'X-Files: I Want to Believe' Celebrating World Premiere in L.A.
July 24, 2008 01:07:03Two days before "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" is debuting in the theaters across the U.S., the 20th Century Fox held a very special event celebrating the world premiere of the highly anticipated sci-fi movie of this summer. The first special screening event was held on Wednesday, July 23, at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.
The celebration which is open for all X-Philes saw some of its star cast ensemble grazing the red carpet, including Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny, Xzibit and Amanda Peet. Aside from the cast, the movie's two key people, director/writer Chris Carter and producer/writer Frank Spotnitz were also making an appearance at the red carpet. Other celebrities spotted coming for the event included Bai Ling and Madeline Zima.

Bringing out two new TV spots, the studio revealed more footages from the highly anticipated Chris Carter's film project.
One of the TV spots highlighted on the massive ground and air search for a missing woman, while the other focused on the dynamic between the two main characters, Mulder and Scully, and the mystery in front of them. The first video promo contains many similar footages to the previously released TV spot, but the second generally displays scatter bits of clips that expose several never-before-seen clips. The two video footages can be seen back-to-back in the player below.

Clearer Look Into 'X-Files: I Want to Believe' Clips
June 26, 2008 10:06:03Seeing the quality of the two bootleg clips outed earlier, one has to admit that fans and movie lovers alike will yearn for a much better look into the extended snippets from the upcoming "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" and they don't have to wait any longer for that. Now, the 20th Century Fox have released the official version of the clips.
Each of the two clips takes more than a minute to be viewed. Unlike the bootleg versions, the first clip is longer than the one outed earlier with an additional scene of a car is being driven through the icy road to a cabin in the middle of the woods, while the second provides a clearer idea into what Mulder and Scully are arguing about. Unfortunately, though fans could get a better look into the clips from these official versions, the clips still do not help to give out hints about the movie's storyline.

After the screening of the "X-Files" sequel during the 2008 Los Angeles Film Festival, two bootleg clips can now be enjoyed by fans everywhere.
Since the clips are said to be taped using cellphone camera, the quality of the two extended clips aren't good but still watchable. The first clip focuses on the search of the missing woman's body by the FBI. It helps to explain some of the footages outed in the earlier trailers and teasers and pretty much intense. The second clip displays the argument between Mulder and Scully after Mulder tries to dig up some information from Father Joe, the priest who helps the FBI in finding the body of a missing woman.

The trailer opens with a night time shot of a snow covered woods and a cabin in the middle of the woods. The less than two minutes video has been posted firstly by IGN and it gives a much better look into the film than the earlier bootleg version of its teaser.
Early on from the beginning, the compilation of clips has provided the fans of the hit sci-fi series with a mystery as the trailer starts with a shot of a snowy ground leading to a forest with a voice of a man saying, "Tell me what you see?" After that, the screen went black for a brief moment before resuming showing a horrified and shocked woman looking to the man behind the camera. Then, the hunt for truth begins as written white words "There are mysteries that cannot be solved" appears on the screen.

'X-Files 2' Got 'I Want to Believe' Title
April 17, 2008 09:04:05The title to the much anticipated sequel of the sci-fi thriller "The X-Files 2" has finally being unveiled as the film's distributor, the 20th Century Fox, have agreed to use the name on Wednesday, April 16. The Associated Press reported the creator of the television series as well as the director of the sequel has revealed that the second X-Files film will be known as "The X-Files: I Want to Believe".
In a telephone interview with AP, Carter revealed that the title has been decided from the first time he and co-scribbler Frank Spotnitz developed the script, but was kept under tight wraps by the studio executives to give them more time in making sure that it is a marketable one. Explaining about the reason behind the choosing of the title itself, the filmmaker confessed that it was not a hard thing to do. "It's a natural title. It's a story that involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science. 'I Want to Believe.' It really does suggest Mulder's struggle with his faith," so the 51-year-old screenwriter claimed.

Bootleg Teaser Trailer and Poster of 'X-Files' Leaked Out!

The bootleg teaser, which takes a bit more than a minute to be viewed, is said to be taped from its preview at the Paley Film Festival on March 26, 2008, according to FileFront.com.
This leaked teaser contains scenes that are pretty much different from the earlier teaser. It begins with the shot of some sort of a laboratory. Then, it quickly changes into a shot of a shocked girl which is followed by appearing words stating, "There are mysteries that cannot be solved." Further, the video footage continues with more glimpses into the film. Unlike in the previous teaser, this new teaser gives out the clearer look into the lead characters played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

Progress Made on "The X Files" Sequel
July 16, 2007 02:07:13Delivering good news for the fans of the sci-fi franchise, David Duchovny pointed out during this year's Television Critics Association press tour that the follow-up to 1998's "The X Files", the big screen version of FOX's hit TV series of the same name, has gone one step further in its development stage.
"I'm supposed to see a script next week," the actor remarked Saturday, July 14 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, adding that the show's creator Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz both wrote the screenplay and that the former guy is also in charge to direct.
