Trailer for Ang Lee's 'Taking Woodstock'
March 27, 2009 09:03:53The brand new trailer for Focus Features' forthcoming comedy "Taking Woodstock" has just been debuted. Premiered during Comedy Central's "Important Things with Demetri Martin" with an introduction provided by Demetri Martin himself, the promotional video chronicles the events leading to Elliot Tiber offering his family motel and musical festival permit to the Woodstock Festival's organizers.
"Taking Woodstook" follows Tiber, an interior designer in Greenwich Village. Working at his parents' Catskills motel as its part-time manager, he becomes the local town's issuer of event permits. When he heard that the planned Woodstock concert has had its own permit denied by a neighboring town, he called to offer his own, an act that would change his life, and American culture, forever.
