Liev Schreiber on Sabretooth's Possible Return to 'Wolverine 2'
March 10, 2010 10:03:38Following plan to start the production of "Wolverine 2" in early 2011, Liev Schreiber has once again talked about the possibility of seeing his character Sabretooth in the upcoming movie. Met at the press conference for "Repo Men" on Tuesday, March 9, he admitted that he loves the character so much that he would love to reprise the role in the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" sequel.
Speaking to IGN, Schreiber said he had a dinner with Hugh Jackman on Monday, March 8 and they discussed the possibility of fitting Sabretooth into the film, even it is only for a cameo. Still, the 42-year-old claimed he is not sure about that, saying "It's still not clear whether or not Victor [Sabretooth's real name] will be present in the Japan storyline. In the Japan storyline as I remember it from the Wolverine comics, Victor was not there. So I don't know."

'Wolverine 2' Heading to Japan in January 2011
March 04, 2010 09:03:51"Wolverine 2" is set to stick its claws in Japan in early 2011. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is scheduled to kick off principal photography in the Asian country in January next year and the script has been finished.
The screenplay, which Christopher McQuarrie started to write since August 2009, is said having a different story than it was originally thought and Wolverine's adventures in martial arts will be added with a love story featuring a Japanese actress. "It's a beautiful story and will be very different than the first film," a source gushes.

During a "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" DVD/Blu-ray event in Los Angeles, the 46-year-old told Latino Review that he is yet to be attached to the sequel project.
"I don't even know if I would be involved," Hood responded when presented with question of what story he has in mind. "Right now I'm not attached. Nobody's attached. They're developing a script and we'll see where everybody is. I'm hoping to be shooting something next year and I don't think that 'Wolverine' will be ready for next year."

'Valkyrie' Writer Hired for 'Wolverine 2'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Christopher McQuarrie has signed on to write the script for the movie that deals with a mutant with healing powers and a skeleton laced with the indestructible metal.
McQuarrie, the producer/co-writer of "Valkyrie", is no stranger to the "X-Men" series. The scribe, who won an Oscar for writing "The Usual Suspects", teamed up with director Bryan Singer in penning the 2000's "X-Men" film. However, he voluntarily took his name off the movie because the final version was more in line with David Hayter's script.

At "Taking Woodstock" junket, the Charles Townsend of "The Painted Veil" revealed that he is unsure whether he wants to reprise the role taking his age into consideration.
"I'm over 40 now, and do I really want to go through the physical stuff that it took to pull that off again? I'm not so sure," the life-partner of actress Naomi Watts explained as quoted by Cinema Blend. He added, "As an audience member, I'd be really interested to see how you'd go from the Liev Schreiber Victor Creed to the Tyler Mane Victor Creed [from X-Men]. So I'd like to see that."
