Trailer of 'Zack and Miri Make a Porno' Comes Out

The Weinstein Company comedy "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" has let out another preview inside the movie that collaborates filmmaker Kevin Smith and comedian Seth Rogen through a brand new trailer. While containing similar footages to previous red band trailer, this new video takes viewers to more refined conversations among the characters.

On other "Make a Porno" news, it has been reported that the new poster of the R-rated comedy has been banned by MPAA due to its sexual reference. Commenting on the banning of the poster which can be seen on the news photo, Smith told Entertainment Weekly, "When you've got the word 'porno' in the title, naturally, the marketing materials are gonna be scrutinized more closely by the MPAA. I understand they've got a job to do, but c'mon...this image isn't that dirty; they're both fully clad."

Before "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival which runs from September 4 to September 13, it has revealed its hilarious red band trailer. Compared to the teaser, the new footage provides more glimpses into the movie, to the other characters as well as the outrageous storyline.

Ten years after they have graduated from high school and being roommates, Zack and Miri have yet to accomplish anything great in their lives. Troubled with the second eviction notice, the two lifelong platonic friends are desperate to pull something amazing to get them quick cash. Then, they come across a moneymaking idea, making 'Star Whores', an amateur porn movie. All they need now is the actors.

Avoiding NC-17 Rating, 'Make a Porno' Holds On Nude Scene

Though director Kevin Smith had to fight hard to lower "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" rating from 'NC-17' to 'R', he apparently won't leave the nudity out of the picture. Sitting down with MTV, the director revealed that "Make a Porno" audience will still be presented with a full frontal nudity from one of the actors, Jason Mewes.

When asked by the music network whether he will still display the shot of full-frontal nudity he and Seth Rogen teased earlier, Smith undoubtedly answered, "Yeah! You get one definitive ba-- shot then you get a bonus ba-- shot in the movie later on. It's all of [Jason] Mewes. You get to see every inch of Mewes in this movie."

Toronto International Film Festival Unveils List of Special Presentations and Closing Movie

The 33rd Annual Toronto International Film Festival is right around the corner. With the opening day getting closer, on Wednesday, August 13, the festival organizers let out an additional 20 Special Presentations to the programming lineup as well as the chosen movie to close the event, Charles Martin Smith's "Stone of Destiny".

Among the list of movies announced, 12 of them will be making their world premieres on this international festival held from September 4 to 13. They include Rian Johnson's drama starring Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo and Rachel Weisz, "The Brothers Bloom", Kevin Smith's comedy "Zack and Miri Make a Porno", Richard Linklater's romantic drama which stars Zac Efron and Claire Danes, "Me and Orson Welles", Jennifer Aniston's "Management", and Colin Firth's "Genova" and "Easy Virtue".

After months fighting to lower the rating given for his forthcoming comedy "Zack and Miri Make a Porno", filmmaker Kevin Smith finally wins the appeal to get the 'R' rating. On Tuesday, August 5, the Motion Picture Association of America announced that the classification of the raunchy comedy has been revised.

According to Elizabeth Kaltman, the MPAA's spokeswoman, the dropping down of the NC-17 rating, which does not allow anyone from the age of 17 years old and under to see the film, to the R rating has been done after the group's appeals board saw The Weinstein Company's movie. With the new rating, the Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks-starring comedy can now be seen by the younger audience with parental or guardian's company.

Zack and Miri are long-time friends. They have one big problem, debt. The only way out they can come up with is making an adult movie. The first R-rated teaser trailer of "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" which has just been released online by filmmaker Kevin Smith gives out the first step of how the two platonic friends are going to make their X-rated film, the casting.

Unlike other ordinary teaser trailers, this video footage is not compiled of clips from the movie as Smith has explained earlier stating, "...it's not a trailer; it's a teaser. There ain't a frame of footage in this puppy that's in the actual flick, so feel free to watch it without fear of 'spoilers'. This is just a little something to give you a bit of a feel for the flick." The teaser appears to be a set of improvised outtakes done by the two main characters played by Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks while auditioning the potential cast members for their movie.

Former Porn Star Cast in 'Make a Porno'

The Weinstein Company has signed a former porn star to join the cast of "Zack and Miri Make a Porno". According to Hollywood Reporter, Traci Lords has been cast in the comedy movie along with Craig Robinson, Ricky Mabe, Jeff Anderson and Katie Morgan.

Lords will also join the already confirmed cast members, Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks. Further, it wasn't known what part did the 39-year-old get. Her feature credits include "Novel Romance" and "Blade".

Kevin Smith should probably be flabbergasted by now knowing that he won't have his primary wish granted on getting his "Clerks II" star Rosario Dawson boards his new writing-directing project "Zack and Miri Make a Porno."

Dawson has just pointed out to MTV that she does not think she can really be part of the movie due to her commitment to "Eagle Eye", the new thriller flick from "Disturbia" maker D.J. Caruso. Smith recently was noticed to be more than keen to have the actress in the comedy, even admitted to have written the part of Miri specifically for her.
