Production on "Used Guys" Is Being Delayed

"Due to scheduling issues, production is being delayed on 'Used Guys' ... until sometime next year," the 20th Century Fox said.

The big-budget, sci-fi comedy flick, which is about to star Ben Stiller and Jim Carrey, was supposed to begin shooting June 11, that's for everybody to know.

English actress Emily Mortimer is about to join Ben Stiller and Jim Carrey, starring in the comedy "Used Guys". With Jay Roach in hand producing, a June 11 start date is being eyed.

Set in a futuristic, woman-run society where men are cloned and sold like cars, the story revolves around two men who are returned and then go in search of the lost meaning of manhood.

The "Used Guys" will be busier in the coming days as the film will start its production in June later this year in New Mexico.

Announced the Twentieth Century Fox film project was Jay Roach who has been tapped to direct the $75 million budgeted comedy.

Interested in the movie for a while, Hollywood comic Jim Carrey soon then considering co-starring with Ben Stiller in the high concept comedy, "Used Guys," to be directed by Jay Roach. The 20th Century Fox production tells about two clones who are replaced by upgraded models whose enhancements include better listening and lovemaking skills. The scorned clones make a run for it, bent on regaining their dignity by searching for a male nirvana known as 'Mantopia.'

"Used Guys" is in early development at present, but is expected to go into production next spring. Both Carrey and Stiller will play the clones.
