Two More Deals Made at Sundance
January 27, 2007 11:01:48Joining the burgeoning list of movies picked up by film companies for distribution, two more titles screened at this year's Sundance Film Festival, "The Ten" and "King of California", have been reported to also land deals to get their way in commercial theaters.
Presenting ten stories that each is inspired by one of the Ten Commandments, "Ten" is secured by ThinkFilm with a plan for an August theatrical release in North America. The studio is said to partner on the $4.5 million deal with City Lights Home Entertainment which will handle DVD and digital distribution of the flick.

August 07, 2006 04:08:00While Jessica Alba, Adam Brody, Ken Marino, Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux have all signed on to star in the comedy "The Ten", the likes of Winona Ryder, Famke Janssen, Gretchen Mol, Liev Schreiber, Rob Corddry, Ron Silver and Oliver Platt have just joined the City Lights Pictures' film project.
"The Ten", the satire that spoofs the Bible's Ten Commandments, is being directed by David Wain from a screenplay by Wain and Ken Marino.
