I loved this movie - I really felt like these were women who I would choose to be in my life and they reminded me of my group of girls. Candace Bergen's relationship with Meg Ryan reminded me of my relatioship with my mother. Very well done!!

Did Diane English write this? I certainly hope not, because she's slipping. The dialogue in this film was EMBARRASSING. I eagerly anticipated sharp witty lines and a modern version of a film classic. What I got was a made for TV movie that cost me $11.00. Candice Bergen was the only believable character. Oh and can we stop making the black women in film so "ghetto"? I think Barrack and Michelle have taught us that you can be black and not sound like you're an uneducated hip hop artist. It makes the subplot of the friendship between Alex and the others seem pretty implausible. The characters were over exaggerated. Wait until the video and, even then, wait until you have nothing better to do.

I've watched this movie multiple times and I loved it. As for Jada Pinkett's part as Alex was well played. She was NOT ghetto. In fact did you happen to notice that she enunciated when she spoke?! I suggest that people learn that black people can fall between ghetto and Obama. It is not so cut and dry.
