Detroit rapper Big Sean is ready to release his fourth studio album "I Decided" on February 3. Serving as the follow-up to his best-selling album "Dark Sky Paradise", the upcoming effort was inspired by the idea of rebirth.

"That's not something that people expect from a Big Sean project, so I'm happy we are delivering something unexpected. I'm excited to push the culture and push my artistry to the limit," Sean said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He later described the album as a "second chance" at life. "I [told my friend], 'Sometimes I feel like I was an old man and didn't succeed in life and asked for a second chance, and this is my second chance,' " Sean said.

The album features some previously-released tracks, including "Bounce Back", "Moves" and "Halfway Off the Balcony". "Bounce Back" was released on October 31 as the lead single off the album. The hip-hop song peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and on January 24, the single was officially certified Gold by the RIAA.

On Wednesday, January 18, Sean had an extensive interview with Beats 1's Zane Lowe to discuss his new album. The 28-year-old rapper talked about his collaboration with Eminem for "No Favors", his creative process as well as Kanye West's contribution to the album. According to Sean, Eminem was the only person he envisioned being on "No Favors". "When I heard [Eminem's] verse, I was playing that back over and over again." In regards to West, Sean said he "definitely had a presence" on the album as he helped Sean made several key changes on some tracks.

A couple days ago, Sean appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", where he revealed the concept behind the album. "The story of the album is: imagine you went through life and you made all the wrong decisions your whole life," he explained. "You get to the end of your life and your at a moment where it's like, 'God, I did everything wrong. I didn't work it out with the love of my life. I messed it up with my parents. I'm not doing the job I was sent here to do on Earth,' " he said.

In support of his new album, Sean will embark on "I Decided." tour. The 21-date trek kicks off on March 17 at the Revention Music Center in Houston and ends on April 20 at Fillmore Miami Beach at The Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami. Sean will be joined by "Uber Everywhere" rapper MadeInTYO who serves as an opening act.
