On Wednesday, August 12, two days before it opens wide in theaters, "" got a red carpet treatment at the Big Apple as Warner Bros. Pictures threw a world premiere event for the romantic drama in Ziegfeld Theatre. Before the special screening took place at 7:00 P.M., a number of celebrities were spotted posing for the press at the red carpet.

Among those present were the film's leading actors, and . Bana was seen arriving along with his wife Rebecca Gleeson. Joining them were who plays Gomez, Jane McLean who portrays Charisse, and the young cast members, Hailey McCann, Tatum McCann and Brooklynn Proulx.

A series of brand new clips from "" have made their way out for viewing pleasure. Four in total, the snippets like the previously-released trailer focus on the growing romantic relationship between its leading characters, ' Clare Abshire and 's Henry DeTamble.

Clare trying to convince Henry to have a date with her, Henry buying her million dollars-winning lottery tickets and Henry proposing to her are three of the newly-outed clips. The last snippet, meanwhile, sees Clare's friend, Gomez, telling her not to marry Henry, providing her with a fact that he thinks Clare should know.

What if you fall in love with a man that travels involuntarily through time? Through a newly-debuted trailer of "" from Yahoo! Movies, Clare Abshire deals with such complication when she gets herself in a passionate love affair with Chicago librarian Henry DeTamble, who has a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel.

Having known Henry since she was six years old, Clare learns from the very beginning that Henry is a time traveler and waits for the right time to build a romantic relationship with him. But, marrying Henry isn't as easy as it looks since he often disappears for long periods of time and thus complications are bound to follow.

Looks like it will be some time more before moviegoers can see "" in theaters. Variety has reported that New Line Cinema has decided to not using the screenplay penned by Jeremy Leven and appointed "Deep Impact" scribe Bruce Joel Rubin to rewrite it instead.

So far, the project has already had , Dede Gardner, and Nick Wechsler on producers' seats with "" helmer Robert Schwentke being attached to direct. Meanwhile, "" star is still in negotiations to take the female lead role.

Based on Audrey Niffenegger's 2003 best-selling novel of the same title, the project depicts the impact of time travel to the marriage relationship between a beautiful woman and a man who has a genetic disorder known as "Chrono-Impairment" which causes him to involuntarily travel through time.

If a deal is reached, the project thus will mark the reunion between McAdams and screenwriter Jeremy Leven after their collaboration in "." In the meantime, it is also reported that Stephen Frears and Robert Schwentke have been the studio's two main choices in its list of directors.

I've read the book. Seriously, it's awesome. and i can't believe they're making a movie outta it. this is so cool. gotta watch.

If ever a book needed to be made into a film, this is it. I hope it does the book justice as it is a magnificent read. Couldn't put it down.

the only man i want to marry is eric bana.. but everyday i always imagine him as henry detamble. finally i dumped in love with claire abshire and rachel mc adams. TOTALLY BEAUTIFUL novel and no wonders to watch the movie soon. :)

i've read this book like 7 times could'nt put it down. and to my greatest joy they're making a movie i'm xtatic,cant wait for the 14th. great book , awesome.

the movie was superb, i left the cinema with mascarra stained cheeks and very soggy tissues! Eric bana and racheal mcadams' performances were outstanding, i as the audiance could 100% feel the love shared between the two. just bought the book for an english project and can not wait to start reading it. i defy anyone who has not watched this film!

Book was wonderful..Don't think that the movie gave it justice, but movies rarely give justice to novels. Still, an amazing film with great actors!
