying she's "raw and exciting. She's crazy. We like to get down like that."

'Jersey Shore' Spin-Off Starring Snooki and JWoww Is Brewing

DJ Pauly D was the first to get a "Jersey Shore" spin-off, and Snooki is next. Reports are swirling that the pint-size guidette is going to shoot the pilot this weekend and she is not going to be alone. BFF JWoww will also be prominently featured in this new project which is yet to have a title.

TMZ's sources pointed out that the pilot is shot in Long Island. "There's no special hook - it's just JWOWW and Snooki being themselves," the entertainment website said.

Take That star Gary Barlow enjoyed a memorable 40th birthday on Thursday, January 20 - he performed with Chris Martin for a star-studded audience and received a special message from Sir Elton John. The singer/songwriter took to the stage for a special charity gig in London to mark the milestone.

A nervous Barlow admitted before the concert - his first solo show in over a decade - that he was worried the birthday bash seemed egotistical, but his fans weren't concerned as he played all of his most popular hits. Barlow was joined by the Coldplay frontman for a rendition of his band's classic track "Back For Good", before the Rocket Man gave a birthday message via videolink wishing him many happy returns.

Katherine Jackson's business partner Howard Mann has criticized the administrators of Michael Jackson's estate after they filed suit over allegations he is cashing in on the late superstar's image without proper permission. Estate bosses are suing Mann, claiming he has made millions from Jackson's music, photos and drawings illegally.

According to court papers, they believe Mann hauled in more than $1.5 million from Katherine Jackson's coffee table book, "Never Can Say Goodbye", in its first two days on sale - and they want to recoup all the revenues, as well as damages. Mann is furious the lawyers behind the estate are chasing him to garner more profits, and has labeled them a "fraudulently obtained dictatorship" in a rant to TMZ.com.

Nicki Minaj's plans for a promotion-packed night in London this week were marred when a brawl broke out as she arrived to perform at a club in the U.K. capital. The hip-hop star is on the British leg of her European promotional tour and thrilled fans by announcing surprise appearances at two nightspots in London on Thursday, January 20.

Minaj's evening got off to a good start as she greeted fans at the Oceana club, but when she arrived at trendy hotspot Runway, a fight broke out in the crowd outside the venue. According to sources, the star's car circled the club several times before leaving.

The biography chronicles a very hard time in her life while she was dating Colin Farrell, he's referred to as GH (Gypsy Husband) in the book, in which she battled bulimia, cutting, self-destructive behavior and survived a suicide attempt before finding help with a psychiatrist who acted as a life preserver as things were spinning out of control.

George Clooney Recovered From Malaria He Contracted in Sudan

George Clooney's representative has confirmed the actor is completely recovered from a bout of malaria which he contracted during a recent trip to Sudan. The Oscar-winner revealed during an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan that he fell ill with the mosquito-borne disease earlier this month while filming an initiative to promote democracy in the country.

During the chat, to be aired in the U.S. on Friday, January 21, the star admitted it was the second time he has been struck down with malaria due to his frequent visits to the war-torn African nation as a leading advocate for refugees. Following the revelation on Morgan's show, speculation has been rife that Clooney is still fighting to regain his health.

Beside featuring the Slim Shady, "I Need a Doctor" also has Skylar Grey lending his vocal. Twenty three years old Paris Tassin auditioned for the first time, trying to prove to her young daughter that anyone can achieve their dream. Tassin is mother to a 5-year-old who has hearing loss since she became pregnant with her at the age of 18.

She sang a rendition of Carrie Underwood's "Temporary Home". The judges were so moved by her performance that Lopez teared up in the middle of it. "When you sang, I felt it. I really felt it. It brought tears to my eyes," Lopez said, followed by nods from Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler. "I do that for my daughter, cos I want to teach her 'go for you dreams. Do everything you want to do in life and be happy'. I love to sing. It's my dream," Tassin said. She received three yeses.

Beside busy with his big screen projects, Robert Downey Jr. has also worked on a charity album which is produced by composer Jonathan Elias to benefit anti-nuclear organization Global Zero. Along with Tankian and Sinead O'Connor, Downey Jr. contributes "Fallout" which was penned by Jim Morrison before his death in 1971. Elias recalled how he got permission to use Morrison's recording from his estate, "I went to the family through their attorneys and told them about this project, and they agreed to license it. Being a Jim Morrison fan, I was pretty excited about it."

