Silento

It's been a big year for Silento. In only a few months, he went from a normal Georgia high school student to a young rapper who's been ruling the summer with his massively successful debut single, "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)".

The super catchy track was crafted by Silento along with Bolo Da Producer. In a chat with Radio.com, the teen said that he wrote the song while in school and it didn't take him too long to get it done.

"It was catchy and I repeated it every day for my peers. Then I put it in my brain and said, 'I need to make this a song.' So I took it to Bolo Da Producer," he explained. "I told him all my concepts. He made me a beat, and within 35 -40 minutes, it was done."

The track was first debuted last January and it quickly went viral. After Silento was signed to Capitol Records back in April, the song was released as a single and started to spread across the country like a wildfire.

Supported by an accompanying dance-filled music video which arrived last June, "Watch Me" has been steadily climbing up the charts. It has so far peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
