I have been told this movie is the one to lookout for in 2008. Tod H. Williams is something of a renegade filmmaker. In 2003 he released The Big Bend. It had a pretty limited release here, but it had a huge opening in most of Eastern Europe. Biggest reception in was in Poland. Excited for Train Wreck. best to all, Thomas

the inside word-- at least insofar as i have heard-- is that the movie is indeed incredible

I just saw a screening of Trainwreck at the Seattle International Film Festival this past weekend. Let me first start out by saying that the movie is brilliant! It is the best dark comedy since Napoleon Dynamite. I laughed the whole way through! Both screenings at the festival sold out and the audience absolutely loved it! It should be hitting theaters soon...so keep your eyes open!

I saw this movie at a film festival in the Hamptons. I did not have high expectations. Boy was I mistaken. Frankly, it rates amongst the best dark comedies i have ever seen. I've never seen Seann W. Scott pull off this kind of acting before - you will be mistaken if you think it is slapstick comedy. It is not. We get to see a softer, subtler side to Scott's repertoire. It was a great movie. I am not quite sure why it has not been released yet, perhaps it has in limited release but i have not seen ads or write ups about it. I hope it gets out there.
