'The Time Traveler's Wife' Goes to New York for World Premiere
August 13, 2009 11:08:19On Wednesday, August 12, two days before it opens wide in theaters, "The Time Traveler's Wife" got a red carpet treatment at the Big Apple as Warner Bros. Pictures threw a world premiere event for the romantic drama in Ziegfeld Theatre. Before the special screening took place at 7:00 P.M., a number of celebrities were spotted posing for the press at the red carpet.
Among those present were the film's leading actors, Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams. Bana was seen arriving along with his wife Rebecca Gleeson. Joining them were Ron Livingston who plays Gomez, Jane McLean who portrays Charisse, and the young cast members, Hailey McCann, Tatum McCann and Brooklynn Proulx.

Four in total, the snippets like the previously-released trailer focus on the growing romantic relationship between its leading characters, Rachel McAdams' Clare Abshire and Eric Bana's Henry DeTamble.
Clare trying to convince Henry to have a date with her, Henry buying her million dollars-winning lottery tickets and Henry proposing to her are three of the newly-outed clips. The last snippet, meanwhile, sees Clare's friend, Gomez, telling her not to marry Henry, providing her with a fact that he thinks Clare should know.

Based on Audrey Niffenegger's best-selling novel of the same name, the romantic drama sees Bana as Henry De Tamble, a Chicago librarian with a rare genetic disorder that causes him to shift back and forth through time. Bruce Joel Rubin Falls for "Traveler's Wife"
January 04, 2007 11:01:40Looks like it will be some time more before moviegoers can see "The Time Traveler's Wife" in theaters. Variety has reported that New Line Cinema has decided to not using the screenplay penned by Jeremy Leven and appointed "Deep Impact" scribe Bruce Joel Rubin to rewrite it instead.
So far, the project has already had Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Nick Wechsler on producers' seats with "Flightplan" helmer Robert Schwentke being attached to direct. Meanwhile, "Mean Girls" star Rachel McAdams is still in negotiations to take the female lead role.

Rachel McAdams to Become A "Wife"
October 21, 2006 11:10:39Striking actress Rachel McAdams is in line for her next acting stint. TMZ reported that the beauty is involved in talks to have a starring role in "The Time Traveler's Wife", a romantic drama of New Line Cinema production.
If a deal is reached, the project thus will mark the reunion between McAdams and screenwriter Jeremy Leven after their collaboration in "The Notebook." In the meantime, it is also reported that Stephen Frears and Robert Schwentke have been the studio's two main choices in its list of directors.

posted by roxanne on Aug 08, 2009the movie was superb, i left the cinema with mascarra stained cheeks and very soggy tissues! Eric bana and racheal mcadams' performances were outstanding, i as the audiance could 100% feel the love shared between the two. just bought the book for an english project and can not wait to start reading it. i defy anyone who has not watched this film!