Rockers Avenged Sevenfold have hired former Confide star Arin Ilejay as their new drummer, after parting ways with Mike Portnoy. Portnoy was drafted in to replace tragic Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan, who died from a drug overdose in December 2009 - but he was never a perfect fit.

The band let the former Dream Theater star go in December after he suggested in press interviews he would be staying in the band for the foreseeable future. The rockers released a statement saying, "We're not ready to add a permanent member - and we don't know if we'll ever be. If we do, it will be someone who;s not only a brilliant drummer but someone we've gotten to know well, and who the fans get to know and hopefully accept. Mike and the band agree it can't be him."

Megadeth's Song Saved a Boy From Wolves Attack

Rockers Megadeth inadvertently saved a Norwegian teenager's life when the lad used the band's music to escape a pack of wolves. The 13 year old was listening to the heavy rockers on his mobile phone when the four wolves appeared before him while he was walking home from school in Rakkestad, according to website Zvuki.ru.

Thinking quickly, the teen simply turned up the volume and waved his phone at the creatures, which were scared away by the noise. The boy told local reporters he had been taught not to run from wolves who live in the forests near his home but to scare them off with loud noises.

Alan Jackson Leaves Sony After 22 Years

Country icon Alan Jackson has parted ways with record label bosses at Sony Music Nashville after more than two decades on their roster. The singer joined the label in 1989 and went on to release a total of 14 studio albums on the Arista imprint, including hit singles "It Must Be Love", "Small Town Southern Man", "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere with Jimmy Buffett", and "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)", which earned him a Grammy in 2002.

But the 52 year old has ended his partnership with Sony after delivering his "final recordings" to label heads, according to a company representative. In a statement, Sony bosses thanked Jackson for "their long association and many hit records achieved as a result of that association", and insisted the parting was "amicable".

Officials at a leading U.S. family organization have urged federal agents to investigate reports suggesting a controversial new MTV series features underage actors and actresses in sex scenes. Parents Television Council bosses are disturbed by child pornography allegations made against racy new series "Skins", which has been adapted for the U.S. after becoming a hit in Britain.

In a strongly-worded letter to the the U.S Department of Justice, the PTC writes, "In addition to the sexual content on the show involving cast members as young as 15, PTC counted 42 depictions and references to drugs and alcohol in the premiere episode." Now it has emerged her mum, Marie, took her own life earlier this month after struggling with the "guilt" she felt after forcing her daughter to stay at the medical center to receive treatment for severe dehydration. Staff at the facility are now facing legal action over allegations of negligence, which reportedly led to Caro's death.

Clint Eastwood has signed up to serve as a helmer for another "A Star Is Born" film, which has Beyonce Knowles attached to portray the main female character. Movie bosses are forging ahead with plans to reboot Mel Gibson's "Lethal Weapon" franchise with a new cast after the actor refused to take part. Gibson cemented his place in Hollywood with his role as a cop in the 1987 original, and he reprised the role for three sequels.

Rumors of a fifth movie in the series emerged in 2008, but director Richard Donner revealed Gibson had turned down the chance to star in another installment. Rapper Yo Gotti has been cleared of allegations he started a fight outside a nightclub in Memphis, Tennessee which led to a mass shoot out. The hip-hop star, real name Mario Mims, was left facing a felony charge of aggravated riot over accusations an argument with his friend OG Boo Dirt in November 2010 sparked a brawl which escalated to a shooting and left six people injured.

Mims appeared at Memphis' Criminal Justice Center on Wednesday, January 19 and a judge dismissed the charge against him. After the hearing, he spoke of his relief, telling Memphis' Fox 13, "Case dismissed, it's over. It's false allegations..."

After teased in low-quality footage, Lady GaGa's new remixed song for Thierry Mugler's January 19 fashion show has finally debuted in a mini movie from the fashion house. The track reportedly is not the title track, but rather a random cut from her new album "Born This Way".

Fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco directed the movie, and he shot it before he got the music. "I'll be 100 percent honest with you: We didn't get the music until after the video," he told MTV. "Nicola [Formichetti, Mugler creative director and GaGa's stylist] hummed it to me and tried singing it to me. It was hilarious. And described it to me in a really articulate way."
