Zara Larsson is no stranger to topping the charts. Ever since she won "Talang Sverige", the Swedish version of "America's Got Talent", she has put out several songs that became hits on her home country of Sweden and some other territories in Europe. However, not much was heard about her in the U.S. before she released "Lush Life" and "Never Forget You" last year.

The latter song is a duet with MNEK. Debuted in summer last year, it marks Larsson's first to enter Billboard Hot 100 and is still climbing up the all-genre chart. It is currently sitting at No. 17, it's highest peak so far.

Larsson has stated in multiple interviews that she and MNEK originally wrote the song for her. "The song was done in two hours - it felt like it wrote itself. We had a great flow. It was supposed to be my song - it was my session - but when we sent it to all the labels and they loved it," she said in a recent interview with Billboard. She went on explaining how the track ended up being a duet, adding, "[MNEK] was like, 'Well, I kind of want this song.' And I was like, 'No, I want the song.' We ended up making it a duet, which is a win-win."

She also talked to the publication about the years she spent following her "Talang" win in 2008, saying that she did a lot of things before dropping her debut EP five years later. "I keep myself busy doing other things: social media, blogging, podcasting ... I feel like it took forever for me to get where I'm at, and I'm not even where I want to be," she said.

Asked where she would like to be, she said, "I'd like to sell out worldwide stadium tours. That'd be something. Or to have sixty number ones on Billboard. Something like that. It really is a dream coming true, being on Billboard. That's absolutely one of my main goals, to have a number one on Billboard. That's a big thing for me. That means people are buying and listening to your music."
