Tyler, the Creator

Meet Baudelaire! Tyler, the Creator's new alter ego was officially made public with an identification card depicted in the cover art of his sixth studio album "Call Me If You Get Lost". As Tyler Baudelaire, the rapper logged his second No. 1 album on Billboard Hot 200. It debuted at the top spot with 169,000 album-equivalent units.

The album served a follow-up to 2019's "Igor" which contained songs that were entirely written, produced, and arranged by Tyler himself. As "Igor" ruled Hot 200 two years ago, the "Goblin" star made history as the first solo rapper to ever score a No. 1 album on the chart for an entirely self-produced and arranged album.

Tyler apparently took the same approach on "Call Me If You Get Lost". The Grammy-winning hip-hop artist added a note on his "identification card," declaring that "the holder of this license wrote, composed, and arranged all songs within the attached record, unless stated otherwise."

The character, Baudelaire, was seemingly inspired by French poet Charles Baudelaire, who's famous for his mastery in exoticism. With his new alter ego, the Odd Future member showed his unruly side as he played with brash melodies along with explicit rhymes and lyrics, a departure from Igor's soulful music.

Although Tyler liked to create characters and stories around his work, he insisted his new work was based on his real life experiences. "Every line. I didn't exaggerate anything. Everything on here is real and really my life, honestly my most personal album so it's ill that people are into it," so he explained to his online followers on Twitter.

One of the standouts in the album is single "WusYaName". A story about his falling madly in love with a woman only to find out that she's already taken, the song featuring Ty Dolla $ign and NBA YoungBoy broke into top 20 on Billboard Hot 100, reached No. 6 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and bowed at No. 4 on Rolling Stone Top 100.
