Paul Greengrass Leaves 'Bourne 4'
December 01, 2009 02:12:54It seems that Jason Bourne will not return to the big screen as soon as it was expected. After the film's star Matt Damon informed that he was working on the script with director Paul Greengrass, the helmer has reportedly quit the untitled Bourne 4 project more than a week ago.
According to Playlist, Greengrass was not happy that Universal Pictures hired Joshua Zetumer to write what they call a "parallel" script without consulting it to him before. The "Ocean's Twelve" scribe George Nolfi was originally hired to pen the screenplay for this fourth "Bourne" film, but apparently no one liked his work.

'Bourne 4' Script Still in the Works
November 13, 2009 04:11:13The next installment of "Bourne" film franchise still has a long way before it starts its production. In a recent interview with Total Film, Matt Damon revealed he and director Paul Greengrass are still working on the script for untitled Bourne 4 project.
"Personally, selfishly, we'd all really like to do it," Damon claimed. He later explained why it takes a long time for them to complete the script, "But we are really serious about trying to get the story and the script right because the only thing more disappointing than not having another one of these movies is - for us and for movie fans - to make one that isn't good."

'Bourne 4' Recruits a New Writer
August 21, 2009 11:08:59Long without any update, the fourth "Bourne" movie comes out to the attention with a new writer intact. Breaking the news was The Hollywood Reporter, which claimed Universal Pictures has signed screenwriter Josh Zetumer to pen a new script, which has been described as a parallel script, for this untitled Bourne 4 project.
Zetumer, who has generated buzz for writing "Dune", is brought in after scribe George Nolfi had to step away. Nolfi, who worked on "The Bourne Ultimatum", was originally on board for the penning of the fourth entry, but was forced to depart due to his commitment to "The Adjustment Bureau". It is still unclear whether Zetumer's work will be integrated with Nolfi's.

He furthermore confirmed that "Ocean's Twelve" writer George Nolfi will indeed pen the script and is expected to finish the draft by June.

'The Parsifal Mosaic' and 'Bourne 4' Are Likely Two Different Films
February 13, 2009 02:02:08"The Parsifal Mosaic", and the fourth installment of "Bourne" series, "Untitled Bourne 4 Project", could end up being two separate movies. The speculations rose to the surface after Variety reported that Universal Pictures are in talks for screen rights to "Mosaic", the espionage thriller novel from author Robert Ludlum.
While "Mosaic" is shaped up to be the first major project produced by Captivate Entertainment, the company that controls screen rights to Ludlum novels, the trade reported that Universal will be using an original idea for the fourth "Bourne" film. The report contradicted the remark made by "Bourne 4" producer Frank Marshall earlier, which suggested that the new "Bourne" film could use "Mosaic" as its source material.
